Great App. Recommend. I enjoy this app a lot. I know that there are a lot of book written by people who are not published but they should be. Not all of them of course but some of these books are really good! Also you can find books written by published authors.. they are just typed by other Whattpad Users.. that works for me. All in all this is a really good app.. but I do wish I could find more published books.

This app and site are totally addicting. :-) I've read a lot of the books on here and have found some really good writers. Yes, there are a lot of typos from some authors but overall, their ideas are really good. When I first installed the app 1.5 months ago, it crashed most of the time. However, with the recent updates and ICS upgrade, the app works smoothly for 90% of the time on my Motorola Xoom tablet. I normally don't bother writing reviews for things but I highly recommend this app. I use it every day.

This app indeed introduced me to Wattpad with its huge selection of (curated) ebooks. But I have to dock 2 stars because: 1) It felt less an app than an app-ified website. 2) It constantly forgot my preferred language. The "Explore" screen id the worst. 3) It routinely "not responding", although no need to actually "Force Close". 4) No easy way to send feedback via the app; one must go to the full site. That said, I'd still recommend this app to everyone who loves reading.

I just got the new my touch and before I had a iPod I like the version on the iPod it seems more easy too understand then this version. for example on ipod it has a custom column but on the my touch it has no custom columns at all I believe it makes it much easier to look for your books. so can you please put that in just saying thanks :-)

As someone who has grown up with a deep love of reading, yes getting free books is fantastic, yes there is a lot of romance, but what sets this apart is how for the first time, authors have a chance to publish their own writing. From the moment I got this app, ive been addicted. I read all the time and I can always find an author who writes things im interested in. plus I can write my own stories and everyone can comment on what they do and dont like about it. I love wattpad and the only thing id improve on is the books that were taken down id have a section where you could at least see where previous books were incase you didnt know the title or what happened to it

I like the app generally, but, there are a few issues stopping me give it 5 stars. 1) someone has made the decision to use the country you are in to override language selection each time you open it. This is very frustrating. It should use the system language as the default, let the user override and have the option of remembering that choice. 2) while it's possible to step the scroll speed up or down, I typically find one speed too slow and the next too fast. More control over speed would be good.

I love Wattpad. People just don't realize that this isn't an app for published books. Anyway, it's good for people who really like to read, but the you way you turn pages, or scroll, rather, is inefficient and annoying. There's also a lot of romance, but most of these stories are written by people from early teens to early twenties, so they're all fairly young. All in all, it operates smoothly, and has some great stories. I suggest you install it right now.

Using Samsung Note with Wattpad v2.6.0 Dev quickly fixed serious fault introduced after update. Easy to use and navigate. Negative points: 1) Paragraph gaps are too big. 2) There is no facility to bookmark. 3) No facility to search. 4) After recent update you are not allowed to change the background and all that is left is either white or black.

I normally read in the dark at night, so I really loved being able to read with a black background and then in the morning to change it to white text. But instead I get brightness setting, which I turned down to far apparently, since now all I see is a black screen. I can slightly see white, but not enough to be able to change brightness back. Please fix. :(

This app indeed introduced me to Wattpad with its huge selection of (curated) ebooks. But I have to dock 2 stars because: 1) It felt less an app than an app-ified website. 2) *fixed, language is now sticky 3) It routinely "not responding", although no need to actually "Force Close". 4) No easy way to send feedback via the app; one must go to the full site. The updates get on my nerves. I miss the colors and fonts and old settings. My library always has to be downloaded again. It's annoying because I have to find my place all over again. I was really hoping to love this app, but it's so rough around the edges, free books don't even make up for it. Lines cut in half on the bottom of the screen, searches for authors returning no results, hopping out and back into app causes it to go back to home screen and other issues make it worth it to me to pay for the same stories on the kindle app.

This is my second account with wattpad. I had a book I was reading on the last one. I had to switch my phone and when trying to log in again wattpad did not recognize my email. I set up a new account and the book is no longer here. In fact I do not see any authors I recognize anymore. The book was reading I had searched everywhere for it and it is not in any book store or library. I am not as happy as i used to be

This is a good idea but there needs to be some way for readers to filter quality because a lot of the stories I have flicked through seem to be written by teenagers. They are highly rated (prob by other teens) which is fine but I stopped reading the Baby sitters club a long time ago and would like access to more mature reads. Thanks.

The writers are, from what I've observed, were predominantly female, and it also follows that many of the books appear to be directed towards a feminine demographic. The app atmosphere feels strangely welcoming, like you won't regret just picking up any book. Now, I'm not a reader; I was more interested in how this was rated very highly. I'm still sticking with aural entertainment because display eats lots of juice on my phone. But I get it.

I love Wattpad. This app is convienient and if you have already saved books in your library, you can acess them quite easily. Granted, I may be looking in the wrong place but that brings up the issue that such a huge category as children's books should have a folder on its own. As far as I can see though, there are no books specifically for children between ages 5 and 12! You must be joking! If there are such books, then a lot more has to be done to make them easier to find!

i really like this wattpad app because i can read diff stories and keep in touch with it. the problem is that when i open wattpad the stories are deleted and then downloading. it's really frustating. lol.

Everytime I have downloaded the books I want in my library.....when I go back in 2 read ALL my Books are gone. Why? What can I do to stop this from continuing to happen?

After the last update, it's always going down. I can't even update the stories in my lib. The new controls are irritating. PLEASE BRING BACK THE OLD ONE! I REGRETTED UPDATING THE APP.
