Hey look, another Breakout clone. Did we really need one of those? I didn’t think so either, but it turns out maybe I was wrong. Normally I struggle through a few levels so I can say that I’ve played enough to write my review… BUT In the case of 3D Brick Breaker Revolution 2 I’ve already played 20+ levels in Classic mode (some more than once) and 3 level sets in Revolution mode, and I’m actually not bored yet. I’m still not eager to run out and buy every Breakout clone that I can get my hands on, but if developers do decide they need to continue making such games, I hope they take a serious look at this one as a good example of what to do right. 3D Brick Breaker Revolution is a new twist on the brick breaker genre. Offered on both iPhone and iPod Touch, the app attempts to harness the addicting gameplay the genre is known for and also add a few new features and ideas to the mix. The game features three different modes to choose from, Classic Mode, Revolution Mode, and Time Attack. Classic Mode has 99 levels to play through and eventually the player fights a final boss. Revolution mode has the player trying to stay alive as long as possible. The Time Attack mode challenges the player to get as far as they can before the time runs out.
