3D Lake District lets you explore England's most popular mountain region on your iPhone, iPod or iPad with 1:25,000 Ordnance Survey OpenData maps. These are the same maps that are used by the UK Map app - they are from Ordnance Survey, but they are not the same as the Explorer or Landranger paper maps. They include contour lines and some footpaths are superimposed using data from OpenStreetM... Read Moreap.org. Use one finger on the map to move your viewpoint N,S,E and W. To change the direction in which you're looking, move the slider at the top of the screen. The sliders at the sides of the screen move your viewpoint up and down, and pitch you direction of view up and down. You can also pinch to zoom in and out.
