Penpower, inc. has finally revealed their Android version of their popular software called “WorldCard Mobile”, which can now be found on the market for a mere $5.99. For those of you unfamiliar with the app, it’s the premier business card scanning application for mobile devices. Imagine what Google Goggles can do with a business card, but far more accurate and powerful. Some of the more outstanding features of the app include the ability to use a logo found on the card as the contacts picture automatically, identifies and correctly labels phone numbers, email address, websites, instant messenger handles, and more. It also supports an impressive 7 languages including English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Dutch. Add to it the ability to sync to a multitude of sources including Outlook, ACT! Premium, Pocket PC, Palm and more, and you’ve got the ultimate way of managing those stacks of business cards that you have just laying around. After using this app for a full 24 hours, I was amazed to find nearly no flaws. The software is polished and acts exactly as you’d expect from the leader in card scanning technology. I would highly recommend this app for anyone who needs to have their business cards handy, but doesn’t like to lug them around or search through a seemingly endless pile of paper. A new offering from Spearhead Entertainment has hit the Android market earlier today, called Mana Chronicles. This fast paced and intense RPG features detailed graphics, an interesting storyline, and a well tuned cast of characters. The small price toag make this game worth a look for sure, and you can expect any title from Spearhead to get better and better with every update. I thank the developer for allowing me a sneak peak of the game before its release to the public, and I must say I was quite impressed. Of course, the market version is surely far more polished than my test, which gave me countless hours of fun and eased the pains of boredom. Background Information A new notepad has entered the ring in hopes of attaining stardom in this tough battle for which is easiest and most convenient. In this battle, NoteIt is a serious contender for the title! Application Description This handy note taking app is one of the quickest evolving I’ve ever seen. The developer is working hard to make this the best of best in the noting category and is doing a fantastic job. Sorting has never been easier, as you can sort by colors, folders, importance, created date, modified date, and more. Use it as a diary, a shopping list, or even a reminder with customizable alarms. And now the app features the ability to attach photos and backing up to your SD Card. The only serious set backs to this app are the lack of backing up to an online server, as other note apps do and the lack of widgets. Developer Information: Kanokgems Price: Free What Was Good How Can it be Improved Conclusion An awesome new offering with a very active developer, NoteIt should be expected to go far very quickly. Add in that the app is free, and you’ll quickly see a winning combo.
