Ontwikkelaars konden vorige week beginnen met het aanleveren van applicaties voor iOS 4. Ze hebben aan die oproep gehoor gegeven: de eerste applicaties komen nu de App Store binnendruppelen. De applicatie ActivePrint Lite is er al klaar voor en dat geldt ook voor het spelletje reMovem en de applicatie van de online opslagdienst Dropbox (die meteen een paar bugfixes heeft gekregen). Bij de applicaties die nog onderweg zijn naar de App Store kwamen we ook een Nederlandse nieuwkomer tegen: ShopZoeker, waarmee je het assortiment van Bol.com kunt doorzoeken (geen officiële app). Ontwikkelaars hoeven hun applicaties alleen opnieuw te compileren met de eerder uitgebrachte iOS 4 SDK. Maar het is natuurlijk mooier als ze ook meteen wat nieuwe functies van iOS 4 meenemen. Sommige daarvan moeten de ontwikkelaars handmatig toevoegen, zoals Background Task Completion.
