It’s that time again! Apple has released OS update 4.3 for the iPhone, iPod Touch, Apple TV, and the iPad, bringing some cool new features to the respective devices. Existen varios programas para hacer streaming y hemos probado varios de ellos, pero uno de los más sencillos en su uso y sobre todo, de los que mejor se ha comportado, es el que hoy os presentamos. Air Video es una aplicación que os permitirá hacer streaming del Mac o PC al iPhone, pudiendo ver películas sin tener que estar sentado frente al ordenador o el televisor. Su uso y configuración, al contrario de lo que nos tienen acostumbrados los programas de streaming, es muy sencillo. Simplemente os teneis que instalar un servidor en el ordenador y la aplicación en el iPhone. Pero para que no os perdais por el camino, vamos a explicarlo paso a paso. 1.- Instalamos el servidor en el Mac o PC y lo configuramos para decirle qué carpetas queremos compartir con el teléfono. After I downloaded the Air Video Server on-line and added the app, I followed the video from the website, and it all worked exactly as advertised. I use a Mac with Leopard OS X, and I was able to convert a .mov file to playback perfectly! I watched 5 minutes of a movie as a test, and there was no buffering necessary. This version has ads, and a banner at the bottom of the screen while you're viewing the video, so worth the $2.99 if that bothers you. It even played back movies on my external hard drive. You would never realize you're streaming video. The audio and video quality is as good as having it on the device!

Update.....have been using for almost a week and works perfectly. The only difference betwen this and paid version is a small ad at bottom of screen which is no big deal. After a few minutes you won't even notice. If it bothers you buy full. Well worth the money. As a free app this is unreal!!! I really mean wow!! I can sit on my deck and watch any movie on my desktop in perfect clarity. Also does not buffer. Converted The Office .avi in just over 1 minute. Unreal!!! Between this app, file storage apps and idownload I can't belive what I can do with my Touch Room for more features but even with that said I will give the app 5 stars.

This app does every it is supposed to do and is quick and easy eo set up. It would be a 5 star app (heck, make that 10!) if you could send the signal out to TV. My wife and I watch most of our movies via iPhone out to HDTV and if we could just stream them, we'd have the whole hard drive at our fingertips! I'd gladly buy the full version if this feature was added. The seek feature is a little sketchy, but not bad. Thanks and keep up the good work!

This app works almost as well as the WiFiVideo app from this vendor which stopped working with iPhone 3.0, was never updated, and now has vanished from the app store. I'm glad they have made a free version so I could see how bad the performance got before shelling out for another version of the same app. I wonder if they will vanish this app and try to sell me yet another version when the next iPhone OS update comes out. The app could be good, but the developer cannot be trusted.

When it comes to expensive apps, I prefer to try a lite version before spending any money on them. This lite version has failed to meet expectations. I was able to access my home movies successfully, however the itunes playlists I selected were marked as invalid and could not be played. How is this possible? They are m4v & mp4 itunes formatted videos purchased from the itunes store. Why are they "invalid"? The developers need to fix this because this trial version doesn't instill a desire to pay for the full version. As of right now, I am going to save my money. PLEASE FIX THIS!!

This is to the iPhone what tversity is to the xbox/ps3. It will let you stream your entire home library over 3g and wifi at amazing quality. Don't listen to the negative reviews about DRM protected files. Files should not have DRM to begin with and it is foolish to purchase restricted files! Doing so only hurts you, the end user by limiting what you can do with the content you legally purchased! This is not the fault of the developers it is your fault as a consumer for buying into such a restrictive and anticompetitive system.
