Motorola Offers Up to $200 for Old Phones in Android Buy-Back Program

by Motorola Mobility is offering up to $200 to consumers who trade in their “business-ready” phones for a new Android model. The company, which is in the process of being bought by Google for $12.5 billion, is offering the trade-in deals to owners of 16 devices, including Droid Razr Maxx, Droid 4, Atrix and Atrix 2 and Titanium. The company has set up a site that offers estimates for the old models’ worth. To get the money back, users have to provide a proof of purchase for their old Motorola device. The push comes as Google tries to make inroads into the corporate market with Android. Corporate users, once widely beholden to RIM’s BlackBerry, have embraced the iPhone in what has been called the “Bring Your Own Device [BYOD]” movement. Works great on LG Optimus V running This has been by far one of the most useful and reliable apps I've downloaded to date. I've been using it for 4 months without issue. The easy nap alarm, the ability to change the snooze duration on the fly and hourly chime options are my favorite. There's always room for improvement and one I'd like to have is an hourly chime that rang which hour it is, but the current features make it a far better option than any traditional clock I've tried.

Started using it when I got my Droid X and found it to be a great product. Then I got my Xoom and installed it. Unfortunately, on the Xoom it constantly force closes, (making me late for work) or when it does go off I have to enter my password, then open it with the notifications, while it keeps going off, and going off and going off and annoying my wife. while I try to enter the math response. Sent e-mail to dev no response. Going to try Alarm Clock Extreme. Uninstalled on Xoom.

The alarm works great - I love the buttons on the front rather than slide stuff like the default alarm. I wished the "speak time" or "speak weather" features can work independently of the system media volume. And the weather widget (which the "speak weather" part depends on) is wrong - it says "-16 degrees Celsius" but clicking on it says "4 degrees Celsius". This is a good app for some basic alarm functionality but I wished everything worked as it should.

Functions well, and certainly does the job. I like the flexibility for using ringtones or music, and love the feature to dim the display. What I don't like: 1. Brightness reverts to the highest setting when the alarm goes off. It's too bright and jolts me out of my sleep and wakes up my wife. 2. No way to turn off the option for different snooze times after hitting the snooze button. 3. Phone doesn't go back to the selected brightness setting after snoozing. Screen remains at max brightness.

This is easily the most fully featured alarm on android. There are enough options to create just about any type of alarm you might need. My favorite feature is the ability to skip the next alarm. This is useful if you have a recurring alarm, such as a weekday alarm for work or school, but want to skip the next instance, in case of a holiday. This app makes it easy to do in just a few taps. Love it! If you are looking for an alarm app, just stop and download this one. You won't regret it.

I would have given this awesome alarm clock 5 stars except for their snarky little ad: the ad is invisible for 3-5 seconds (about the time it takes you to fully wake and shut it off) and then pops up at the bottom, same size as the Dismiss button, right where the dismiss button just was. So you get tricked into pressing the ad, and your browser opens, and the alarm is STILL going off. Getting a different alarm clock app. Being tricked 1st thing in the morning sucks.

I love this alarm clock app, it does everything I need it to do and more. It has some great features, being able to select which days certain alarms go off is handy. I have it set for 645am Monday thru Friday, to get the kids up for school, and 9pm Sunday thru Thursday nights to wake the hubby up for work. I don't use the math problem feature, but its a neat idea for those who need to get their brains working a little more to make sure they stay awake. And you can't beat the fact that's its freeee!

Though it took a while to set it up to my customization preference, the alarm is the best alarm I've ever had. I use it with my Droid 4. With your alarms set and saved as enabled (ring at time) or disabled (to not ring) when the app starts, it works amazingly with the smart actions feature. Set the actions to auto start the app at the set time and I never have to bother with it. Overall, best alarm, set alarms right ring tones, and the gentle waking, with the alarm slowly getting louder is a must!!

If you need an alarm at all, for any reason, get this app. The functionality is amazing and I use this app at least every other day. The ability to have as many alarms as you'd like is amazing. I can just go in and turn them on with one push. Also, who needs Siri? This app works great with voice commands, tell it any time and the alarm is set, right from the home screen. Another incredibly feature is the math for snooze setting, if you NEED to wake up, this app will do it.

I admit, I really prefer the stock Android alarm, but this comes close. I like the ability to turn off snooze from notification bar but would prefer that I didn't have to go into the app to choose dismiss. Really really wish that alarm apps didn't allow landscape when going off. When I'm struggling with the phone half asleep the last thing I need is for the buttons to be jumping around the screen. Yeah, after trying Tokiko Alarm that is much better.

Love it, especially the math part. If only u could require math to change alarm settings once u hit the done button. I find that I wake up to one, go in and turn the math off all the others, and go back to sleep. The only problems that actually makes u think harder is that the math is wrong, not due to the creator, but the programming language. For example, 34 - 14 + 27 should equal 34 - 41 which equals -7. But it sees it as 20 + 27 which equals 47. Fundamentals of math, please excuse my dear aunt Sally.

a straight forward alarm app with some unexpected extra features that are actually pretty helpful. my only gripe is that when your alarm goes off they put their ads and the dismiss button right on top of each so occasionally when you're sleepy you accidentally hit the ad instead of dismiss and then you get taken to the ad internet page and have to back out of it and reopen the alarm app all the while your alarm is going off and waking up your roommates. but other than that it's great

Great app. You can choose you own alarm tune and with the gentle option it fades in softly waking you up in a very gentle manner. I personally hate alarm clocks that are loud and annoying... the way you wake up can really change your day. You can set a number of alarms a big snooze button .. ;) The only downside is that it doesn't tell you as you set the time in how many minutes are left till the alarm goes off so not very efficient as a timer...
