I've always enjoyed the NASA APODs and it's neat to be able to pull them on my iPhone and even save the pictures in my library. Just some tips, though: reboot your iPhone after installing to prevent it from crashing. Also, when saving pictures, make sure you return to the main screen after saving or it won't actually save to the library. Good app!

I hesitated buying this because I've tried other APOD programs and widgets and didn't use them very much. I'm very glad I decided to buy this one, it's very well designed and has options that none of the others have.

The pictures are beautiful and make for some nice wallpaper!

Great App but could be even better if it would cache the articles. I have an iPod Touch and can only connect to the internet in certain areas. At the moment, the app is COMPLETELY useless unless you are connected to the internet. I hope to see this fix in the next update.

A bit slow but great if you like astronomy

I've been viewing NASA's astronomy picture of the day for years, and was curious to see how someone would create an iPhone app. This app is fantastic. Exactly what it should be. Many things to like a lot, and the programmer has been extremely responsive to input. Highly recommended for space enthusiasts.

This app works perfectly on my first gen iPhone. The user interface is beautiful and functional, and the developer is responsive. I would love to see support for animated APOD images!

I have been going to the Internet and looking at the pictures in order from the very beginning are about half way through. But I went and bought the app so I could look at them easierly, but no. I have to search every date. What a waste of time! Let me acess the date by a turnstile thing and then be able to click next date, then next date. If you do that, I will right a better review.

This has to be the only viewer for those beautiful astronomical images. This tremendously simplifies getting my daily dose of stargazing, ... we'll more like black hole gazing, star cluster gazing,... you get the picture. (pun intented)

This app is great for viewing the APOD buy saves a very low quality picture. I upgraded to this from a free app with no improvement in save quality.

This is a very well put together app. For such a cheap price it could have really been much less; so I am very pleasantly surprised. Not only do you get very nice pictures, but a wealth of information, ease of navigation, favorites, etc. I will definitely be using this a lot; thank you.

Having upgraded to the paid version just a day ago, I was excited to jump in. But this app now crashes every time I start it. That's after restarting my iPhone every time. It's not the database because apod works fine. Not good.

I have used other astronomy apps and this is the best out there. I would suggest adding categories to sort through photos in a later update.

A delight, a fantastic voyage, an education, and a joy for young and old. I recommended this application to all my friends and my young patients too.

Love this app. One thing that would make the app more useful, and the APOD site more popular is the ability to repost the pictures and explanations via networking sites like facebook, twitter or digg etc directly from within the app.

I especially like the ability to search by keyword and save favorites for later.

Very good app that does exactly what it says. I particularly like to save pictures and set as my wallpaper. I also find it a very humbling and grounding experience to view the pictures of the beautiful universe we are but a spec within. Gives me a sense of perspective during my busy commute.

SpaceGeek: NASA News and Multimedia has the same APOD plus all the news and NASA TV so if you are just interested in the picture of the day and not all the other information this would be fine.

As we know nothing is perfect and I would like to see the text for the pictures always start at the top, but the features offered by this app all work well. A previous reviewer of v1.0 noted that there was no way to click on the next date, but that's not an issue anymore. I had a problem with searches not displaying and the developer very diligently worked to resolve the problem, which seems in the end to stem from a faulty install. It is true that this app is the most expensive of the APOD viewers, but highly functional apps ought to be valued more.

A bug that was cutting short some of the long descriptions was fixed with the January 10, 2011 update. I start my day with this very convenient app, although I use the NASA website in my laptop.

One of the apps that I really enjoy on a daily basis! Beautiful and informative! It was already one of my favorites and now it's even better on my iPhone 4 retina display. Love to see apps which are constantly approved!

This app has always been good but this update makes this great. Being able to now view APOD movies and follow web links all within the app is amazing, but being able to save APODs to iBooks really put this version a cut above the rest. And it's so much faster too. A+

This app is well worth it to be able to view the astronomy picture of the day pre-formatted for the iPhone, but the new Push alerts really make this app a must have! Keep the updates coming! Thanks!
