Great to have a free version for those that don't want to spend the price of a coffee. App works really well, is stable and the access to APOD is handled really nicely. Just downloaded the full version as well. Now I can search for and save my favourite APODs, as well as collecting some great images to use for my phone's wallpaper. Brilliant.

APODViewer is great. I got the full version right away after having seen how great even Lite is. This has to be the only viewer that brings such marvellous astro pics to your iPhone.

I liked the app--but since the new update -- it won't work at all.....tried restarting my phone and redownloaded the app several times. Poor show! By the way, the icon you changed to is just ridiculous and stupid....

A must have for anyone who enjoys art. The photos are amazing. Tons of info as well.

This program is as educational as it is visually stimulating. Great fun and like being in an art gallery. Hours of entertainment.

I can recognize a Blender 3D (blender.org) rendering when I see one, especially ones that get listed in the official gallery. I've convienently reported you to the original artist. Enjoy!

The controlls could probably be better, given that some of the descriptions say to click on parts of the image (which wont work on the iPhone/iPod) but overall good. I've been into astronomy for a while now and it's a fun app to have on the go.

Why use an app that is just stealing content from all these great photographers? There's a better app that does exactly what this one does but actually has permission.

Great app and really nice interface to APOD...much easier than using Safari on my iPhone.

Wonderfully done. Ad-free and much better interface with richer info than the other APOD viewer. The only issue I have is the creepy icon. I was going to move this to my home page, but seeing that strange Munch-like face just weirds me out. Deduction 1 star--will give it 5 stars once that's fixed.

I was tempted to upgrade to the paid full version, but a review of it said it had the same problem!! Also wish that there'd be a way of having the photo automatically resize to full screen without having to pinch zoom! You should be able to tap the photo and it would fill the screen.

This is a fav app. You really will miss the beauty of our universe if you don't have it!

This is a fantastic app for helping you keep in touch with the universe! As far as I can tell, it does everything that APOD does but without the annoying ads. I agree with AstroPaul: Get rid of the creepy munchkin! Ugh! (Otherwise, thanks for a great app!)

Very good app, as an amateur astronomer, these tidbits of info are great, and going back in the other APODs is cool also. I like the kid. Thats probably how I looked when I first took a deep look at the sky and knew what those dots are.

This remains my favorite APOD app. Easy zoom of pic, scrollable description. Works on my iPad as well with not much difference.

The other free APOD ap just give image already included in the free NASA ap. Along with other NASA images and video This one actually gives detail image info. Sometimg I wish NASA would too

I love this app and check it all the time. The update is awesome! Thanks to APOD, My iPod is full if wonders. I just rotate in PS Express and I'm done. And the descriptions take you to more detail so you can learn more. But screw the science-- APOD pics are jaw-dropping!

Awesome App!!! I was super impressed with the accuracy. I thought I would end up deleting the app like others in the past, but I actually ended up purchasing the Email & Text message add-ons too!! Worth it.... 100%

In contrary to the promise in the blurb about the recent update, the cropping of images is far worse now, not fixed. If you are curious about a detail toward the edge of a thumbnail, it will likely be lost at full-screen. (iPod touch Gen 2, iOS4.) The icon of the curious boy always made me smile but vanished with the update, an unfortunate loss. Why substitute the blandly informative for the creative? The calendar icon is clear and informative, but does not express the sense of wonder that draws us to this app.

Edit - This latest update is incredible. All for free. Amazing Easily the best of the APOD apps out there. Polished interface, well designed. The developer is very responsive to suggestions and feedback. Well done. I would recommend everyone downloads this now. Also have to mention review by the idiot BubbleDrop - "just stealing content" he says. Well how can you be stealing content and giving it away free? From what I can see this app ensures all copyright notices for images remain intact. And the so called "official app" doesn't do that? Plus that app also makes money by advertising so they're not exactly doing it for altruistic reasons!

I love this app! It's easy to navigate and has amazing facts and pictures of our mysterious outer space... I check it everyday! It's free! Why not?!
