Android 2.2 sacrificed thanks to slow Flash 10.1 browsing speeds (Touch My Apps)

The absence of iPhone Flash support has been a major points of criticism against Apple. To this Steve Jobs has replied many many many times that Flash kills battery life. Flash is also slow and buggy and will kill the iPhone user experience. Well, it seems now they actually have some tests to back up those claims. Fellows over at PocketNow have tested Google’s own Nexus One running the latest 2.2 Android OS with Flash support turned on against the iPhone 3GS and Opera Mobile 10 on an HTC HD2. Bottom line – despite the significantly lower CPU speed, the Jesus phone beats all other browsers hands down when Flash support is enabled. What’s more, simple Flash content such as a side banner is extremely choppy and slow. Personally I never understood the necessity of Flash on mobile at all – I had enough problems navigating Flash-powered sites even on the desktop

Antrepo Design have a great-looking and surely whuffie-inflating headset design for the wannabe med. In layman’s terms, it is a stethoscope headset, but its medical name is the Stetheadphone. Anyone else think this thing would look rad with their iPod touch/iPhone? iWant one. Bad. The “I’m not product series” is continuing, The last one is “Stetheadphone”, created by Antrepo Design Industry. It is headset with remote and mic, you can make and receive calls, access voice-control features, and listen to and manage playback from your iPhone or iPod. Material used is ultra light and flexible plastic for your comfort Also three sizes of soft silicone ear tips help you tailor a fit that’s right for you. The color options are white, black, pink, blue or green. We are now in a research process to find a partner company for the production process.
The Twiggles in Review – Melting Your Hardened Gamers’ Heart (Touch My Apps)

When I was requested to review The Twiggles, the sight of the hapless, furry blue creatures needing help to find their way home instantly warmed my heart. Touted to be the closest iPhone counterpart to early PC classic Lemmings, Twiggles is a puzzle-based platformer that pits both your logic and creativity against a variety of tricky and sticky situations. Feel free to discuss The Twiggles in our forums. Using the available objects at your disposal, you can bounce them on trampolines, help them clamber up ladders, blow up obstacles, dig tunnels – basically make sure they don’t fall into the empty spaces between them and their exit door. You have to safely transport a certain number of Twiggles to successfully complete the level. While each level overflows with Twiggles at the onset, you will find it more and more difficult to hang onto the Twiggles who are merrily falling into oblivion.
