Touching anywhere on the screen will perform one of several actions such as play, pause, next track or previous track. It is a very simple application that may actually make playing your iPod in the car safer. Your music automatically begins playing when you open the application. The album artwork takes up most of the screen, while the artist name, song and album titles are listed at the top. Oggi invece, la Symbian Foundation ha reso il Open Source l’intero sistema operativo Symbian, sul quale si basa la maggior parte dei modelli Nokia. Questa mossa mira ad attirare nuovi sviluppatori, a facilitare lo sviluppo di sofware e dispositivi vasati su questo sistema operativo e sopratutto per contrastare l’iPhone OS e l’Android che restano molto più “chiusi”. Il futuro è l’Open Source, sostengono gli analisti ed in questa nuova decisione della Symbian Foundation, sicuramente c’è anche una grossa influenza da parte di Nokia che già da un po’ di tempo sta disegnando una nuova interfaccia grafica per i cellulari touchscreen basati sul Symbian OS. Tutti gli sviluppatori da oggi hanno accesso al codice del sistema che potrà essere scaricato da questo indirizzo.
