If you've been lusting after the Navigon apps for your iPhone, the company has just released lower-priced regional versions that divide the country into three sections and let you add other parts of the U.S. with an in-app purchase. You can now buy Western states, Central U.S. or Eastern states as standalone regions. The single region version is US$24.99 until April 12, when the price goes up to $29.99. If you buy one region, you can add another region for $12.99 each. These new versions contain all the features of the Navigon U.S. and Canada version. All versions include the new MyRoutes feature. Navigon MyRoutes learns from the user's driving style to provide customized and better route recommendations. The feature also offers up to two alternative routes clearly displayed on a map including ETA, distance and driving time. This lets users choose the route that best serves their individual situation.
Navigon MobileNavigator Gets More Affordable With Regional Maps (Apple iPhone Apps)

With the warm weather months just a few months away, navigating to your favorite vacation destination just got a little more affordable thanks to the arrival of the new MyRegion from Navigon. With the release of Navigon MyRegion, GPS mapping is now available in three separate geographic regions and will be sold for an introductory sale price of $24.99 each. The regions available are West, Central and East. The sale price will be available until April 12th, at which time the app will go up to its regular price of $29.99. Additionally, Navigon will make any of the other two regions available for an in app purchase price of $12.99 if you decide you need them later on after your initial single region purchase. The regional pricing and the initial discounts makes for a great bargain given the entire North America MobileNavigator app is $79.99. Like the North America MobileNavigator, the

By Rene Ritchie, Thursday, Mar 18, 2010 | NAVIGON’s new MyRegion is a customizable version of their turn-by-turn MobileNavigator app for iPhone that basically lets you buy just the navigation you need, when you need it, and expand via in-app purchase later. Three “regions” are available in the US — Western [iTunes link], Central [iTunes link], and Eastern [iTunes link]. Each region is currently on sale for $24.99 until April 12, at which point they’ll be regularly priced at $29.99. Getting an additional region via in-app purchase will cost $12.99 on sale ($14.99 regularly). What’s included? NAVIGON MyRegion includes all the features and capabilities as MobileNavigator 1.4 plus NAVIGON MyRoutes. This new feature will be added to MobileNavigator North America via an upcoming update to 1.5.0 due this spring. NAVIGON MyRoutes is an industry first feature that learns from the users driving style to provide customized and better route recommendations. The

If you were about to buy one of the MyRegions Navigon GPS apps for the iPhone, don't press that 'buy' button just yet. In honor of WWDC, Navigon will make the normally U.S. $29.99 version just $14.99 from June 1 through June 11. That's a big savings on one of the premier nav apps. The MyRegions versions cover the Western, Central and Eastern U.S., so if you are going to buy, make sure you get the correct version. All versions include functions such as Reality View Pro, Google Local Search, Lane Assistant Pro, Enhanced Pedestrian Mode, NAVIGON MyRoutes and much more. Of course you get text to speech, and either a flat or perspective view of your route. All these features are described in detail at the links above for each version. In addition, you can add other regions of the country with an in-app purchase. During the sale, additonal regions

By Rene Ritchie, Tuesday, Jun 1, 2010 | NAVIGON is getting ready to celebrate WWDC 2010 (and no doubt the background GPS API in iPhone OS 4!) with sale of their MyRegion app. Whether you’re off to San Francisco for WWDC itself or just touring the bay area for fun and frolic, you can grab MyRegion for half off — $14.99 from June 1-11, 2010, with additional maps for sale for $9.99. MyRegion gives you the power of choice by letting you pick the map region/regions you need but still includes the features known from the award winning North American version, MobileNavigator. It is the first iPhone navigation app that lets users upgrade to additional regions within the app and on the go, providing cross country navigation by choice. The total U.S. map is downloaded upon purchase of the first “MyRegion,” which allows activation of additional map regions via a seamless

The last time we took a look at Navigon’s MobileNavigator was back in December at version 1.4. Navigon released version 1.6 for the iPhone about a month ago, and if you haven’t heard the news, MobileNavigator turned one on August 12 and Navigon is having one heck of a sale to celebrate. So, let’s get caught up with what’s new in MobileNavigator. Version 1.5 Connection to Facebook and Twitter Panorama View 3-D Navigon MyRoutes Version 1.6: Weather Live “Clever Parking” Improved Destination Information Display Pedestrian Voice Guidance iPhone 4 Retina Display Enhancements Enhanced Reality View Pro and Street Name Text Latest NAVTEQ Maps iOS4 Background Support Ok, so Navigon has been pretty busy in the last 6 months.
Save 50 percent on MobileNavigator GPS apps (CNET iPhone Atlas)

Navigon's MobileNavigator packs more features than just about any other GPS app--and it's on sale for half off. Standalone GPS navigators are pretty cheap these days, but when it comes to getting the most bang for the buck, it's hard to beat an app-equipped iPhone. One of the most popular navigation apps for the iPhone, Navigon's MobileNavigator North America, normally sells for $79.99, but in honor of the company's first-year App Store anniversary, it's on sale for $39.99. This half-off sale, which is good through Sunday, August 15, also extends to MobileNavigator USA (now $24.99); MobileNavigator Canada ($24.99); and MyRegion East, Central, and West ($14.99 each, down from $29.99). Navigon has discounted its prices for in-app purchases as well. Traffic Live, normally $24.99, is on sale for $12.99, while Panorama View 3D, which shows a more topographical view of your surroundings--and looks really cool--is now just $4.99. All versions of MobileNavigator

Navigon 2.0 for iPhone offers new name, download options (TUAW - The Unofficial Apple Weblog)

Updated to include force-quit fix for missing favorites. If you're already a Navigon GPS app owner you'll find a significant free update at the app store today. If you haven't chosen a GPS navigation solution yet, Navigon has given you good reason to check the product out. Navigon 2.0 is a complete rethink of the app, with new GUI elements, and the ability to selectively download just the states you want maps for. Never get to the West coast? Save space by not putting those maps on your iPhone at all. Users of the North America and USA versions in particular will benefit, so map storage can be measured in megabytes rather than gigabytes. Even owners of the regional versions can save a lot of storage space. The result is a lot of extra room on your iPhone or iPad for music, movies, or apps. Even better for fence sitters, Navigon

NAVIGON launched the second generation of its iPhone navigation app, which “completely redefines core elements of iPhone navigation,” including a new map management function and an in app purchase option for quarterly map updates. As a result, users will be able to choose which map regions to download to their device, thus saving some storage space of their iPhone. Moreover, separating the app and maps also simplifies future updates, as users can update the app (about 40MB) without reinstalling the maps multiple times. For instance, users who own the USA version can pick the states they want immediately and download additional regions at a later time. NAVIGON 2.0 is also the first iPhone navigation app to offer quarterly map updates. The FreshMaps service uses map and POI database from NAVTEQ to ensure the most accurate data possible. In addition, this release of NAVIGON also comes with some UI improvements. It is
