NetNewsWire for OS X and iPhone Officially Released (TheAppleBlog)

NewsGator released todayNetNewsWire 3.2 for OS X. At the end of July, NewsGator announced the ending of its news feed subscription service and released a beta version of NetNewsWire 3.2 with Google Reader synchronization. The way NewsGator handled the ending of its service and migration to Google Reader left a lot to be desired. After sending out an email advising people to immediately switch to the beta, it received many complaints due to the numerous bugs and the large embedded ad in the bottom left of the window. The ad was removed for remaining betas — until today, when it was brought back at half the previous size. To remove the ad you must purchase a license for $10. I’m not sure if this is a special introductory price or not, but for me $10 is a great deal and buying a license was a no-brainer. As well as many bug fixes

By Rene Ritchie, Friday, Sep 25, 2009 | NetNewsWire [Free with ads - iTunes link] and NetNewsWire Premium [$1.99 - iTunes link] for iPhone, the mobile version of NetNewsWire for Mac and FeedDemon for Windows, have just hit 2.0 and brings a lot of compelling features to the table — especially for RSS geeks: It’s enough that I’m finally going to go all in on Google Reader and NNW 2.0 (at least for the next week — we’ll see if it sticks). Screens after the break. If you give NetNewsWire 2.0 a go as well, let us know what you think.

By Staff, Monday, Nov 30, 2009 | Every week a few of us from team TiPb, bloggers and forum crew alike, will bring you our current favorite, funnest, most useful App Store apps, WebApps, jailbreak apps, even the occasional accessory, web site, or desktop app if the mood strikes us. As long as they’re iPhone (or iPod touch) related, they’re fair game. So who’s on deck this week and what are our picks? Find out after the break! This week I am picking Q Entertainment’s Lumines. This game came out a little while ago with poor fanfare due to the horrible controls. Good news? There is now and update that fixes these issues and this game is now a pleasure to play. You even have in-app purchasing for additional theme packs. The music is not as good as the original IMO, but still fun!! [$2.99 - iTunes link] BitFlip is a

iPhone RSS apps have come a long way in recent months “ there are now some very strong choices available if you need a good RSS reader that syncs with Google Reader There used to be little or no choice when looking for a good iPhone RSS reader application, if you were a user who needed sync with Google Reader. For a long time, the Google Reader web app was head and shoulders above the rest in this area. I ‘ve kept up with a number of native iPhone RSS apps over recent months though, and I ‘m happy to say that by now there are a lot of good options out there “ even if you require full two-way sync with GReader. So I thought this might be a good time to give a brief rundown of 6 good iPhone RSS apps that provide full sync with GReader.
