Eelios launches WxFix, location-based weather app for the iPhone/iPod Touch (IntoMobile)

Eelios has released WxFix, the new location-based personal weather solution for the Apple iPhone and iPod Touch, though I’m not sure how that “location-based” part fits with the iTouch. It’s a weather information app, so there’s not much to say about it. At least, I’m out of words – hence, here’s an excerpt from the press release: WxFix gives users a precise forecast for the exact locations they want, conforming to their daily activities and plans. Unlike existing weather applications that locate the user in a generalized area, such as a city or zip code, and then provide weather for a different location, such as a school or airport weather station, WxFix provides a forecast at the exact location the user requests, whether it’s at home, on the golf course, at the beach or even a mountaintop. Only WxFix gives users a personalized weather “pin” to simply drop and point anywhere
