Yves gaat binnenkort op vakantie en zocht een babyfoon-applicatie voor de iPhone. Handig: terwijl Yves beneden op het terras van het hotel zit kan hij luisteren of de baby in de hotelkamer rustig slaapt. Maar met de komst van OS 3.0 blijkt geen enkele babyfoon-applicatie meer te werken. Neem bijvoorbeeld Baby Monitor: bij deze applicatie leg je je iPhone in de buurt van de slapende baby. Als het programma geluid detecteert belt het een nummer, zodat jij kunt meeluisteren naar de activiteiten van je baby. My wife and I had to do some yardwork outside and the baby monitor didn't go that far. So I decided to buy this app and once the baby started making noises my wife got the call and took care of him. Great app. My only suggestion would to have the option for the iphone to go into speaker phone mode so that if need be the user of the other phone could talk to the child.

I like this idea, but I cannot get the app to work correctly! Can't set the phone number to my contact called "Home". Is this becuase there is only one number in the contact? Maybe because there isn't a "First Name" in the contact called "Home"? Maybe because "Home" is set as one of my favorites? I don't know, but it crashes every time.

the biggest problem with this app, and the reason i probably wouldn't recommend it to many of my friends who are mom's is that you have to start the monitoring right away. most of us put our babies down awake and let them put themselves to sleep, especially older babies, so if they are making noise before they go to sleep the monitor is calling the number you set up. The #1 thing they could do to this app is to make it so you could start monitoring after a certain number of minutes that you choose, i.e. start monitoring in 10 minutes, if that is the amount of time it usually takes for your baby to fall asleep, etc.

This does not work with 3.0 yet, though it appears from the author's description that instead of calling you an SMS message will be sent. This takes away from the original intention of the app - call when baby wakes (a lot more noticable than a text chime), and listen to your baby, you know, like a monitor. There isn't much the author can do for now, since Apple is the one who rewrote the OS. A few changes though: - Allow users to change background image with personal photo. - Allow a longer time for monitoring to start - 5, 10, & 15 minutes should cover it. - Add an info button with a link to developer's website for FAQs or a support forum. Will update rating and review when new version is released.

I plan on complaining to Apple. I would like my money back. I have only been able to use this on 2 occastions, and it was great during those times. Now I update to the current OS and my $5 app won't work. I don't blame the company who puts this app out and they shouldn't have to give that money back. But Apple MUST re-emburse this money for knowing full well that some apps would not work due to this new policy.

I am angry about this app. I used it for months and then updated my phone to v3.0. The app no longer works. I think it is very irresponsible for the makers of this app not to have sent out an update or message that it no longer works. Considering what this application is used for, a baby could easily end up dead. Is that what it will take for an update, or at the bare minimum, a message or recall that this application is no longer functional!!!

App looks great and functions perfectly except for the last step: when it detects baby noise and begins to make the call, you are given a prompt to confirm the call. Obviously, since you aren't there, you can't confirm it and the call doesn't get made. Could be a new firmware issue but regardless, it's a fail.

HORRIBLE!!!!! I had used this app for months while traveling. It always worked perfectly until the upgrade. I set it up and left my sleeping child in a room where I could not hear her. I went to go check on her and she was SCREAMING and had been for who knows how long. It is utterly incredulous that apple did not alert parents that this app no longer works. They could easily have a lawsuit on their hands. I am demanding more than just my money back.

My husband and I both purchased this application and now feel that we wasted our money due to the 3.0 update. Had I known it would lose functionality; I would not have updated my phone. The text is fine, but the point of a monitor is to HEAR what is going on. I think that refunds are in order. And I also agree that apple should have notified users of the app.

Everyone else has said it already, but I wish I hadn't updated my phone because now it only sends a text message to alert you if it detects noise, not very helpful, especially when your husband's phone doesn't have SMS capability. PLEASE FIX THE GLITCH.
