Totally misleading. Receiver has to go to website to pick up contact details. Defeats the object. Save your money.

This version is leaps ahead of the free version. Just 2 days in and and the new features are being put to good use. I was out last night walking down the street and ran into an old friend of mine. Neither of us had a pen but I was able to beam him my contact info via SMS to his cellphone and he received immediately. He then asked about a buddy of ours, and I was able to send him my friend's vCard with just a few taps. So now my buddy has 2 new vCards, I have his cellphone number right from the beamME Pro history tab into my address book, and a google map of where exactly we ran into each other. All that in less than 1 minute. This app rocks!

As a very happy user of beamMe, I'm even more excited about beamMe pro!

First I want to say the new beamME pro is fantastic. I used the original before, but this gives me and my organization os much more power to be seen and heard. I run a non-profit for adults and kids with diabetes. I contacted Gage Zichermann CEO and asked him to donate the pro version to our organization. I did not think it would happen. Next morning, surprise! I was excited to receive an e-mail directly from Gabe letting me know he would love to donate to our cause and organization. I also received an e-mail from Katie Russ Community Manager following up to make sure I had the code to download our pro version. I have had the pro version for about 24 hours and already it has made my life easier being able to beam multiple cards for purposes relating to our organization at different levels. All I can say is FANTASTIC App, Thank You Gabe and the rest of beamME pro and keep up the great work. There should be more companies like this helping non-profit organization with there apps. Thanks again Gabe and Katie.

beamME pro does everything it promises to do. I really like the design, and it makes it so easy to send everyone my contact information. I especially like how I can have one card for my business, and one for my own personal use. The app also makes it easy to find the separate cards and send them out. No more business cards for me!

I ran out of business cards just in time for 2 networking events and a conference. BeamME was a lifesaver, instead of being embarrassed as the guy who forgot his business cards, I just entered the email address for each person I met directly into BeamME.  Now somehow I keep forgetting to pick up more business cards and it's no big deal.  I introduce myself to everyone but never remember who's who so it's really helpful to see the list of who I met, and where I met them automatically on the map.  I also can keep a separate card for business and professional purposes, that's really important.

Beam Me is still the best for e business cards. Its professional, well designed and runs great. Not sure if I will make use of the maps thing too often, but it looks cool and can't hurt. I suppose it's supposed to help you remember people based on where you met. Also, the beam me team are real, nice people. They respond quickly and seem to update their software a lot.

Have been a beamme user (free) for quite a while now, and this upgrade is an obvious improvement. The send any card and history were a great addition to the free version, and the maps of contacts is just awesome. This is the app that might just get me to ditch those paper cards.

Great app and intuitive design! I always forget my b-cards and this is the greener way to go anyway! Kudos!

I never, ever seem to carry businesscards. Least of all when I need them. I mean, I actually marvel that the business card still exists today! What is it with people exchanging cards?? It's ridiculous. This is the perfect app. I just beam people my info, to their email, phone, whatever. It's phone and platform independent. Sends you all my relevant info (social networks, etc.), and now I get a history and personal notes. Really, one of the few apps I use on a regular basis. For the price, and for the lack of business cards, it's worth it.

I've been using the free version for a few months, but I love being able to see the location and history of the cards that I beamed.

This app is a good idea but not everyone has a multimedia phone. In order for anyone to get your info they have to access a link in a text message. It's a joke. I'm self employed and tried it and ITS A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.

I bought it thinking that it I can finally forward my contact directly to peoples' cell phones, but instead the receiving party gets a LINK to go to a WEBSITE to retrieve the info. This is far from convenient! Just wasted good money on this download which I don't see myself using for more than ONCE (n that was for testing purpose).  

This application does not accomplish the key features advertised. It does not SMS vcard information. The application sends a link to the party to sign in and register to download a file. I am not interested in this. More than 75% of the time it does not work with iPhone parties, and the rest of the time it looks like spam. Horrible features and an ourageous prices mean this is the worst thing I have ever purchased on iTunes.

- The vcards that get sent for you to download from their website (SMS) or get emailed to you (email) do not have the photo of the person that is in your iPhone. Other apps send that, this one doesn't. - Also, you can't purge history. - your short message is not sent via SMS. It only shows up on their webpage. - the option to email the vcard is only for iPhones. Older blackberries can't email the vcard from their webpage OR download from link (because of java). Also, I'd like to be able to send vcards to more than one person at a time and/or send a vcard to a persons email & SMS at once.

With iphone update 3.0 comingsoon. This app is a must have!!!

I'm thrilled by the expanded feature set and couldn't be happier with the service. I was an avid user of the standard beamME application, and this "pro" release gave me all the extras I wanted inexpensively. It's very professional and works well with what I need to manage and distribute contact information in my work and personal life. Thumbs up!

Don't buy this app. Totaly missleading.

Plus there is better version online at mydropcard.com that has a one touch iPhone interface.

Nothing in the description says that the receiver is to go to a website to obtain the vcard. Oh and they have to register too!

I noticed this app in the "New and Noteworthy" section of iTunes last week and thought *great idea!*. I bought the app after reading all the reviews. Now, it's not perfect (I've yet to find the perfect app), but it's clearly a useful and very professional effort. I was iffy about the price, but you can't beat a refund guarantee if you don't like it. I use it a lot. I'm not sure I understand what some of the other reviewers are complaining about, cause I've found this app does exactly what it says, and more than I can get elsewhere. Maybe iPhone 3.0 will fix their issues?

Scraps of paper vs organized smart phones, guess which professionals would rather have? I'm a marketing rep in consumer technology. My customers are tech savvy, and they have all been impressed with the ease at which my info gets to their contact list; a few are actually looking at the iPhone based on this app. Even the least techy among them had no problem finding my phone number when a problem came up a week later. And it's just as easy to add them to my address book, either as a new contact or adding info to an existing one. It's a front page app you'll use every day at work.

Great app. I which I found this before now. Hopefully with system 3.0 we will be able to copy/paste email addresses in instead of typing them in.

The 5 Star reviews must be from company employees or not really the "professionals" they claim to be. This App absolutely does *not* do everything it claims to do. Customer service is friendly and responsive, they admit to some shortcommings and issues anf they claim they are working on them. They were happy to take info about problems and servers which report the contact info as junk. Unfortunately the only response which came from my efforts of trying to work with them was along the lines of: "We are sorry you are having problems, we are aware of some of these issues and are continuing to look into it." I purchased the App about 3 weeks ago, I was encouraged by the response and had hoped an update would be released, but so far nothing in sight. If they release an update and improve the program, I will improve my rating. Until then, I can in no way recommend this App for professional use. Professionals do want contact info going straight to junk mail or being blocked by spam filters. Professionals do not want SMS text messages sent which require the user to follow a link and register. Professionls want something that is simple for both the sender and receiver. Something simple, efficient, and just works. The 1 & 2 star reviews are by far more accurate and honest than the 5's from my experience.

I rated this app 4 stars because of the inability to delete all or part of the history. At some point, history is going to become large and many of the entries will no longer have any importance. I also had trouble sending to phone numbers. My contact list uses dashes in the phone numbers. Once I removed the dashes and entered 10 straight numbers for the receiving phone number, my card was send successfully. I would like to see the ability to delete some or part of the history, as well as the ability for the app to accept any format from the Apple address book.

This is an awesome app and sorely needed iPhone function.

This app has made life a lot easier for me at meetings, conferences, etc. The design, features (maps are cool) and support seem really good. Even though I don't buy a lot of apps, I think the price is fair too, considering how much you get.

I really like how all I have to do is enter someone's number or email and click on a button to send them my contact info. Also it's far easier to send someone else's contact info through this App than any other I've tried. And definitely easier than trying to remember an email or number and then text or email that info from Mail or SMS. Super awesome app!

beamME pro let's me immediately contact people I meet. Using the program has increased the number of people I contact and communicate with regularly. I highly recommend beamME pro for young professionals that like technology and believe in networking.

Not a bad program, but you should visit the Web site. It allows you to send one main address card to another person only after signing up. Info then passes through their servers and then out to your contact via SMS or Email. The other user doesn't have to sign up for anything, but what are they doing with the database? Company is very responsive and seems positively legit, but you have to wonder if your data is future proof. More importantly, it's a subscription service. You pay $1.99 and then you have to pay a continuous monthly fee afterward to maintain product use. No where does it explicitly include this information. Not on the iTunes description and not on the Web site. This feature renders the app useless to me. Who is willing to pay $2/month to send apps? They should charge for high usage customers only a monthly fee. Everyone else should get xx free sends per month or something. Try the free version and be prepared to only send a biz card and not personal contact info. Free version limits you to sending one card only -- yours.

It's bad enough that the service is subscription based. For those of us who still are interested in being held captive to a subscription, the app fails to provide that: Unable to fetch subscription upgrade options. A catch 22 in that it's crippled without the subscription and you can't get it!!

This app should be the standard $4.99. That price gets you 1 month of usage. I will give this app a better review when they get rid of the subscription and let you buy the app.
