Blow Up, a challenging physics puzzler for your Android phone, isn't particularly impressive in any one way, but it's a well-put-together game that many will enjoy playing. The point of Blow Up is to demolish buildings, one at a time, by strategically placing bundles of dynamite at various key points on the structure. To clear the level, though, no rubble can stick out above a pre-set goal line. Bonus points are awarded if your stuffed panda bear, which hangs out on the beams near the top of your structure, should run into a star as the building collapses. This game forces you to think ahead, and will sometimes require you to fiddle with the timers on the explosives, which can be set to go off after some delay. I don’t really use my Android for gaming; I have a Nintendo DS that fits into the front pocket of my bag quite nicely. However, every once in awhile I like to pull out an app on my phone that I can use to occupy a few minutes, or show off what my Droid is capable of. Every once and awhile you just feel like blowing some stuff up. I stumbled across the appropriately-named “Blow Up” using Appaware, and decided to give it a try. I’ve got the Lite version on my phone at the moment, and the limitations of that version are limited to levels (10 in the lite version) and ads; it doesn’t curtail any major features (-cough- Robot Defense), which earns a couple points in my book. Best game for Android! Can be a difficult selecting bombs & occasionally freezes but I think that's due to G1 hardware limits. Using Cyanogenmod 6

Very enjoyable! A few of the levels have a "glitch" that doesnt allow enough time for building to fall before "failed" shows up on the screne. Once that is fixed, another star can be added. Nice app.!

This game has the appearance of a game developed by a single person with no experience at all. The panda moves in a random manner that changes every time you terry, and if you fail once, try again, the fall isn't the same twice with nothing changed.

The Panda tends to flop at random, so I find myself restarting levels over and over just to get him to flop where he needs to be or blow up mid flop just to hit the star. Snap too area needs to be a little better/bigger too since sometimes when I let up it puts the dynamite back in the tray instead of placing it. Physics are pretty good although the pieces tend to stick together too much when they should fall over (a little random like the panda too, but dynamite isn't exactly precise, so I'll let that one go). Doesn't make good use of standard Android buttons either where required- have to use menu button to quit to title screen and exit or it stays running. Fix this and you have a wonderful little app.

I set my bombs on levels 19 and 20. Blow them up, and says I failed even before the building and panda falls. Some times, it fails even after it shows the green line that I have passed the level. Took me over ten times to pass level 19. I'm still stuck on 20. Glad I only paid ten cents. Htc Inspire 4G.

Overall a fun game, can get a bit repetitive at times. Events are a bit random, so solving a level sometimes comes down to just replaying the exact same solution a bunch of times until it works.

Maybe it's just my phone, but, the game has a massive problem with detecting that I want to place a bomb! It just doesn't detect my finger on the bomb at all most of the time. Occasionally if I press to the left of the dynamite sticks and drag then it works, but most of the time it's just frustrating. A potentially fun little game which is let down by the UI.
