I'm having a slight identity crisis today. I've just realized that I have seen and enjoyed 13(!!) seasons of Top Gear... This frightening, if not fact poses the question: "Why?" Why do I like it so much that I have seen 13 seasons of this petrol-head show? Why did I see two seasons of that wine tasting show even though I care about as preposterously little about fancy-pants wines as I do about the different types of trees they might have in Finland? Behold! James May off of Top Gear was in that wine tasting program, being dry-humoured and weird and I absolutely loved it! Why? Are James May, Richard Hammond and Jeremy Clarkson hypnotizing me with some kind of Bugatti Veyron, "We-hate-the-Prius-because-it's-a-big-fat-fake-that-causes-just-as-much-pollution-as-a-supercar" ? I read weird books about memory/thought-eating sharks made of letters and words; and books about films that never existed about houses with expanding and retracting hallways that Read More

First off, a wonderful dark and funny story from Nick Cave. Second, this is how audiobooks should be on iTunes! You have so much going on here: the complete text of the book, a brilliantly produced audio version, video, news items. If only it also could sync with my Kindle - that would be even more amazing. One of the coolest apps you're gonna find.

An excellent story that comes with a whole lot of bells and whistles. Personaly, I do find that the price is a nbit steep & I'm a tad bothered by just how much space this rather large app takes up,.. But those details aside, the product itself is excellent. Excellent story, awesome reading of the story,.. If I could change anything it'd be for the app to be accessable via iPod audiobooks on the iPhone. But that might not be a possible request.. Anways, I hope that more unique stories get released in this fashion and I hope that future similar releases get a price drop.
great app

I think the price is ok. Just look up what the audio book alone costs on iTunes. Plus you get decent sound here, not the mediocre sound quality of those audible.com audio books. The app can be a bit sluggish at times on my iPhone 2G, but I guess it works fine on the faster iPhone / iPod models. Also I read / listened to the whole book without a single crash. :)

The app itself is amazing. That fact that they have the full book and audio book is awesome. The way you can change everything is great. I would give the app 5/5. As far as the story I was not crazy about it. I guess it was really not my kind of story. I would give the story 2/5. I have yet to listen to the book but I don't know if that really will make me like it anymore. (***Warning possible spoiler to follow***). The book tells the story of a salesman who's wife passes away and his drunken/sexually perverted escapades before and after his wides death. He drags his young innocent song along until it all abruptly ends.
New way to enjoy books

First off, I have not completed reading this book yet but so far, it's one of the best I have read in a while. I often have trouble getting into books but this one had me pulled in quickly.

The book itself is fantastic, but the integration of the theme music, the narration/audio book, cool extras like Nick Cave "performing" the book, and really useful features including the ability to email quotes from within the text of the book, sophisticated synched bookmarking, and an up to date newsfeed make this the new (and hard to beat) standard for the book as app. I'm really blown away. Well worth the price of admission. And, I'm really looking forward to future offerings from Enhanced Editions.

Enhanced Editions have created the coolest Audio Book Experience ever! Sleek/Fun iPhone App Design! The composed music & videos make it a great way to read this wonderful book. And come on, Nick Cave is such a talented artist. This is a great book! EPIC!
Good Audiobook... Even Better e-book

I started reading e-books on my palm pilot back in the day... and have been sorely disappointed with the current crop of readers for the IPhone. Kindle and Ereader only allow you to flip pages sideways, so I really appreciate scrolling through "Bunny Munro."
