Great app! Easy to use - anti shake is wonderful! Voice snap and screen snap work flawlessly. I've been waiting for this.

With this app i don't take blurry photos any more, and being able to just say cheese and it takes a photos makes it finally easy to take a photo of myself with a friend without about to drop my phone. I can say enough about it, I just wish i had this app when i first got my iphone and I would of taken a million more photos..

Photos don't always move over to the library. The action is slower than the standard camera. There are some good features on this app but few if any of the discription matches the actual apps actual performance. Wait for a better version.

This camera is not any better than the iphone camera. It is slower and the controls are often non-responsive. Stick with the iPhone camera and don't waste two dollars on this!

I this was a free app it might be a 3 star. Great idea for the features but they dont work. The anti shake will not take a pic while its on. After u take a pic it takes about ten seconds before it gets back to take another one. Big button is cool and really thr only reason i got this app. Sometimes it fails to send the pics u took to my pics. So there just gone like i didnt eventake them. Like i said cool features just get them to working and ull have a 5 star app.

This app looks cool and sounds great. But don't be fooled by it's looks. This app freezes, crashes and even had me hard reset my iphone. Waste of time And money. The only good thing i got out of my 2.99 was writing this review! So please listen to others and do not buy this!

Version 1.3 definitely seems stable, I've had no problems with any crashes so far, and it actually seems to launch a bit faster than Apple's camera app! It adds quite a bit of new functionality to the camera: a timer (finally!), anti-shake, gridlines, using the full screen as a camera button... And the sound-activated camera is a really clever idea. Overall, a nice improvement on the iPhone's camera app.

Nice feature set, if it worked. Very buggy, crashes frequently, photos it does take are not always saved.

I actually really like this application, but right now, every time I take a picture it crashes! Also, the pictures for some reason only end up in my Photo gallery about half the time. The pictures that I do end up getting in my gallery look MUCH better than the iPhone camera, so once the program is updated to not crash, I will gladly change my review and elaborate about what makes this program great.

Nice Idea to Make Easier Pictures. It's Great That U Can Say Cheese and It Will Take the Pic. I Don't Understand the Squares. It Would Be Cool If U Can Zoom In and Out. The Only Problem That I Found Is That It Takes too Long to Save. If U Like Taking a Lot of Pictures of Ur Self In Photos With Ur Friends I Would Buy It. Still Needs a Few Adjustments.

Don't buy this app. i'm serious. The original Camera is much better than this one. This app take so long to save and anti-shake will not take picture until your hand is 100% stay still. The quality isn't better. So I recommend you use the iPhone's original camera or another photograph apps. Thanks for reading.

crashes requiring reset three times in first few hours

Let's face it, Apple products kick butt, but their peripherals always blow, from mice to iPhone cameras. This little app is worth the price, especially for people like me who are holding off jbreaking their phone until 3.0 comes out and we see what new apps become available. Quick review--

In my opinion this app is very stable and very practical and easy to use too... The antishaking feature is my favorite specially with the iPhone camera that shakes by itself.... Very reliable, stable, and performance... :)

Takes better pictures than the built in app, but its very buggy, you cant take multiple pictures quickly without it freezing up. And if you dont want your phone to reset like the other guys when it freezes up click the lock button and then hold down the home button.

Locked my phone fierce. Had to do a hard reboot. It is slow, has no interface for previous pictures. What a joke. I think apple should do a better job of screening these apps. I want my money back.

I can't even get the app to run for 2 seconds much less take a photo.

I wish I could give this lame app no stars. What a total rip off. Nothing works, freezes phone, icon for pic is saved but pic is mysteriously non-existant. Takes forever to even attempt to save, crashed phone when it doesn't just lock it up. Get a clue guys, pull this stinker. I want my money back. Anyone who gave this app any type of positive review did not attempt to use it.

I bought this for Big Button. The ability to quickly shoot photos by touching screen anywhere. It doesn't save your photos. They're lost for good. Sure, it clicks and creates a freeze frame. Then it spins. And spins, and spins. You must wait several seconds to take next shot. But worse. It has only saved abut 25% of the photos I've shot. Nothing in camera roll. Nothing in any album. It's useless. I'm so sad I missed some great photos. Boo to you Genius!

This was my favorite app. Now it is a useless piece of s*** after 3.0 firmware installation. Half a dozen emails regarding a fix unanswered. Terrible. I'm buying Pro Camera and demanding a refund! Quick review-- Guides - simple, clean grids. Big Button - tap the screen anywhere to take a pic. Sound Capture - An impromptu sneeze or fart could set it off, but it works and it could have its uses. Timer - choose 2, 5, 10, 15 or 30 second delay. Simple. Better than most other timer apps out there. Anti-Shake - worth the price of the app for anyone frustrated by tap-blurred pictures. Pics are saved to your camera roll. There is a nice red icon that shows the current pic count (of photos taken in Camera Genius). There is also an arrow icon that lets you view the last picture taken (to see all of them you have to go to the camera roll). It is a little slow to save the pics to the camera roll, but so far that is my only complaint. A great app? No. But for the price it is very good I recommend it.

My 3gs camera runs circles around this. If you want a zoom which zooms but not focus. Or an anti shake that takes 10 seconds to snap a picture. Maybe some 5 year olds reviewed this first. If I can stop one person from buying this app I will have justice from the dollar which I spent.

Ok I use my camera a lot. And until now there was only one app that did zoom and that was Camera Zoom. The problem with that app was you didn't see the result of the pic you zoomed on until after taking it, it would blure the picture so much and one movement it would ruin. But with this app WOW, real zoom, works like any other zoom on any other camera phone. I don't know why apple is taking so long to approve these camera 3.0 updates, but I was using ProCamera, they promised digital zoom with their update and that was 2 months ago, come on apple. Hopefully when that update comes out it will be as good as this or better.

I love this camera app. It makes it super easy to snap pictures of the wiggly kids with anti shake and sound capture. I take more pictures of the family now. And it works great with my iphone 3.

Let's face it, the Apple camera app is horrible! Camera Genius does what the Apple Camera app should. Works as advertised! This application is going on my home screen to replace the Apple Camera app!

ok I been giving this app a real test for the past few days tryin to use it to replace the standard app and it doesn't cut it.. at all. zoom feature makes everything distorted. preview is just useless. I actually have to exit the app and open the pictures app to delete a pic. it doesn't use the touch to focus which i have no clue why it wouldn't.. the big button doesn't always work.. Even the settings don't stay after you exit the program.. I turned off big button and it keeps coming back on. Antishake? does this actually do anything cuz i dont see any difference. its def not a sony steady shot lol.. at least it's only .99 but what a let down. I read some good reviews and got conned. I'm seriously not trying to be a stickler it really just doesn't provide any type of advantage over the regular app only frusteration and dissapointment. my recommendation is use the regular camera app and maybe apple will throw an update that let's you zoom and have an easier way to take a pic cuz that's basically all this thing does and it does it horribly. save your dollar.

This is what the iPhone camera app should be. I have tremors so the stabilizer feature is a great feature for me. The big button and sound shutter features are also welcome additions. The manual offers some good tips. Buy it while it's on sale!!!

Just bought this and messed around with the functions, worked great, easy to use, downloaded. SIMPLE.... Buy while it is on sale. This is all the functions the phone should have had built in. Hopefully they come out with a version for the video. HINT HINT.

The updates have been a long expected change that puts this app at the top of it's game. It just what I was waiting for. Keep up the great work dev team.

Overall this is a decent application and I wouldn't hesitate using it on older generation iPhones. However, this app does not support the builtin focus mechanism of the 3GS which makes it almost useless for this model. Problem is that during your photoshoot the optics may determine a different point of focus and the picture may be taken mid-adjustment, meaning everything comes up blurry! This happens to me one out of three times trying to take pictures. I don't know whether this is a limitation on apples side, but it could at least be mentioned in the product description!! One good thing about this app, is that it saves images in full resolution - even on the 3GS

This app does everything camerazoom does and more. The zoom quality is identical to camerazoom's, and you gain more features. Buy this instead of camerazoom, much better.

I just got this today seeing it was a camera app and it has a  star rating and it was only a buck so I gave it a shot. I must say that I like the quality picture more than camerazoom's, which I deleted as soon as this was done downloading. I also tried some of the other features and they worked great. Very impressed, keep it up!!!!

At 99 cents this app is definitely worth it. I was surprised to discover some of the features offere on top digital zoom. Although results aren't perfect, they sure fill the gaping void that Apple left users with. Enable zoom + anti-shake + tap anywhere shutter for some decent results.

Finally a zoom feature that works.  It really compliments all my other photo apps. Thanks.

Just downloaded this app expecting it to be easy to use and practical. And it's just that. The interface is simple, the pictures are clear, and it's cheap. Only thing that sort of bugs me is the inability to delete pictures straight from this app, but it's not a big problem. Definitely an app you should check out.

But the same clarity issues, that's a fault of the iPhone itself. Kudos to this app developer, finally one that isn't plagued with bugs.

For starters, disregard any and all reviews in which the user claims the "zoom" quality is horrible. Why? Because these people do not understand the concept of digital vs optical zoom. The iPhone does not have optical zoom (meaning the actual camera lens has the ability to zoom) therefore our only alternative for zooming is digital zoom which essentially zooms and crops.

Zooming is not possible with this lense. The end result is a crop. Hence why past reviewers are upset the zoomed images are blurry. Don't sell this app under the immpression we get a zoom lense. It's worth a dollar, but it's not worth misleading the user. Cropping features could be good, but a crop is not the same as a zoom.

Added lots of things I believe should have been iPhone standard. Still needs a few things but far superior to any other camera program on the iPhone.

Don't spend money on this app. You can take one pic if lucky then it crashes. It would be quicker if I went and bought film for my analog camera. It's the worst app I've downloaded to date. Sad thing is if it didn't crash and have such a poor "anti-shake" feature the app has real potential.

The latest upgrade is so fast, and burst mode is greatly improved. I switched to a few different camera apps, but now plan to only use Camera Genius and delete the rest of the camera apps on my phone :-)

Program worked OK until last update. It stopped loading after the update was installed. I had to completely remove and reinstall the program for it to work.

I have 3.1.2 on 3G phone, & even after deleting, reinstalling, rebooting several times, this App still crashes EVERY TIME on the third or forth picture, and doesn't show thumbnail pics either on burst mode, & this was the top selling App in the Apple Store?? Hahahaha, I want it fixed YESTERDAY, or my money back!!

Locked up my iPhone 3Gs. On restart, the device locked up with the Apple logo on the screen. I had to do a hard reset followed by firmware re-install and restore from backup. Watch out!!

Every time i open app, it fails to keep my previous setting- really frustrating when trying to get a shot ready. Seems simple to fix, maybe they don't realize that it's an issue that needs addressing

There is a glut of Camera apps in tue Apps Store that all try to do basically the same thing. Camera Genius was one of the first and IMO one of the best. Unfortunately it has a pretty major flaw. It's location feature doesn't embed GPS data in the file, it superimposes it ON the image! Someone thought this was cute. It's worthless! So I still use Apple's camera app for most photos, and only use Genius when I need a stabelizer. Gotta get that GPS ... and while you're at it, how app out EXIF?

It's become my go-to app for taking pics. While some pics are grainy after the zoom not a pic deal. I'm not Ansel Adams! But still works. The burst option is great, especially when taking pics of alot of folks and trying to get them all not to blink. Take a burst and you know one of them will come out great. No complaints here!

It doesn't take pictures in landscape?!?

This app has earned a permanent spot on my dock. Easy to use, fast saving, zoom, antishake, burst, and an pretty good camera manual to help you learn how to take the best photos. There is only one other camera app that I would give a higher rating, if there were a 6th Star rating. That other app is Pro Camera which has all the same features as Camera Genius and adds a built-in video app, which makes it a real stock camera app replacement. Overall, this is a great camera app that remains in my top two. Volume rocker shutter would be nice and perhaps some image editing features.

So many reviews seem to knock this app but I disagree. I have had this app for 6 months now. It is the camera app I continue to use because of its simplicity. I have a lot of camera apps and some of those out shine this one because of filters, editing options, and such but in the end I continue to use this one as my primary go to camera. Don't understand the complaints especially now that video has been added. I'm glad I bought this app.

I really like this app and the video quality is quite decent. All I would change is instead of switching to video from the menu, make a slider switch next to the shutter button like this --> [settings button] [camera roll] [shutter] [camera/video switch] <-- That would make switching between modes much nicer ;-)

Wow it starts up fast, Taking a photo using camera genus is fast, it is the first app I found to do all the things I want and does it better. The filters rock, adding borders are easy, and posting the photo to Facebook is so easy.. It just replaced $15 of other apps I use and is simple to use. Thanks.

The only camera app to use. I use this for all of my photos and they turn out better than great and I love all the cool features. Editing pictures is super easy and sending them to my social media sites is fast. The user interface makes using the app incredibly easy and the updates keep on coming and only make the app better!

Camera Genius works great! It's the best camera app I've used so far and a great value. It is so easy to use and so functional that I use it all the time!
