Easy to use, good consumer experience It actually seems like it takes better pictures than the built in camera app on my LG Optimus V. The effects are cool too - most of them are options that you lay onto the photo after you snap the pic. I was a little confused because the interface has changed some from earlier versions. I emailed to androidslide to ask about it and got a quick and helpful response. I'm very happy with this as my camera app.

Love the effects, the zoom works great. I thought the zoom was blurry when I used it, but when you take the pic, it clears up and looks great. There are some effects you can't use until after pic taken, but that's a non-issue. I tried to update from phone, but it wanted to charge me again :/ I just updated via computer since that's how I purchased it. I am using this on a Motorola Atrix. Going to look through rest of reviews to see if I have any issues, but so far there are none. Loving it.

It's fun to play with the visual effects, however, it has lots of issues as a replacement camera app. Loads much slower then the default app that came with my Droid 2. Missed some pix because of that. Also, saving requires an action; if you auto-save then you sacrifice the ability to share photos easily. There's also a HUGE lag between snapping and previewing the image. Finally, if you do share, it spams your comments with links to the app. Wish the review period was longer, would have req refund.

Seems like a great replacement for the stock camera on my Droid Razr Maxx. However, I have 2 problems which I asked the developer about 3 weeks ago, and I have not gotten any response. First, I’ve checked the box in the app to make Camera ZOOM FX the default camera, but when I hit the camera slider on the lockscreen, the stock camera starts up. Second, and more important, when I hit menu/Gallery from within Camera ZOOM FX, I’m given a choice of the stock “My Gallery” or QuickPic. I normally use QuickPic to organize my photos and videos, and have no problems opening it directly. But when I select if from within Camera ZOOM FX, I repeatedly get a red “Load failed!” message.

Fasza, hogy lett benne magyar nyelv, de a minőségre adni kellett volna. A hosszú magánhangzók helyett kriksz krakszok vannak, a menük egymás alá lógnak, és van pár értelmetlenül ragozott szöveg is. Ha nem lehet más kódolással megcsinálni, akkor inkább legyenek rövid magánhangzók, úgy még mindig olvashatóbb lenne. Pár rövidítés, és a menük nem töredeznek, és lógnak egymásba. Én rendbe teszem magamnak, de sokan bosszankodni fognak szerintem. Persze azért nagyon köszi, mert csak magyar lett végre.

This is the best camera app on the market. I can say this for sure because I have tried every single one of them. The best part about this app is the developers LISTEN to their users. If they make suggestions, the developers try their best to make good updates. There is a lot you can do with this app. The coolest feature is the ability to save settings as favorites so you can quickly apply changes to your photos. Highly recommended. Epic 4g touch.

I have the ZTE Warp and Camera ZOOM FX is FAR better than the stock camera app. I can't get over how much better my pictures look without even changing any settings. It was SO worth the full price I paid for it. I have one issue that I'm wondering if anyone else has found. When I take a picture and then go into the gallery to look at the "details" it ALWAYS says the same date for "date taken" December 8, 2002. I've uninstalled/reinstalled and get the same thing every time. I have tried 4 other camera apps and every one gives the correct date. I have the photos saving themselves in dated folders and those dates are correct. Even when I download the picture to my desktop and look at the properties it shows the same wrong date for when the picture was taken. It is a huge dealbreaker to me if I can't figure out how to correct this because if a photo is not kept in the dated folder it was first placed into, I will never know the date it was taken. Aggravating because this is an AWESOME app otherwise. Would quickly give 5 stars if not for this issue.

The shutter noise is a little delayed and it takes a little longer than I'd like for it to show the preview, but the flash works way better than the stock camera app so I guess it makes up for it. Worth the price if you actually want the flash to work well. Sometimes though the app freezes my phone and the flash will go on-off-on-off repeatedly , and I have to power down the phone. Not sure if this is an issue with my phone or the app.

No exposure lock, no exposure compensation! Also no touch focus, no video :-( How can authors claim this to be the best camera app? Whats more important?: being able to add British queen to the picture or being able to take photos of backlit scene? Exposure lock/compensation is absolutely essential feature for any camera app! Even stock camera app has it. Also virtual horizon is not even close to accurate, it would be also nice to have grid (not just simple cross) rotating with horizon. Torch mode useless, because it stops shining just before the photo is taken. Nexus S, ICS

Works but lacking features from Huawei's stock camera app such as HDR mode, Exposure adjustments, Scene settings (Nightshot is present but the stock app has 6 other scene options). Also the Auto Focus in CameraFX doesn't actually focus until I press the shutter (tried all the focus settings) with the stock app the camera is always looking for something to focus on in real time and shows crosshairs as it focuses. But using the camera flash works better in CameraFX, for whatever reason the stock app likes to randomly cause a green tint to occur when flash is used. I do like CameraFX's unique options such as stable shot, voice activation, anti banding, time lapse and timer settings. Hopefully they update the app with better Huawei Mercury support in the future.

that's for sure.. only paid .49 cents yesterday...so it was worth a try.. installed it on my Droid 3.. took a bunch of pics with it.. horrendous quality pics.. the stock camera is better albeit slow to start up.. I also have Camera 360 installed... I compared the pics .. I'll stay with using Camera 360.. much better quality pics even though Camera Zoom FX has a lot more options.. what good are they if the pic quality is lacking.. would have given it 1-Star but with so many options added the 2nd star....now I know why Google was 'given this away'--almost.. disappointed

There a few things that really disappointed me with this app. First of all, the primary reason I bought this was for its focus options thinking it had a focus slider, but no. It just has 3 focus options which are autoc infinity, and macro. That's better than the original camera app at least. The video and the screenshots make this look a lot better than it really is. If you have some cash to burn and this thing is on sale, go for a purchase. But if not, I'd hold back.

Even though I can turn off shutter sound of my stock photo app and other free apps I've installed, this one will not let me turn it off and it's really loud. There's nothing mor annoying than a fake shutter sound. I emailed the dev 2 weeks ago and still no response. It does have extra filters but the photo quality isn't any better than the stock app on my Atrix and the file size is twice as large! Much better apps out there for FREE.

Great on the FX-part, but apart from click-anywhere-to-take-picture, the camera-part is mediocre! No focusing before taking the picture. Really? Badly needs the ability to focus and refocus! Minus 2 stars. Turn on auto save and you lose auto preview. No biggie, just click the thumb nail to see the photo you just too. Don't like it? Delete it. No, wait: YOU CANT! Minus one star. This could be a great CAMERA app, had it not been for the two big mistakes mentioned above. And don't get me started on the 'extras' you can install. Why the developers have chosen to put the DESCRIPTION OF THE APP in place of the description of the extras is pure laziness and stupidity.

I always take my time before rating apps. I believe you can't give a fair rating until you have been thru it several times (that said some apps deserve same day uninstalls and 0 stars) This camera amazes me. How does the camera on my Samsung Galaxy suck so badly in comparison? Friends with the same phone have asked why my photos are so crisp compared to the photos taken on their phones. Step your game up. Buy this app. Its worth it!

Some effects &adons are okay but it should be alot more customizable considering this is a "high end" camera app. Even crop is preset settings. The effects are okay if you're playing around or making goofy pictures. I just really thought there were going to be alot more cool effects & more manual customization settings. Preset settings are good for certain things but you need an option to be able to change things to specifically how you want it ESPECIALLY cropping!@!

I thought that 16,329 people couldn't be wrong....well it seems they were. When I try to send out photos using a picture from the gallery it turns on the light on the phone and doesn't turn it off. Then it wont to do anything and you cant send the photo either...what's the point??! So sad that I spent money on this. Really really sad. I suppose I'll just have to hope and wait for an update that will fit this problem. Please send an update to fix this problem!!

The timer alone is worth having this app. So cool being able to prop my phone up against something. Check camera angle and touch the screen. It starts the count down and lets me get out there and take as many pics as I let it. Great to "join in" in pictures and not be stuck behind the camera. Or take full shot self pics of yourself. Works so well ill rate 5 stars just for that feature. UI is ok but I overlook that because of the timer.

I haven't had the chance to use it much. Specially considering all the features, but it works smoothly taking photos. I have noticed when holding the phone vertically instead of horizontally the settings menus don't switch which makes it a little awkward to use. The shutter control switches but not the settings. A small issue, just saying. The only reason I am writing this premature review is because the app keeps asking me to. Maybe I will update later but, there seems to be more than enough already.

This is the best camera app I've used so far on Android. On the whole it offers a nice compromise between the simplicity you want on a phone and the power to actually get the result you want. The one important feature it lacks is a proper cropping tool. It is a bit of a nuisance having to use a second app if the pre-set crops won't do it. This is the only reason I haven't given Camera ZOOM FX 5 stars. The other features on my wish list would be a histogram and tone curve tool, but I won't criticise their omission in an app of this kind. I have been very favourably impressed with the results this app gives, which stand comparison to anything I could achieve (on a picture taken on my phone) using image editing software on my PC.

The Bronx Legend

This setup is awesome when compared to the stock camera's effects and options, on the HTC Sensation. I do like how I can press anywhere on the screen to take a picture in Normal mode as well as the still and voice shot options which help immensely when handling a slick and slippery phone as a camera. The best feature is the after image editing. All around better app than the standard. My only complaint is the lack of finetune focus controls

Great flexibility in taking shots. As another reviewer mentioned, the crop function is severely limited, with no way to adjust crop size or position. In fact, every effect assumes your subject is centered in the frame, so I sometimes have to crop an image in another app first. Also can't find an exposure adjustment when taking shots. I guess they figure you'll adjust it afterward. Would be nice if I could move the auto-focus somewhere besides the center of the frame, like my stock camera app can.

Been using a year now and just gets on my nerves. Infinity zoom turns on by itself so constantly ruining shots, app crashes a lot - forces reboot to start camera working again even with other apps. The interface needs to be transparent, can't align shots appropriately. Devloper seems to never try to improve the app whatsoever which is annoying since it's a paid app. Those are the cons. The pros: the "stable shot" feature is very good for macros,.. uh, that's about it. Better than the stock camera app.

Camera ZoomFX works nicely on the Huawei Honor. * I use the volume up button as shutter which give much more stable pictures than touching the screen. (Unfortunately the volume-up sound is not disabled.) * Being able to disable the auto-focus is nice for snapshots. It would be nice to have a autofocus on press / shutter on release possibility though. * timer and sequence pictures are really a must have feature - great it is here Now to the problems: * HDR mode is not there (yet?), I use it with the stock camera * I'm not able to set it as 'default' camera. I've been asked once and it worked for some hours. Now, I always get the stock-camera again. Tried to reset the defaults of both camera apps, but no success.
