I downloaded Car Care and put it to immediate use, since my car was in need of an oil change. It's a very well conceived program, and it will even graph gas mileage over time.

Not sure what Milked is talking about - I have 46,000+ miles on my car and it works fine for me. Looks like it supports up to 999,999 miles.

I have had delusions of writing my own Car Care-like application for as long as I've had a handheld *silently mourns his original Palm III*, and if I were ever to get of my butt and actually do it, this app is pretty darned close to what I would do . . . and getting closer.

Not only does this application have great MPG functionality but it comes with other features that allow you to track maintenance performed on your car. I'm constantly forgetting when I have to change the oil in my car (despite the stickers in the window). This is more my style as when I’m entering fill ups I will be reminded if I’m due for service. Without much data to chart I can’t give a good review of the graphing functionality. It looks like it will do just find but I think I would have preferred a graph similar to what is in the stocks application. Finally, and most important the developer seems to be constantly adding new functionality based on customer feedback.

This is the best Gas MPG tracker app available. The multiple cars and graphs make it stand out from the rest. Sure it's a couple of more bucks but it's much more robust than other offerings.

Seems like many want features but are reticent to pay for them and I can understand that. I bit the bullet (a cheap bullet nonetheless) but I love it. It enables you to enter your odometer reading so that you don't have to reset your trip odometer at every fill up. It graphs your results too. The service add on is nice. I'm anxious to see how it compares to my onboard service reminder in the car.

Out of all the MPG apps I chose this one and I dont regret it. It is easy to use so far. Only needs way to add description to maintence.

I am happy I got this program. It does what it says well. It could use a bit of updating. Like custom reminders/services, and decimal of gas prices to 3 points. However, I contacted the developer with my questions and suggestions and he responded quickly and politely. He is very responsive about suggestions and will be adding many of the suggestions I have read in the other reviews. I would have given a three because it needs some small improvements here and there (so not a five star app yet). However because he is so responsive to the user's and suggestions I gave this app an extra star for that.

Car Care is a step above other car and mileage apps in the app store. Not only does it track your mileage, but it keeps a complete record of all your scheduled services, repairs, and maintenance, as well as costs for all of it. This is especially true now that the developer has planned custom maintenance entries. Other apps are only interested in tracking mileage, or only use a simple list. But Car Care is a complete record of everything done to your car. It has a smooth, friendly interface and even includes graphs which are both useful and fun. Finally, I'm most impressed with the developer. He's truly interested in what his users have to say, and is dedicated to making an app which meets their needs. Buy this app and he won't disappoint.

I looked at the competitors and this one seemed to have the most features. It works pretty well, I use it to track 3 different vehicles. I wanted an app that graphs my mpg, graphs fuel costs and supports multiple vehicles. This does it all. The downsides are that the Graphs look OK, not the same fantastic graphics you see on other iPhone apps. The data entry has some quirks, for example scrolling from 0-9 goes only in one direction so if you need to change a zero to a nine you have to scroll down 9 spots -- seems like you could just bump up one spot to the nine. Overall it's pretty good, and would expect these details to get ironed out in future releases.

Unless you have less then 25000 on the clock it does not work... Limit on milage is 25000, so at 54000 it useless to me even though I had to pay for it...

The program is great for someone who likes to track the car's stats. I would like have the ability to enter other car care info. This is a good start and can be an total car care tool with some refinements. They are on the right track. Keep pluggin away.

This is a well-done, thoughtful and useful app. I've had a lot of fun in the new App Store, but as a frugal fellow, I must note that this is the ONLY app for which I have paid. It is well worth the money and then some. Additionally, the developer is very responsive. In a same-day response the developer indicated he might be adding some of the service items mentioned by my shop and that customization is coming also. While I look forward to successive updates, this app is already a functional and useable app.

After checking out all the other car apps this was the one I purchased, and I don't regret it. Yes, a few things will be better after updates, but based on the rapid and respectful reply from the developer when I wrote with my suggestions, I expect that he WILL come through with the improvements. Things I love: The charts, which give a nice graphical take on the lists, the service entries and reminders, the cute custom photo of my car, the UI. Things needed: date and location entries, ability to roll the odometer backwards (I find it easier to flick down than up when scrolling through the numbers), ability to edit saved entries (which he said is coming). Extra bonus - the price point.

I keep a log on my car use. This is certainly better than pen and pencil.

Shaping up to be a very useful utility, with an excellent feature set ....Version 1.1 added a notes field, ability to add historical gas data into the app, ability to export data and soon to import data from the web site. This is an important feature if you value the historical trends and don't want to lose data (you can always transfer it to an excel spreadsheet). Karl, the developer, has been exceptionally responsive on multiple occasions (within a few minutes, but then he was probably on line) and helpful if you have any questions. Suggestions are taken seriously, and Karl will include them in future updates; examples are input options for total cost of fill, option to use the keyboard for numerical entry (rather than the "wheel"), etc. If you enter some historical data, then the graph provides a cool view of the mileage and gas pricing trend......keep up the good work

While this is a version one program, this application is on the right track. The customized reminder feature of needed oil changes, to rotate tires, etc is implemented in the right fashion. By inputting my gas, it checks to see if I need any services now. If you watch the video, you’ll see that the enhancements planned will make this program even more valuable. It currently captures the basics nicely and the ability to add customized services in the next version will only add to the value.

To add a vehicle model that is NOT listed go to your make of vehicle,( i.e Ford, isuzu, dodge, etc) at the top of that page is a + symbol, touch that symbol and you can add any model you like( i.e excursion, amigo, challenger, etc) there is a glitch I noticed though, when I tried to add a make (i.e Geo) the + symbol opens the screen to add but when I type in make and save it doesn't save yet... Great app though especially on first build.

Good graphics, allows for input of the odometer reading rather than using the trip meter (much more reliable than having to remember to reset the trip meter every fillup), allows the entry of more than one vehicle, even allows you to put a photo of your vehicle on the entry.

Car Care is a great little application to help track vehicle maintenance and gas mileage. The user interface for this application is extremely well thought out and easy to use. Adding my first vehicle and fill-up was quick and easy.

This app is definitely worth the money. The interface is the most polished of the mileage tracking apps, and includes tracking of services as well.

I would like to see a confirmation of some sort when entering information and hitting save. The first time I used it I enter info and hit save not realising it did. (hey it sounds bad i knowl) anyway I now have 5 entries for the same info. How do I get rid of unwanted entries? I can't figue it out.

I have been using this app for several weeks now, with 2 or 3 fill ups per week and I have to say the interface needs improvement. It takes too long to scroll through the gallons. I would prefer at least one more decimal place in the gallons for more accurate calculations. I also was bitten by the upgrade bug. Maybe my fault for not going though the app store to read about the upgrade, but very frustrating.

They warn you at the app store, they warn you on their website. However, if you don't go to either of these two places before you click that "Upgrade All", button on your iPhone, all your data will be wiped out.

I've tested a number of car apps and this one has proven to be the best. Data entry is very intuitive, which I didn't find to be the case with gas cubby. I would like to see more graphs as well as full screen graphs, but for ease of entry and retrieval of data, this is it. I noted that one review wanted more service categories - it allows you to add your own very easily.
