Chinese Chess is one of my favorate games,its really funny,Almost every chinese treats it as good wealth,I hope more people love this game!

Can the developer make the basic easier? For encouragement.......

**Adding to my previous review, there is a major flaw in the system. When playing against the computer, many times during a tight game, it will persist in an endless pursuit chasing a piece, with repeated moves. Whereas, "official" special rules, I have read many for research, limit such moves and will deem these endless pursuits as an automatic loss to the player performing such chases after X number of times. The lack of such rules basically ensures a higher chance for the computer winning, because you are forced to make an unwanted move to keep the game going, or restart. I have downgraded my rating because of this.**

I like it so much .Very powerful software!!! On the expert level it whoop me good , not like other PDA software. Please update with more better them look like White, lite Aqua maybe

Love this game! It's extremely difficult and challenging. Won only one game out of many so far. But if you can beat the computer consistently, you can beat those old guys playing at the park.

Chinese Chess is my favorite. It is kind of like Chess. The prgram is quite well designed and the level of difficulty is good enough to beat lot of people. However, I wish I could see some Chinese Chess software coming with artificial intelligence.

I picked up this app based on the reviews and was happy that the game played as advertised. I learned to play a few years back but after changing jobs lost my steady opponent, this has allowed me to pick the game back up and continue learning it. It took me awhile to remember some of the basic strategies to keep the easy game from beating me mercilessly but now I've retrained my brain to think through the options and am preparing to step up to the next stage. I've recommended this to everyone with a pod or phone that's shown interest in the game and heartily recommend it to anyone concidering the purchase. Well worth it.

Love this game...great option to play diff level...just a dislike when i play music & play this game at the same time it will crash to the springboard after a few moves.

Been waiting for Chinese chess for a while. Awesome app with full features. Would be better if easy is easier tho. Would be perfect if it had Internet play like some other apps.

Being a Chinese chess fan, this is the app I've been waiting for. It is the only such app out there and for that the developer should get the credit they deserve. The 1.2 version is considerably better than 1.1. Pls keep up the good work! A suggestion to the developer: can you also add some final-stage puzzle games? The other Go game app does well on that. For those who tout .99, Stop! This app is well worth the money. I give it a 5 star without hesitation.

You have to physically hand the phone to the other player.....that's pathetic!!

3.99 is cheap for such a full feature game. The AI is also pretty good. In fact, I hope it could be made easier on the lower levels. Thanks for making the game!

Great game. Smart computer opponent (about a 6-7 on a scale of 1-10). However, I didn't give it more than 3 stars because there were still some bugs they needed to fix. (Version I have is 1.1)

Good game but need to update computer. Checkmate maximum of 3 times. Computer keep checkmate. Regulation is 3 max!

program needs to show the pieces that players have lost during the game. I have to constantly count what I have left and what my oppenent has left.

Im trying to learn to play from the book but I can't undo and replay from human vs human . Can u update so I can save history list go Back to last move from history list. Unlimite undo and replay thank you

Whoever rated this games more than 2 stars, they're all idiots. This damn game is so lame. First, it takes FOREVER just to make a move. Second, it keep checking to avoid losing. Third, I beat the sh*t out of this many times, so does my friends, even on their first try ( on the so called "EXPERT" level).

Great app, very addictive and never gets old. But needs an update, freezes and locks my phone when making an odd opening move. Other than that, it's perfect. Thanks

At last! Chinese Chess Master has added the option of playing with pieces identified with symbols instead of Chinese characters. Now I can actually play a game without the major headache of wondering which piece is which. I've played two games so far, both at the Easy level. Lost one, and barely won the other. The Easy level should be made a little easier. Nonetheless, I am quite happy with this APP. Of course, there's usually room for improvement.

I've played Chinese chess since 8 years old on and off. Not an expert but a ok player. This game is so hard to beat. I played 10 times at the "normal" level but couldn't beat the computer even once!!! If you like Chinese chess, this is the one to get for your ipod. The save game function is great. Will be even better if it support network game with other players.
