Welcome to the coolest Nonogram/Picross game on the iPhone.
Color Cross is one of those games that feels like it was destined for the iPhone from the beginning.
Almost perfect...Picross on the iPhone doesn’t get any better than this.
It’s highly addicting, and with hundreds of puzzles, will keep you entertained for a very long time.

Color Cross is a new type of picture puzzle where you use logic to reconstruct an image.
The rules are simple: Using the numbers written around the grid, you deduce the color of each box. In the end a superb illustration is revealed.
You just have to know a little bit about numbers and a little logic to solve the puzzles.
Can you solve each puzzle faster than your friends?

Needs Save Feature

I've been a fan of these types of puzzles for a long time. This would be a wonderful app if it had a save feature.
Great game, though...
I agree with the other reviewers. This app would definitely be a 5 star for me if it had the capability to save, and you didn't lose all your progress if you get a phone call or text message or something that takes you out of the game.

Crashing on start up

Lite Version and Full Version crash on start up with latest iphone update of 3.0.1. Absolutely fantastic version of Picross. A 5 star app that should be in the top ten if you can fix the crash problem. 1 out of 50 attempts gets it to start up correctly. Once it is running it is solid and works perfectly. Please fix ! ! ! (Yes, I have deleted and re-installed which did nothing other than lose my saved data...)

This is a wonderful game. The idea of using color for nanograms is inspired. So why only 3 stars? The game has two flaws; one very serious and the other annoying. First, there is no save ability. Some of the larger puzzles can take up to a half hour to complete. A save option is a NEEDED REQUIREMENT! If the developers added a save function, I would give this a 5 star rating. The puzzles are fun, a challange, and attractive. The second feature that is annoying is the fact that you cannot make a mistake. If you hit the wrong square (which is easy to do with fat fingers), the program immediately lets you know with an X (conversly, once a square is marked, you cannot remove it). What fun is that? Let me solve the puzzle on my own. Otherwise, this is a great implementation and a must for nanogram fans. PLEASE ADD A SAVE FUNCTION.
No save capability

Okay I admit. I am a huge fan of pic cross. The idea of the colors with each color requiring me to do a pic cross in a pic cross is way cool. I have one VERY big complaint. No save capability. At least that I can see. With these puzzles being so huge and complicated, when I get to the 20x25 to loose your game when you get called away is quite frustrating. Hopefully that will be fixed on next update.
Also, sometimes I do quess but I am going between all the colors. I don't necessary finish a color before I move on. That seems to be helping. I also use the "x" key quite a lot. I fill in the spaces with the "x" if I know that square is not the color I am working on. It helps quite a bit.
Thanks for a great game. Just get me the save capability.
Best picross-type game on the iPhone.
I'm not sure which build of the game that 1-star review played, but there is absolutely nothing wrong with the controls, and you can slide your finger to fill squares without an issue. The graphics and UI are totally slick, and being able to zoom in and out makes it easy to not make mistakes. I've played Nonogram games before, and this is by far the best one I've ever played for any console!
One major downfall

This is a great game for the most part, with a couple of minor drawbacks and one major downfall. The minor drawbacks are that the occasional puzzle is impossible to solve without "guessing," which of course penalizes your score for making a mistake. Similarly, it is a little too easy to accidentally mark the wrong square when trying to mark a different one on the touch screen. Additionally, the large amount of sound and animation in use drains my iPhone's battery far more quickly than most other applications that I use.
Interface needs serious work
I've played the PC version of this game, and it's great. Nice puzzles, good concept, etc. The controls for the iPhone version, however, are abysmal and make it unplayable. You can't slide your finger to fill squares, you must tap each one individually, which kills the game. Fix this and Color Cross could be a hit. See PicGrid for a great example of how a picross game should be controlled.
