Fine, but it requires that you know the local sales tax percentage. Why isn't there the possibility entering the dollar amount of the tax?

Unacceptable! In your "how to tip" section, you say 15% for acceptable service to 20% for great service is standard. That implies 18% for good, normal service. You then state that you just "double your state tax and tip that" to leave less!! Are you telling me you NEVER had good service worth 18% or "great" service worth 20%??
This app gets 1 star for implying that your actions are okay. I assure you, they are not. Good/Great service deserves 20%. I wish I could give this app zero stars.
(One further point - the vast majority of people tip on the total AFTER tax. Only the cheap ones do not. Ask any server.)
