I've never seen anything like it! It's going to take a while to get through it but so far I'm pretty impressed. I was a fan of the book but this is crazy. It's like a game and a book had an unholy child. With lots of blood. And creepy sounds. It's the first time I've ever been impressed with an electronic book.

This app combines a well-known book with a number of effects and 'extras' that are optimized for the iPad platform. Throughout reading the book, users see a variety of visuals that add to the plot, can view short videos in line with the story, and can collect clues and information about different characters. Full video, sound and color are included, though users have the option to turn them off or manage the effects. This app is substantially different that reading a book on an e-reader, adding a variety of enhancements. Good for anyone who likes Zuiker, CSI or pushing the boundaries of what is possible on an iPad.
