Started with night camera apps and although that one is good this apps is better. 1. Picture quality is about the same as night camera but obviously a lot better than normal camera apps. 2. This apps saves pics a LOT faster vs night camera. This alone is worth switching over. 3. Two additions that night camera doesn't have: Full screen shutter (let you take your own picture by just clicking anywhere on the screen) and time delay option. Great buy!!

I might never use the default camera app again. Here you have a self-portrait app, a steady-shot night photo app and a camera timer all rolled into one. In purchasing this app I was able to remove 3 apps from my phone, and considering the low price of this app, this is very impressive.

I've rarely taken a sharp picture with the iPhone, because in anything less than full sunlight, the slightest camera movement causes blurring. SteadyCam completely fixed that problem. It's amazing! And being able to tap anywhere on the screen to shoot, especially self portraits, is an incredibly vital feature. The only negative is that it's a bit slower to save photos to the camera roll. I'll never use the built in iPhone camera app again!

I can instantly tell the difference when I use this app. It delivers exactly what it promises. I even shook my phone while using the timer and it wouldn't take the pic until it knew it was stable enough. Also, the low-light feature works very well. I duplicated the same conditions with the built-in iPhone camera and there is no contest! This app won every time. Well worth one buck!!

This is a useful app. However, looking at the EXIF data of the photos I've taken with Darkroom Premium, I realized that the photos taken with Darkroom lack any geotags. This is a must - I hope to see geotagging added soon. Thanks for the app.

I was amazed by this app. I've tried many Camera apps before and they were all unstable and/or took years to load. A camera app ain't no good if it freezes ur iPhone and you have to hard reset, losing your shot! This loads fast, the camera movement is super fast and picture taking is also super fast! App is super smooth and ultra responsive! I give it an A+!!!!!!

I think this app, ROCKS! I RARELY took a picture that wasn't a blurry mess. With this app, you can't go wrong. It won't snap the picture until your hand is steady. I've been using the regular (free) version for awhile and just purchased the Premium. Looking forward to the timer. Best app around.

Great App, but the pictures taken with Darkroom Premium are not GeoTagged for iPhoto'09 (iLife'09). Back to the native iPhone photo App.

Much improved functionality to the built in camera than the basic Camera app. I like it's many features. But it must start incorporating the GPS coordinates in the picture information. The newest iPhoto makes this mandatory, yet Darkroom Premium does not imbed the location information. I would bump it up a full star if that gets added. -1/30/09

I don't have a need for the stadard iPhone camera anymore - these pics always come out sharper. The price is worth it just for being able to use the full screen as the shutter button. I wish you could review you pics easier - scrolling through like usual instead of tapping back and forth. The name change was pretty retarded - this app is totally about steadying your camera and nothing to do with editing (like a darkroom)

Great app... But the auto saving of a picture takes way too long. Update and fix this and it will be super brilliant.

This app is fantastic. I just love things like steady cam, which actually ADD functionality to the iPhone rather than detract eg: the plethera of fart apps the app store has recently been innundated with. Now, as far as the app goes it's fantastic. It works as advertised and I really like that you can review your photos after taking them. Also, using the entire screen as a shutter for self portraits or awkward positions really comes in handy. Of course there is always room for improvement hence the 4 star rating. What I would like to see would be the ability to delete and email photos from directly from within the app. SCP would be nothing short of amazing if this functionaly could be added. Thanks so much!

The app takes forever to save the picture. So far, I've taken four pics using this app and 50% of them have crashed my iPhone, to the point where I've had to reboot the phone to get it to respond. The only reason I'm giving it two stars is cause it works well when it does work. And the support links point to sites that don't even acknowledge that they are the writers. I don't recommend this app at all until the developer fixes the crashing issue.

I loved the first, free SteadyCam app, but the premium version -- with its full screen shutter and timer -- is like three apps in one, allowing me to delete two of my previously installed apps for this one. Works great, hasn't taken a bad picture yet and makes the iPhone camera actually viable and usable. Definitely worth the money.

Promising app, but there a few things that need fixing. Saving is slow, opening camera roll is just a preview, so it's bulky if you want to email, needs to adjust to horizontal mode, pictures are taken a little to the right off-center, if you have steady hands, not a big diff so considering the new "darkroom" name should take better pictures in dark rooms, color is a little washed out. Promising. Oh, and I can deal with the "P" in the icon, but in the app name, looks stupid. Maybe I found a lot wrong, but I like it, and hope for updates. Update 4/8/2009... Things have improved a little, but not in what I already stated. There's more options and features. The centering thing really bothers me the most, then the speed. Granted, given it's purpose, it's going to take some time, and it does have a nice feature to save or discard, but it's the save which is longer than apple's. But bottom line is it does what it says, and if you have steady hands, just take a pic while moving around a bit, then do the same with apple's. Apple just blurs, and darkroom comes out clear. So if you get into a non-steady situation, it's great. Get drunk, use darkroom. Not the biggest diff in dark situations, though, I assume the name change was a trademark issue and refers to the ability to have some control, like in a darkroom. I have not replaced apples app totally because of the issues I state, so still "promising", raising it a star for the updates, and it does what it says, when you need that steady shot.

I have used Darkroom Premium every day for a couple months now. It is rock-solid reliable. Before I got this Darkroom app, I was very disappointed in the iPhone camera. Now I find that it consistently takes very good photos, thanks to Darkroom. It really is THAT simple.

This is a good app, but it is true that if the camera moves after the shutter/ after the bar fills, the picture is blurry fix this and I will be happy :)

It has been mentioned before but I think it bears repeating. The pictures this app takes are all off center. There is a noticable shift in the image that can be very frustrating. When taking a picture, the shutter sound occurs just before the picture is actually taken. If you move the camera right after the sound, you get a very blurry image. You must hold the camera still for an additional half second or so. That may not sound like a long time, but it's enough to be annoying when trying to keep the camera still. It should play the sound when the pic is finished. My current rating is three stars, but I'll add a star for each of these items when they are fixed.

why would I pay a fee for all the extra features and then be given an uglier icon and app name. Remove the p, it's not like the user doesn't know they have the premium version.

Taking photo is a common task. Darkroom is so much better.

It really helps sharpen iPhone pictures... I only have one request for a future update... Please append geotag and iPhone camera information to the pic... That would make it awesome. Thanks for increasing the saving speed in v2.2

I've had this app for a while now and realize that this app is going downhill. There are so many other great camera apps coming out you really need to add more features. My idea is to imcorporate the zooming function into your app. If you do this the app will soar to the top.

Save your money! The app works like it claims, except when you take a photo in Landscape mode it does not automatically rotate it. Pretty much useless at this point.

Wow, does a great job on the new iPhone. The pictures come out much better than the regular camera, especially in darker areas. Sure it does take a bit longer than the regular camera pgm on the iPhone, but the tradeoff is that the pictures look better!

This is by far the best camera app for the iphone, I recommended to all users....this camera will defitnely replace my stock cam.

This app does NOT work with iPhone 3.0 software. Come on developer, the official version comes out next week! I used this app all the time before I joined the developer program and installed 3.0. Since then, the app just crashes every time I try to take a picture. It was well worth price, but unless it gets updated fast, don't even bother.

I used this app all the time until I upgraded to iPhone 3.0. The app now crashes every time I attempt to capture an image. Hurry it up and get an update out, developers.

I love this app but the one thing that could make it better would be to touch any part of your iPhone to take a pic. This would help when taking a pic of your self!!

Wonderful application, works fine at improving the quality of our pictures taken at night. Catches my grandson on the fly better than the original app. Loved the timer function we are having a blast with Steady Cam. I use your app more than the app that came with the iphone. You should rethink what you are asking for it, it is worth more! Thanks for taking the time to build Steady Cam Pro.

People read the description before you put down anything bad. They know it is not compatible but they are making new versions but apple keeps rejecting them so be patience and stop complaining

Looks like Stepcase at last managed to get this fabulous camera substitute approved with all features intact. Much more robust than Camera Genius which I bought and have now dumped. Hooray!

Between this and a good photo editing app like photoshop's app, for example, I get great results with my iPhone photography. The one thing I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see added to this app is a LONG EXPOSURE mode. I made a tripod stand for my iphone with some things I got in homedepot (steel clamp, 1/4 x 20 adapter nut, & jb weld) and if I could do LONG EXPOSURE shots my iPhone would really be the only camera I would carry around with me for spontaneous photography. As far as I know, none of the apps in the app store have a long exposure mode available, I'm sure the first app to have this feature would sell a ton of copies.
