When Makeshift Games first announced Depict HD for iPad, they revealed that the game would be OpenFeint-less until the new SDK was released and they could implement the code.  That time has finally arrived, as Depict HD has been updated to include the iPad-optimized version of OpenFeint, making it whole again and even better than the iPhone version. Makeshift Games has announced that their popular multiplayer drawing game Depict is going to be hitting the iPad in HD form and I couldn’t be any more excited.  The game is already fantastic on the iPhone, offering entertaining spurts of pictionary-like gameplay, and it will be even more fantastic on the iPad thanks to its large screen and additional features. One of the developers we met up with at GDC was Makeshift Games who previously released Chuck the Ball in early 2009. Their latest creation, however, is an online multi-player pictionary-type game called Depict. The game was originally released in December as a $0.99 game, but has since made the transition to Free. The game is structured around a round in which up to 5 players compete to guess what is being drawn. Each player has a turn at drawing during each game. The faster you answer, the better your score. So far at every GDC event there have been at least a couple indie titles that really stand out from the pack. Last year there was Doodle Jump (and look where it is now!).
