This game is a blast! The graphics, presentation, music, and gameplay are all extremely well done. It feels like a DS or PSP game in terms of quality. $1.99 is a cheap for a game this good! Plus, I love the fact that it can use my contacts as patients, very cool.

Yeah this game is really addicting. The tilt controls work surprisingly well considering alot if games don't use them to well. Also, the use of using the contact lost makes it alot more interactive. If you liked or played any of the Trauma Center games for the Wii or DS then this is a must. Now where is my Ace Attorney Iphone game!?!?!

There are many games/apps that are a complete waste of space. This however is definiately not one of them. This game has solid gameplay and great graphics. The developers at Ngmoco did a great job with this. If you are hesitating on buying this game then just look at all the other 5 star reviews under this one. ***This game does lag a little (for me at least) during certain times while playing so if the devs could improve the framerate of the game I'd be very greatful.***

Like other reviewers, AWESOME is all I can say. Trauma Center-but cheaper and using your friends! I've already killed a few friends (oops!) and saved a lot. ngmoco to me means quality!

Probably one of the most fun games on the store right now, it's really simple and really fun.

Contact integration combined with gameplay that is both fast-paced and fun make this game a great buy. Yesterday I was playing and my mom's name popped up on the patient list. The doctors said: "Dr. Awesome, isn't that your..." Clever bits of writing like that make the short scenes in-between the game itself really neat.

These guys at ngmoco keep pushing the best iphone games around! This one is so fun, reminiscent of the classic Qix, but with enough twists to make it feel like a completely original new game. Graphics are Awesome, Sound is Awesome, action is Awesome! Plus, the originality of performing operations on your phonebook buddies makes it even more... Awesome! Dr. Awesome, you just entered the list of iconic game characters of videogame history! Wish this game could grow into a full blown Trauma Center for the iPhone, cause I would gladly pay for it! Cant wait for Rolando, keep up the good work!

So awesome. i like how it takes the names from your contacts and uses them for the patients names you save. really fun and innovative game for the iphone. id pay more than $1.99 for it.

This is a great variation on the arcade game Qix. The use of accelerometer control is well-implemented, and the fact that the game uses your contact list for patient names is great--though I just saved my local Pizza Hut from infection. ;-)

Qix meets Trauma Center. Super-tight production value, great sound design, good use of accelerometer. The fact that you can "operate" on peeps from your contact list is awesome. I immediately laughed my arse off at the brilliance of that idea and just had to take some screen shots of my "friends" on the table about to be butchered (press square button + sleep button for those uninitiated). Some good random commentary adds to the fun, like "Isn't that an acquantance of yours? Don't let that distract you, you have a job to do".

Wow, they really took this to another level. It could just be a little puzzle game but they added cool music, fun character artwork, a story, and levels? AND YOU GET TO CURE YOUR FRIENDS? Amazing.

Great game. Thought it would get boring after first few levels but gets better as you go. Keep up the good work ng moco!!!!

I'm loving this game. It's extremely well done. I do wish it supported touch screen controls rather than tilt. But that's just a design decision and does not take away from how fun the game is.

Dr. Awesome is great. The tilt controls work really well for this type of game and the graphics are very pleasant. The contact list thing feels a little weird but it's really clever and stops being weird after a couple patients.

Great addictive game! I bought the game just after midnight and have been playing it for two hours strait! I love the integration with my contact list. I actually felt bad when I couldn't "save" my cousin!

This is a great game that is perfect for the iPhone because it is no problem to play it for five minutes in line and then go back to the same spot five hours later. But also it is a very fun and challenging game that will give you a good time. We really need to celebrate these small indie dev companies, they're really the heart of this platform. It is really great to have companies that come up with this awesome innovative software, Topple has got to be one of the coolest games I have ever played and I could not have dreamed of such a game and it turns out to be one of my favorites. Topple, made by Ngmoco of course. I had no idea what dr awesome was until I seen it on the store and just looking at screenshots I thought it looked pretty neat and was made by the same company that made Topple so I didn't even think twice, purchased it and have been pleasantly surprised how fun this game is. If anyone is hesitant to purchase one of this companies apps because you're not familiar with the title and not too sure about quality, etc. Well I can guarantee you will be buying great software and I mean come on we're talking 1.99 which is peanuts, these guys need to eat too so everyone should buy a copy since they don't charge a great deal and are obviously hoping to make it up in quantity. The appstore is a few months old, we haven't even scratched the surface of this platform and I and I'm sure everyone else would love to see this great innovation pace keep on going which is why we need to spend money! Think of it as R&D money and on top of that you're getting a great piece of software in exchange too.

I have only been playing for 10 minutes but I love it already. The graphics are outstanding (reminds me of Spiderman comics) and the game play is really neat and easy to get the hang of.

It is addicting and simple. Style-wise it reminds me of "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney." I think it is an easy choice at $0.99. It is fun frustrating and keeps me coming back for more.

I am having a lot of fun with this game. I like how it has you operate on your Contacts. The controls are very smooth, though I'd like it better if I could drag the cutter instead of having to use tilt, but I still enjoy it a lot! Very enjoyable!

The game is a very good looking and polished game for the price level. It would have been a 4 star game if it were not for 2 major flaws. The use of a 24 hour clock that runs even when you are not playing is very bad for a portable game. Penalizing a player just because they don't play it every single day is very poor game design. The other major problem is the dificaulty curve. Not a lot of thought and/or work went into it. The game chugs along at a slow increase in dificulty as you progress though the levels. Then all of a sudden the speed and numbers of enemies on screen jumps dramatically. What makes this worse is that it jumps to a level that is simply too much given the slow and inacurate tilt controls on the iPhone/iPod. Around the point you reach apx 15 patients cured it simply becomes pure luck to actually save a patient since the tilt controls are too slow and inaccurate to allow the precision cuts needed when there are 7 or 8 fast moving and fast firing enemies on screen.
