Disponible: App Store Precio: Gratis Read More

When it comes to voice-powered search, there are plenty of options. Of course, Bing and Google have voice search as a built-in option and there are plenty of other apps specializing in all manner of specific queries. What makes Dragon Go a bit different is the fact that the new iPhone app often knows what to do with a specific query. Say “Play R.E.M.” and it opens Pandora. Say “buy tickets for Bridesmaids” and it will open Fandango. But say “Reviews for Bridesmaids” and it will open IMDB instead. Meanwhile, asking for a review of a restaurant should bring up Yelp while a query for reservations for that same restaurant polls OpenTable. Nuance, which created the free app, has built an open architecture aimed at including all manner of vertical queries. At launch it supports more than 180 options from the aforementioned sites to services such as Yelp, Wikipedia and Google. Read More
Will iOS 5 get integrated voice tech?
Calendar16 Tue, 29 Mar 2011 18:30:00 UTC +00:00
TechCrunch is reporting the rumor today, and some sources I have close to the Siri product think it is likely happening. Siri is that very cool personal assistant app. It allows you to ask questions that the app sends (as your voice data) to a server where it is recognized. The query is then sent off to a series of search engines to find an answer, which is finally returned to the user. You can ask for things like the best area pizza shop, the status of an arriving flight or the weather in Omaha. The speech recognition in the app comes from Nuance, the company that developed Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search. Last year, Apple bought Siri, and it seems likely that the tech will find its way into Apple products, especially iDevices. Siri is a very clever app, and it has always made a great demo on my iPhone. Read More
Dragon Dictation : reconnaissance vocale pour iPhone
Calendar16 Mon, 20 Sep 2010 16:51:57 UTC +00:00
Le texte alors retourné Read More
Dragon Search now available for medical professionals
Calendar16 Sat, 14 Aug 2010 19:30:00 UTC +00:00
Here's something that will be welcomed by the health community. Nuance Communications has released a free, medical version of Dragon Search called Dragon Medical that lets mobile physicians and other health workers search a variety of medical publications on their iPhone or iPad by just speaking search phrases. Information on drug interactions, latest medical news and diagnoses are available from the app, as well as a search though Google. The original Dragon Search allows general information lookup using several search engines. Nuance is now moving toward more specialized apps for professionals. The app is free for a limited time, and Nuance intends to bring out more apps for health workers, including a version of Dragon Dictation so patient notes and other information can be turned into text and saved. You can watch a video of the app in action here. Read More

Vlingo 2 adds more voice power to iPhone
Calendar16 Thu, 04 Mar 2010 05:15:00 UTC +00:00
In the burgeoning market for iPhone voice recognition apps, the free Dragon Dictate clearly holds the top spot. In fact, this paragraph was dictated using DragonDictate (with some minor edits after the fact). However, the application doesn't always shine when it comes to getting your text quickly and easily into different places where you might want to use it. You can send an e-mail or a text message if you want to, but you can't update your Facebook status or send a Twitter message without copying and pasting. Performing a search requires an entirely separate app. To make your dictation process easier -- at least when it comes to getting your text to go where you want, when you want -- there's the latest update to the Vlingo app, which we first reviewed last June. Vlingo 2.0 is trying to up the ante for text recognition by putting all the 'next Read More
Nuance Communications has finally decided to stop ignoring all of you iPod touch users out there and have updated both Dragon Dictation and Dragon Search with support for your favorite music playing touchscreen device.  Now if only they would stop ignoring the rest of the world and release the apps in more countries. Both Dragon apps launched last month to quite a bit of excitement, only to have many users fret over privacy issues and the lack of iPod touch support.  Those issues have been addressed via recent updates, and in addition, both apps now feature an enhanced user interface and the ability to have the apps figure out when you are done dictating when there is silence.  The ability to toggle this new feature on and off is located in Settings rather than within the app, and so is the ability to choose whether or not to send any data Read More
Dragon Search
Calendar16 Tue, 12 Jan 2010 12:20:42 UTC +00:00
It's been quite a while since Google released it's mobile app and changed how we search. Using an amazing speech recognition technology users are able to search using only their voice and the app will turn it into text. Dragon Search takes that popular and useful technology and ramps up its usability. Just like the Google Mobile app, Dragon Search allows users to search the web using their voice. But instead of searching just Google, users can take that search and immediately search Twitter, Wikipedia, iTunes, Youtube, and Google as well as Yahoo or Bing depending on your preferences. The app gives users the option to switch the search by swiping across the top of the screen. In my tests, the app didn't get as many voice searches correct as the Google Mobile app did, but as an overall test, it nailed most of them. The app definitely makes searching quickly Read More
If you lust after Dragon Dictation [iTunes link] and Dragon Search [iTunes link] and own an iPod touch, your prayers have been answered. Nuance, the creator of both apps, now has updated versions of the free apps that allow 2nd and 3rd generation iPod touch devices to dictate and search all they want. Of course, you'll need a microphone if you don't use the Apple-included headset/mic. iPod touch users were sorely disappointed when the Dragon apps came out last month, but they should be happy now. In addition to the iPod touch support, the new version of Dragon Dictation has an enhanced UI, and now the app can figure out that you are done dictating when there is silence. This is configured on the iPhone settings menu, rather than in the Dictation app itself. There is also an opt-out button if you don't want the app to send your list of Read More
Nuance Releases Dragon Search for iPhone
Calendar16 Mon, 21 Dec 2009 22:47:38 UTC +00:00
Nuance hinted that a search app was on the way when they announced their iPhone dictation app, and now it’s here and ripe for the picking. Using voice alone, you can search Wikipedia, Google, Bing, Yahoo!, Twitter, YouTube, and iTunes simultaneously with Dragon Search – just switch tabs to get the different results. Even if the voice transcription is a little off, you can pick from a list of suggested queries relatively easily. Bing and Google have voice-activated iPhone search in their own respective apps, but Nuance has a good thing going by enabling so many engines at once. You can download the Dragon Search app for free (for a limited time) from the iTunes App Store here, but you can take a closer look at the app over at Nuance. Simon Sage’s education largely surrounded writing, technology and online community, leading him to begin his blogging career at www.BlackBerryCool.com and Read More

Dragon Search App Allows for Voice-Controlled Searches
Calendar16 Fri, 18 Dec 2009 21:16:31 UTC +00:00
Sometimes there’s something really good out there if you know what to look for. Per this, Dragon Search [App Store, free] is a voice search app that aggregates results from Google, Wiki, Twitter, YouTube, and iTunes, and more. The application is currently available for free and the second app that developer Nuance has released gratis for a limited time this month. Google Searches via Dragon Search will bring up largely the same top results as the current Google App, so searches are a bit redundant. Still, you can’t go wrong for free and give this a gander. by We were left practically speechless by the quality of Dragon Dictation, an iPhone app that does instant speech-to-text transcription. The same company has just unveiled their latest iPhone offering — Dragon Search — and it’s just as impressive as the first. Dragon Search [iTunes link] is powered by the company’s remarkably accurate speech-to-text transcription technology, and gives users the ability to search so much more than Google. With your voice search you can instantly toggle through results from Google, Yahoo, Bing, YouTube, Twitter Search, iTunes and Wikipedia. The app is stupidly simple to use and lightening fast. After you launch it, simply click the red button to say your search query. Hit “done” and you’ve just searched practically the entire web with your voice. Results are displayed on single pageviews per search engine, and you can use your finger to quickly scroll through the horizontal toolbar to arrive at your Read More

Dragon Launches A Powerful Voice-Powered Search App
Calendar16 Fri, 18 Dec 2009 02:23:15 UTC +00:00
Days after the blatant success of their voice recognition app Dragon Dictate, Dragon has launched another app featuring their own take on voice-powered search. It’s called Dragon Search, and lets you scour the web using your voice like no other app. Dragon Search uses Dragon’s powerful voice recognition engine to recognize what you’re searching for, and easily switches between Google, Wikipedia, Twitter, Youtube and even your own music library to find the answer. This is a great feature that you won’t find on big name search apps like Google mobile or Bing. It’s definitely refreshing to see a new player in this category and now that they fixed their privacy issues it’s a must-have. Read More
Dragon Search is a voice search app that aggregates results from Google, Wiki, Twitter, YouTube, and iTunes, and more. It's good for free, and free for now, so get on it before they start charging. After Dragon Dictation, this is the second app that Nuance has released gratis for a limited time this month. The only thing stopping Dragon Search from being a must-have is that voice search with your Google app will bring up largely the same top results, so for casual surfing it's a bit redundant. If you're looking for a deeper dive, though, the scrolling Search Carousel UI is actually a useful tool. Dragon Search also acts as a nice cheat to use voice search for the iTunes store, which might save your thumbs some damage in the long run. [iTunes] Read More

Nuance Launches Voice-powered Dragon Search App For iPhone
Calendar16 Thu, 17 Dec 2009 22:48:26 UTC +00:00
Greg Kumparak is the Mobile Editor at Techcrunch. Greg has been writing for the TechCrunch network since May of 2008. Greg was born just outside of San Jose, and now lives in the East Bay of California. → Learn More Hot on the heels of the launch of their Dragon Dictation app (and a short-lived and mostly overblown privacy scandal), Nuance has just launched a second iPhone application: Dragon Search. Heralded by Nuance as the “fast, accurate, and smart way to search online content on your iPhone”, Dragon Search allows iPhone users to search across Google, Yahoo!, Bing, iTunes, Twitter, Wiki, or YouTube by speaking their search terms. Dragon Search is powered by the Dragon NaturallySpeaking engine, just as with Nuance’s other offering. If you’re having good luck with Dragon Dictation, you should see similar results here. The design of the application is rather clever; while you’re only shown one search Read More
Dragon Search hits the app store for free
Calendar16 Thu, 17 Dec 2009 23:15:00 UTC +00:00
It looks like Nuance will have two iPhone hits in one month. Dragon Search [iTunes link] has just gone live on the App Store for the iPhone. Using the same technology that's in Dragon Dictation for the iPhone, Dragon Search allows you to speak your search terms into the iPhone and get hits from the web including iTunes, Twitter, Wikipedia, YouTube, and Google. You can also add Yahoo and Bing to the searchable universe. I've tried it and it works well. You want to be in a fairly quiet place for the best results, but it worked fine in a noisy car and in a moderately loud restaurant. As with Dragon Dictation, your query goes to a Nuance server and comes back to the app in a couple of seconds. If you want to search beyond Google, this is a great way to do it. Speed is very good on a Read More

Hands-down the best damn voice search app on the app store. Amazingly fast and accurate. Bug free product great work.
Amazingly streamlined multi-search among all the apps I normally use
Coquesmyth 5.0 stars Version: 1.1.0
Refreshingly easy to use! Better than Google Voice re: it's GUI & ability to "stretch" your search query among common social networking apps/sites. Speech recognition is excellent; what more could you want for a search? I doubt I'll use the Google bubble on my iPhone from now on...
