Gameloft’s Dungeon Hunter 3 may have been greeted with less than stellar feedback from its hardcore fans for not only going the free-to-play route, but also taking the beloved mobile hack-n-slash RPG franchise and stripping it down to nothing more than an arena-style game. I personally rather enjoyed my experience, but one thing I felt was lacking in my review was a multiplayer component. It looks like Gameloft has finally filled in that missing piece as Dungeon Hunter 3 now has multiplayer. I was able to stop by Gameloft's San Francisco offices while at the conference, and chatted with them about some of their recent releases as well as some of the backlash they've received over them. First was the issue of how they put advertisements into Hero of Sparta II [$4.99], and after an overwhelming amount of negative feedback they decided to take them out. I think it's good when a company goes out on a limb to try something, and then can admit they were wrong about it and make things right in the end. Dungeon Hunter 3 is an action RPG from Gameloft, which can be played on the iPhone, the iPad, or the iPod touch. In the game you are given the choice of four different classes, and then you’re sent off to kill enemies and earn achievements in the various locations present within the Dungeon Hunter world. Gameloft’s Dungeon Hunter & Dungeon Hunter 2 certainly quenched my appetite for some hacking & slashing goodness on iOS, but seeing as Gameloft has been teasing not only Dungeon Hunter 3′s release, but also the fact that the game will be another free-to-play title in their ever-growing stable of F2P games.
