Remember that Etch-a-Sketch case for iPad I told you about some time ago? The thing was retro-cool for sure. I mean, the iPad itself is very similar in size to the original Etch-a-Sketch, so the case seemed like a big win. With that in mind, the folks at Headcase have gone ahead to create a similar case for not only the , but the and 3G as well. Sadly, the case doesn’t turn your device into a functioning Etch-a-Sketch… However, there IS an app out there that can do it for you (iTunes link). The case itself is made from a durable plastic, so yes, your device will be protected. Handy ‘windows’ are cut out of the case as well, giving you clear access to the display, and all ports and switches. Works just like the real thing and then some. It even has the authentic Etch-A-Sketch sound! Keep it simple and classic by using only the basic features, or kick it into gear by sketching with your fingertips, adding shapes and colors, changing the brush.... I have been looking around at photo editing and paint applications, and this is by far the most fun and most useful. You don't even have to etch-a-sketch, you can even use your finger to draw. the tilt-to-draw feature isn't loaded yet, but it is promised in a free update. Also, add shapes and bubbles. Only downside is there are no photobooth-like effects...yet?

The knobs are practically useless. The whole point of an Etch-a-Sketch is to draw using the knobs. If you use your finger, it's not Etch-a-Sketch.

I know there are several positive reviews but only one really addressed the application. I found it cumbersome to use , and not fun at all, there was a free version on the jailbreak version that was fun to use, this one seems to have overcomplicated the simple game. I have already removed it from my phone. I wish there was a way to do a trial or return applications that are disappointing.

I like it for my itouch but the thing is there is a program that's for free that let's you draw With differnt colors too I can't wait for the tilt to draw and the differnt brush stroke for it :)

Very glitchy, most features still say "coming in the next update" Also none of the pictures work correctly because they are all tilted 90 degrees incorrectly. But I must say as just and Etch a Sketch it certainly does it's job, I was just hoping for all of the features.
