Welcome to Etiquette Avenue,™ A Top 10 App!

THE BUZZ…
“If you have only… 5 minutes: Check out the iPhone application Etiquette Avenue for tips on writing thank-you notes, making small talk, and getting along in a foreign country.”
“O” Magazine, October 2009

“Designed for business people who need a little help in social situations, Etiquette Avenue tells you far more than which fork to use… the real benefit of the app isn’t that it tells you how to make small talk or dine with international guests, but that it gives you more confidence that you are handling yourself correctly.”
APPSCOUT, July 2009

“Techies of all kinds, but especially those on the job hunt, may want to check out Etiquette Avenue…and it’s a good time to learn proper etiquette. Given the number of qualified candidates vying for only a few jobs, hiring managers are sizing up a candidate’s character. Personal questions and even table manners are fair game.”
PC World July 2009

Some of this I knew but some of it didn't. Great refresher stuff especially for someone like myself. A young professional looking to make the best impression.
Good, yet for $3 it isn't great. 3.0 stars

I think this idea for an app is wonderful, but more content please. Little videos that show examples would be a nice touch. Most of the content is really just plain common sense, it needs a boost of some kind to make it worth the $2.99 in my opinion.
Great App, Can't Wait for Updates 5.0 stars

I really like this application and can't wait for the upcoming updates with more buttons. I constantly have etiquette questions (mostly to prove to my husband that I am correct about 19th century table customs) and this answers all of my questions. There is a wide variety of information and the answers are really well written. Thanks!! I can't wait for more add-ons to the program, like more categories and options for what to touch. Thanks again!

One could write books on the subject of etiquette, but this app manages to distill important lessons into a clean, simple, and appropriate format. I anticipate future releases will provide more useful insights!

For an ap this expensive, it isnt nearly informative enough. Especially the table manners section could be wayy more detailed. Like for example to have your cellphone on vibrate while eating with othwrs, how to properly eat bread(it is rude to take the whole bread and take a bite out of it, instead of ripping a piece off by your hands first), Or if there is a dish that is shared, and there is one peice left of it... Do you take it? You play the waiting game or ask if the other person wants it? or how to get rid of bones in your mouth. Some people spit it down onto the plate. Some people eat spagetti like ramen.. . But these are a few of the common mistakes people make. You see there is a lot more that is left out. Spend some time eating with people with BAD manners and im sure you can find more content and ideas :) but i wouldnt recommend anyone to download this app for the price... Its a ripoff.

This has some good information and is easy enough to use. I'm not sure I like the "everything with blue background" theme. Black on white might make for easier reading. Also needs references like books have that point to more information about a specific topic.

Etiquette Avenue really impressed me. I work in Sales and am always being thrown into new situations-fresh out of MBA school, I've got the stats right but meeting, greeting, hosting has always been challenging-Etiquette Avenue gives me a polish and confidence at a convenience I love! thanks Protocol Centre for making life easier--the photo gallery for dining and small talk charts are my favorite!
