FAST is a breakthrough game- a real game changer! I am having so much fun dogfighting against my friends live! Some tips: make sure to hold down the missile to have camera follow the missile to it's target. Try the 2nd view to see God view. If there is an incoming missile make sure to shake the phone to get away- but you get 3 flares per mission so don't use it all up. Use re turbo jet to get away first. Finally, in multiplayer mode if you get shot down you go to God view so you can watch the rest of the players dogfight live. So cool!

This is so worth $5! I was hesitant at first but now I am happy! This is my favorite app! The wifi is great and people - stop complaining about flying in circles around your opponent, change speed or stay close to the ground so the planes crash! I know that you are looking for a reason to buy this game. I will give you a few 1. You can play online with friends for hours! 2. The levels have there own styles in which to beat them. In other words you have to use almost all your planes to beat each level 3. You can also play online with random people which is not seen to very often. 4. Okay okay thats harsh this game is the first game I've paid for my iphone outside of a puzzle game. It is pretty amazing, offering everything it claims, I give it a four because I can't figure out how to drop flares and the controls will probably be tough to master its a mix of motion taping the screen. If after a little more playing I'm able to learn the controls better I'll bump it up to a five. I'm a cheap sob so I'm not going to tell you to spend money on a game but from what I've seen this is one of the better ones if you do intend to spend money on something.

I LOVE X-plane, don't get me wrong, but FAST lets you take it to the next level! The multiplayer is incredible. A 1VS1 game is loaded in under 30 seconds and a 2VS2 game usualy happens within a minute! IT IS AWESOME!!!

Top 3D flight combat simulation available today. The graphics are truly amazing. Screen shots don't do this game justice, you must play to enjoy the visuals and the ridiculous sense of speed this gives you at top speed with afterburners.

Very fun and addictive. The live multiplayer gameplay is by far the best part of all. Only a few problems such as crashing or problems connecting to multiplayer. A little pricey but very entertaining!

There are alot of game on the app store with amazing graphics an detailed missions and characters. From Gameloft to EA most 3d apps now adays have some kind of gimic. This game had a full suit, good graphics, variety in weapons and planes, and finally real online play. Awesome right? No!!! The truth is this game has too many flaws in devolopment. I'm not even talking glitches there aren't many which is a + but the missions are boring. Each mission is a search and destroy game were you barrell towards an enemy use tour heat seekers, rinse and repeat. The online allows up to a WHOPPING 2v2. That's not even a 10 min game. It a world were people claim the iPhone is better than the psp why can't we get online play that's engaging. O and the so called variety isn't too varied, there either fast or slow or long ranged or short. The flying is ok but it feels like your just throwing your iPod around not like your performing some kind of manuever. There is little depth in this title and if it doesn't get some updates so you don't have to use the accelormeter for every move and some training mission and maybe it gets a 4. Cmon guys this is not well devoloped don't be the idiot I was and believe the hype, it's good but if they offered a lite you'd see it's the kind of game you play for a week then delete for the next flavor of the week.

Gets real hard at the end... And level 30 is near impossible, but beatible. The controls to this game are very hard to master. But once you get a hang of the controls, and the strategy of the game, it gets even more fun. And for those struggling on levels 28-30 my advice is to make use of switching your target (tapping upper left) when ever you think you can take out a plane. Switching your missiles and firing as fast as you can while using your machine guns will get a quick take out. Take out 2-4 (just 2 or 3 on level 30) and Boost out of reach of other air craft all the while using flares to avoid incoming missiles (Su-47 is recommended it being the fastest) and maneuver low to the ground, and around and over the mountains. Most of the air craft will eventually crash leaving you with 2 or 3 left (they'll be spread out at this time) to deal with. Hope that helps any.

It needs more planes and is inaccurate because the f-117is actualy a fighter plane it's a statigic bomber and only carries laser designated bombs and not missiles it also doesn't have a cannon. I know this because I FLY ONE!!!!!!!

i jailbroke my iPod, and tried to download this app, and the developers were smart enough to close the apps for the jailbroken ones, so we couldn't play them. I played this game in my friends iPod, and damn, was it a blast to play. I had to get this! And when the price dropped to 1.99, I bought it and it was well worth the money! Thanks SGN and you smarty pants blocked out the jailbroken ones.. lol. Keep the price at 1.99! That's the highest I'll buy it for!!!

This game is way better than top gun. Roaming and not linear like top gun but one improvement is you have no enemies and can just fly around. Also is like a space camp sim and very fun to play. And if u are having trouble on insane missions just fly very low and over mountains cause then the ai will fly right into them. Also add more environments and this would be the best game ever. Ground targets, tanks, and bombs could be good too. New airplanes, blackbird perhaps with wacked out speed (Insane mission 40 perhaps) and maybe a triangle (the so called area 51 vehicle) with crazy speed and very low locking range pretty good turning. Hope u consider these in the next update!

This is a great game as most people are saying, but as you gain skill you begin to have some frustrations. You have to hold down on the upper left enemy view window to switch to "advanced enemy-tracking camera mode" which I found to be the only way to win at the "insane" levels. However, you have to switch to this mode every single game and try to do it in the opening seconds when it is often critical to get a shot off to increase your odds. Often times the stupid thing doesn't switch, and because the only way to switch is press and hold, you are flying a bit blind and taking hits waiting to see whether the @#&*^ works, then when it (often) doesn't you have to try all over again and wait. THEN, once you are finally in the correct camera mode there is no way to switch targets with out exiting that view mode since one quick tap on the same button no longer switches targets, but rather exits the camera mode. Why can't I select a mode in set-up so I can start the game in the mode I like, and why can't target switching be done on the right radar button, rather than using the same button, or why is this advanced mode not selectable with the camera button. Secondly, the shake for flares throws you all out of control just to get few flares off. Third, I keep reading the "Tips" page on their website and can't find anything that explained the short drum roll signal right before something bad happens, is that a missile way too close signal or what? It seems they are very light on instructions. Lastly, as you advance it seems like a turning game with lots of people shooting at you, it would be nice to have a one on one mood against an ace pilot who knows real maneuvering, but I haven't tried playing real people so maybe there are some who know how to fly. I was looking for help on air combat tactic websites, but in this game it seems the key is to turn and wait for the enemy to run beyond heat seeker range then turn on you while 5 other plane are shooting at you. Then, again, you can't shoot fast and switch targets without leaving the best camera mode.

Great graphics, fun and good controls, thia game is better than you'd think. The only downside is I'd like to see more environments and maybe better missions , including ground targets perhaps? Still, well done and worth the cost.

I would like to see these in the next update: A level guide A choice of multiple types of missiles A guns sight A flare button so you aren't having to shake the crap out of the bed with my wife sitting there huffing and puffing because she can't sleep because I can't stop getting shot at on the last levels because there are 10 guys shooting at just me and I'm too addicted to put the game away. Name the planes correctly, we are paying for the game, you pay the royalties. Give us a little more than just dogfighting. Maybe some escort or air to ground targets. How bout setting a steady price? I'll think of the rest when it's not 3am.

I am not really a guy who likes "game" apps but, this one is lots of fun. I am amazed at the capabillities and realism...very cool! I would recommend it!! I did not give it a 5 star because I reserve them for utilities not games!!

I usually don't use my iphone for playing. However...I was amazed by this game. At the beginning it needs a learning curve to master the multiple controls and options. After that, flying comes as "natural" and that's an amazing feeling.

This game is really fun and is challenging. It is the only game I know of that has dogfights, and you cam play over the Internet with friends or search for other players. Totally worth $2.99.

As I played this all I could think was this was the best 5 bucks I've spent since I got this phone. Then I realized it was only 2 dollars download. Best bang for the buck out there.

fast is a combo of xplane extreme and top gun put together. this is the same as comparing real racing with the need for speed underground game in the racing genre. while both are fun and exciting, top gun is very arcade mode while fast is open controls with plenty of tweaking options in settings. graphics are nice, controlls smooth, and enemy ai realistic.

I bought this because of all the online play hype. The graphics are good but I didn't really have fun with it. I guess it's just not my type of game, flying in 360 degrees and trying to find and lock on to the enemy...the controls were really hard to get used to. If you like flight games this is probably your dream come true, but if you're new to this genre and are hoping you'll have a lot of fun you'll probably be lost and annoyed like me. Even if I didn't like it, I'm happy to support a developer who's making "hardcore" games vs puzzles and pick up and play games.

how do you switch between missles?

This app is just as good as many if the flight simulator games that are availible for PC/Play Station/Xbox etc. This game is just a lot CHEAPER than all if those other ones so those of you who are whining about losing 'two whole dollars' should SHUT UP! In real life, it's not easy to dodge missiles that are faster than you and extremely agile. The devs of this game should be recognized for their ability to make such a fun realistic game on a simple gaming platform. The only things that could be improved are that there should be a chaff/flares button instead of shaking the iPod or iPhone (as someone else mentioned), and that you should be able to lock onto targets that are in front of you by tapping on them. The people who want an update should say WHAT they want, instead of complaining and making the devs try to guess what they want. Hats off to the genii who made this!

The game crashes after mission 30. Itunes also took an extra $5 from my account when I re-attempted my purchase after clicking 'OK' for the terms & conditions update. An otherwise good game, it controls well and has a real sense of scale and speed. It's just completely broken. Itunes owes me $5.

I should start by saying I enjoy playing this game. But there are many things that just don't make sense in a dog fighting game so close to perfection in terms of graphics and simulation. It doesn't make sense to me for instance that even the most skilled players are resorting to running away and hiding in the mountains in order to make it past the last levels. Or endless enemies against one plane, unlimited missiles, no missions, no air to ground objectives, no escort missions nothing. If I don't want to go online and play against others what does the game have to offer but to have me run away from multiple enemies all alone no friendlies no wingman nothing. And if you say well the purpose of the game is going online against others then what do the last say 3 levels really teach me about flying and combat skills? I personally don't enjoy getting shot at by 10 enemy planes at once before I can even arm my missiles. So I hope these issues get addressed soon in a future update. Regards, JT

Gorgeous Graphics, Fast Gameplay, and Online Multiplayer really make this a stand out Action Game. However, it feels a little Hollow. Like it is missing something. Perhaps since it has no single player story, and very limited selections. My one HUGE Complaint is how the other A.I. Controlled planes ALWAYS fly into me. 99% of my deaths is from them flying diectly into me when I am about to win. This is beyond frustrating because I am constantly dying and it's not because of my lack of skill. This needs to be fixed. Overall though, it is truly a Blast. ::UPDATE:: Ok, This problem with the A.I. Controlled planes flying into me 99% of the time NEEDS TO BE FIXED ASAP!!!!! I am on level 26 and I have counted 35 tries and 33 of those tries I died because of the A.I flying directly into me. It's not like I can see a plane coming directly at me going Mach 2 and swerve out of the way. Or even worse they crash into me from the back of the plane. I am fed up with this, there is no reason why I need to die over 30 times here because of bad A.I. Programming. I am a huge Flight Action fan and have played dozens of this type of game and NEVER has this hapened even a little bit. One star until fixed.

Wish I had never updated it, now the level I was stuck on is even harder, my planes lag so much more, and it makes me mad. Used to be such a good game, shame they ruined it, also don't buy the "extra" planes I bought the 2.00$ right after I updated and hadn't recently flyed yet. It seems to lag WORSE than the planes you get in the game by progressing through the levels. Although now it provides a unfair advantage. Please make it better like it used to be

I loved the first version of this game, but the recent update has resulted in a laggy feel to the game, and crashes that I did not experience in the first one.

For the people that can't use the low flying glitch anymore (because of the update) to get to level 30 in the game. Lame that you have to buy more airplanes with real money instead of being unlocked. App got ruined

Basically, the entire game falls apart at about level 10 where the only creative idea was to throw a squad of stealth fighters at you at the same time. It's not survivable and it's stops being fun to play. Major fixes needed.

The creaters already are drowning in money from this app. I got this app for $3.99 which is $3 more than now. Now they lower the price to attract more costumers but they add a market so you can give them more money. I bet my review isn't going to be posted since it makes fun of "soon to be Donald Trumps".

That's BS u have to pAy real money to get planes from the black market. U should buy them using money u earned in the game. Plus the game is really hard to win and play.

Love this app there's a ton of missions all very fun and challenging as u progress. And online is great no games frozen, smooth gameplay and quick to find a match. A great game worth ur buck

The game won't even load. It shows the sgn sign fir about twenty seconds and then it crashes and exits to the home screen. I deleted and redownloaded it but it still doesn't work. Please fix it!

I got this app for free and it says it's the lite version. Only two training excersizes, and limited in everything. When I tap the link to buy the full version, the app crashes.
