Though it might seem otherwise just now, there's more to life than college basketball. Oh, who am I kidding? No, there's not. But you need something to keep you busy during those endless Southwest Airlines commercials, right? With that in mind, here's this week's batch of new games for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and, soon enough, iPad. 1. Fisher-Price games Not all games are for grown-ups. Fisher-Price's App Store debut includes three titles for the toddler set: Chatter Telephone (99 cents), Little People Farm ($1.99), and See 'n Say ($1.99). I must admit I have mixed feelings about substituting an electronic screen for actual tactile toys--but if these apps can buy you a five-minute break from screaming, then I say, let 'em tap! 2. Frogman Look! Crossing the street! It's a bird! It's a plane! No, it's...Frogman! This Frogger-inspired, superhero-themed slice of 3D awesomeness isn't in the App Store just yet, Read More
Fisher Price Launches iPhone Apps For 2-Year-Olds
Calendar16 Thu, 18 Mar 2010 18:34:37 UTC +00:00
by How many 2-year-olds do you know with an iPhone? Fisher Price seems to think there’s a fair few out there, as it’s released three new iPhone apps aimed at kids aged between two and five. Perfect for keeping tots happy for five minutes or so on the go, there’s See’n Say [iTunes link], which lets little ones spin a virtual arrow to identify animals; Little People Farm [iTunes link], based on the original toy with three mini-games and two themed songs; and Chatter Telephone [iTunes link], an iPhone version of the familiar plastic Fisher Price phone. Fisher Price is also looking to score with social networking moms and dads with a new Facebook application. The ad-supported “Moments to Share” app lets parents record kids’ milestones and special moments in a “dynamic timeline” made up of photos, videos, dates, captions and stories that they can chose to share with their Facebook Read More

WOW a trip down memory lane...
SuperUncle 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
Okay, I admit, I bought this more for myself. See'n Say brings back fond memories from my childhood and I couldn't resist. I love all the retro things that have found new life in technology. It works just like the toy I use to own, but even better. Great sounds, great images, glad I bought it and so should you!!!
CUTE

A Whole New Look

Wow, this brings to life that classic toy I had growing up. My little one will love the animal videos. It's really cute.
Not for little fingers
GaroHov 3.0 stars Version: 1.0
I like the app. I think the illustrations are cute, the video is great and the nostalgia is off the charts. But the programming is very loose. I have found that if you use it exactly as you're supposed to, it works great. The problem is that my daughter rarely presses precisely where, and for how long, as she's supposed to. As a result, the app hangs up a lot (either freezing on a screen or losing audio). If you're the one operating it, I'm sure you'll love it. If it's supposed to be a distraction for little fingers...
Great educational value!

Hesitantly got this for my 4 year old, I was worried she would be too old for it but I went ahead anyway partly due to memories with this toy from my childhood. What a pleasant surprise! She loves the animals sounds and the video clips are great! When she lands on the same animal more than once the video portion plays a different clip than the previous one for the same animal. It's like a See 'N Say from your childhood with educational content from Animal Planet combined. A must have if your little one loves animals! Just one suggestion for the developers in future updates....please include more animals! As it stands now, there are only 12 animals. PLEASE ADD MORE!
Pretty good

My 15 month old likes it, but gets bored quickly. He's probably a little young for it. Please add more animals and songs. Also, it would be cool if you added planes, trains, trucks, cars, etc. I know that's not typical on this product, but I think it would be cool. Heck, you could even add bikes, basketballs, soccet balls roller skates, and the like That would be cool too!
Two year old loves it!
Bjorn The Bold 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
She really loves the videos and the variety of animals.
Love it!

I had one of these as a kid. It would be a really nice app for the iPad (if I had one). It's a little small for the little kids. My child loves the videos of real animals. I wish there were more animals though
Great App - Could Be Better With One Small Improvement
nedorama 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
Great implementation of Fisher-Price's venerable See 'N Say, and really like the added videos - fun stuff. Downside - and this may be all IDEO apps and not just this one - it doesn't reorient if you have it turned horizontally with the speaker facing to the left. Especially in an app for little kids, any help to make it work well no matter how you hold it would be an improvement. Request - do the vintage Mattel "The Farmer Says" version, complete with the warbling voice sounds - I know I'd buy it!
