I was able to get all the information I needed/wanted. It is a little odd to use, the interface is a bit cryptic. To input a flight number you type the number but there is no "done" button to get rid of the keypad, but you simply tap somewhere not on the keypad and it goes away. This along with a couple other UI quirks (inputting/editting multiple flights: hit the "i" which is usually for information) make it seem difficult to use but the information is all there and more.

Enjoy the GUI and seems to function well. I would request 2 things before I could use this as my flight tracker.. Ability to add dates to store upcoming flights (grouping itineraries together would be a huge plus, too!) Fix the flight number entry... You have to tap airline code in order to exit number entry Also, it couldn't find jet blue... I had to scroll alphabetically and enter the code itself

This app has great potential! It works a lot like the Apple Flight Tracker widget in Mac OS X but provides more information (like weather conditions and type of plane). Pretty slick how it zooms in on the map automatically like the OS X widget.. but the map in this app is so low res that it looks horrible when zoomed. That issue needs to be addressed. Minus 1 star for the map issue. Minus 1 star for various nit-picking issues (like the 24hr time format and the plane location not always showing on the map) Plus 1 star for offering it free **As for the review stating you can't search by flight number. You can, just type the flight number first, then click to enter the airline code.

Flights could be a great app - few flight status apps display as much information, and surely not for free. But I am dismayed that this app was released without adequate (or possibly any) testing!!! First off, it's impossible to enter a flight number because the number pad won't disappear to allow you to press enter!!! Unbelievable!! Second, while searching for flights delivers a very complete list between destinations, it is extremely slow, crashed 33% of the time and then gave results between intermediate airports without making this clear on the search list. To find another flight between the same destinations, you need to wait for a new search. Lastly, a description in proper, professional sounding English is the least we should expect from someone selling a product in the App Store!! If I have a choice between two similar apps and one is designed by someone who can't put a sentence together, I'll go for the other one...

Simple to use and just overall great app ESP since it's free!

...this feels a little like a product still in beta. Needs a bit more useability testing? For example, I wasn't able to enter my home city airport, Phoenix AZ... not in its list. This is a *major* airport, too! OK, I thought, I'll just put in the PHX code directly. Nope -- wouldn't accept anything not already in its list. Poof, I can't use the app. Looks nice though. Nice info, presented well.

Need to add USAirway flights. Can't track 2667 from CLT to IAH.

As far as I can tell this is the only free flight status app in the store. The search function works well, and I like that it keeps the most recently searched flights in the list so you can easily check the status. I also like that it offers weather info for departure and arrival cities. For the entusiasts: the plane model is shown. And last but not least: the interface also looks pretty good.

This app gets very frustrating because it doesn't remember the last airport (or flight plan) you input, so you have to keep inputting the data over and over again. Also, wants you to input the airport not the destination city, so for some if you don't know the name of the airport you're out of luck. However, when you search, it does a good job of finding all the flights (tho, it doesn't necessarily make it clear if it's a connecting flight). For free, not bad. But better ones out there if you're willing to pay.

A lot of airports are missing. Uses many cryptic codes. Full of many little bugs that keep it from working right. Maybe later.

Frankly this program's AppCrap score is 1 (0= TotalCrap, 5= BarelyUsefulCrap, 10= BestAppCrap) even free is too much for this app.

The author has a disclaimer about not being responsible for the data, but since you cannot choose the date of the flight, makes the app worthless. If a flight crosses the date line, the info retured is for the incorrect flight. If the fix this the app can have potencial.

Can't begin to describe all the quirks and inconsistencies in this app. It's pretty sad when an app is so bad that 99 cents is too much. That is the case here.

24 Hour time is the standard for travel worldwide except for within the United States. Keep 24 hour time, or include an option to change it in the settings.

This app needs standard time, not the military time (18:36). If it came with that option, this app would be 100x better

Very very poor at finding commuter flights -- rarely finds the flights using the major airline code and flight number, insisting instead on the commuter's code and flight number (which we rarely know). Also can't seem to find flights with multiple segments, so if the flight starts somewhere other than your starting point, you're out of luck.

Many airlines use the same flight number to track an airplane going to multiple destinations. This application gets confused and cannot give you the proper information. Better off using an airline's mobile flight tracking tool.

I'm still confused by the times that are being left for each flight. I don't know if that's when the flight is leaving and it's duration?? Also, the time is in millitary time. It would be great to have an option to turn that on or off. I'm not deleting the app though. I still need to explore this.

This app was ok, but it was pretty simple. Perfect for tracking most flights although it doesn't show how far along the plane is. Overall, good app and great for the fact that it's free.

Needs a scalable vector map and a boy of design love. Otherwise does what it needs to do.

There are at least 110 flights out of Buffalo a day and the app olny tracks a few of them. I could never find my flights

I'm at the airport right now waiting for my plane and I downloaded this app, it's great it shows everything from weather to plane specs to a flight map... What more could you ask for?

Needs at least two things: 1. The ability to search cities an airlines by name instead of only by codes 2. The ability to select the DAY of the particular flight for planning purposes Moreover, the actual displayed info is either simply confusing or flat-out wrong. I added a flight from SYR to ORD that showed the correct time in the search results but then showed the wrong time on the tracking pane...and I'm talking about the scheduled time not an actual time. It's nice that this is free and it sure does LOOK spiffy but it needs work. Charge 99 cents and put some more man-hours into it. Please.

Predicted a 2 hour delay before the airport authorities cared to inform us. Awesome!

Need to set a date and often the departure info are wrong

I just installed this while at LAX to check on a nonstop flight from LAX to JFK on VirginAmerica, and apparently virgin America flights don't get tracked. UI is too simple to the point that it's not helpful, and they require you to enter "airline code" which is not always immediately easy to find on a boarding pass. Abreviations on the UI like "SI" are meaningless and have no context. I am a business traveler and thoroughly unimpressed. Going to uninstall right now as I continue to wait for my delayed flight...

Def buy it if you are into this stuff!!!!

I think it's a very decent free app that does its job decently well. Nothing is perfect, neither the paid ones. It has a very elegant UI and it's easy to use. Still, it can be improved in terms of UI friendliness -not necessarily design-, maps graphics and animations, and other minor tweaks. Does it's job. It's free and works fairly well. As w/ every other app, It does not crash if you reboot your iPhone. I wonder when will some people realize this is crucial before giving an app a low rate. But, that's just me...

I just got it and it has crashed twice! Also the plane doesnt show up its good that this is free because nobody should pay for it

I don't like to write reviews but this worked for me, gave me the info very quickly and it's free! I thought I should help to off set some of the bad reviews because they seem to be a bit unfair.

I could not locate any flights out of DFW Airport, nor could I find my flight that leaves tomorow...

It works a little, just enough to get a flight status then crashes. While it is easy to complain about an APP, this one is free and if it improves it will be the best value for a Flight Tracker APP. The screen flow could be better and of course it should not crash. Well on the way to being a nice APP and if it becomes more solid then it's worth a buck or two.
