I've been a long time user of Flight Update. I've found it to be the best overall flight status application for the iPhone and the developer is great with providing timely updates with new features. Adding TripIt makes it even better!

This is a great upgrade from the regular Flight Update app because it provides the Tripit data for all of your flight itineraries. I was very pleased with the standard version and this upgrade really makes it an all-around excellent app. You can download your trips with ease via Tripit and inquire about other flight options very quickly and conveniently. Highly Recommended!

I can't believe how much the pro version adds more kick into FlightUpdate Pro. I love the fact that it has TRIPIT it is so much easier to manage my flights between my GF and I. We now do it even more seemlessly. She will be purchasing the PRO version now as well.

The TripIt integration is welcome, but the upload feature in this version appears to be dangerous. Uploading seems to overwrite data on the TripIt site not merge data. As a result there is significant potential to unknowingly lose data on the TripIt website. If for example you store previous flights on the TripIt website but not on your iPhone, when uploading data the app appears to result in the deletion of the previous flights on the TripIt site.

It erases all my past trips and updates not as it should. I go back to flight track pro. This app is better than this one and uses tripit as well!

I can now go on my iPod and check my flight status ahead of time! I'm leaving for Texas next week so this would DEFINITELY help me!

I have used the regular Flight Update app for some time and I loved it. When I started moving all my trip data to TripIt, I looked for something more. There's another Flight app that uses TripIt, but Flight Update just seemed to work better for me, so I upgraded to Flight Update Pro and haven't regretted it since.

This application does a great job of doing what is advertized to do. It’s companion: Travel Tracker

I've used the app now for the last few weeks and it works well, the only thing making it three stars vs. four is the fact that tripit offers all my itinarary information and and flight update won't display or load it, doesn't seem to make sense. Very few travelers are concerned about air travel only, if they fix this it would be a very complete app.

Flight Update Pro makes travelling in the world of changed gates, unannounced flight delays and "How do I get home now that my flight has been cancelled" easy and smooth. The TripIt integration makes it easier than breathing to get your flight information into the iPhone. This app is also helpful for friends and families of travellers. If you want to know when Dad. Mom, travelling daughter or son will arrive (or is on the ground between flights) this is the perfect tool. The map function is a nice add on. SilverWare is a rock solid mobile software company with excellent (fast and reliable) tech support and service.

Currently it is 0 for 2 in giving correct flight information. The first time it said the flight was late but it was actuallly early! Waste of $9. At least so far.

When I reviewed prior to purchasing they were showing the carousel for baggage. After purchasing this function is not there. I was also dissappointed that gate number did not show when flying out of Norfolk. Also had a problem with airport name--Newport News was listed as Hampton which none of the residents where aware of nor was the airport as it is called Newport News. I do like the way it is linked to Tripit and I do like the size of the information as it is easy to read on the go. Yes I would recommend a purchase--just needs a few improvements.

I just purchased this app because my wife had a delay at LaGuardia NY to Tampa. Anyhow I enter her flight number to see the exact time her flight will get to Tampa and the darn thing so me the plane is en route. For $8.99? Not accurate at all. 5 stars app? Give me a break. How do I get a refund? Ripoff! I felt like a Jackass.

Just completed my first cross country trip. Couldn't have been easier to use, and it kept up with the gate changes. Worth the $$ so far. Glad I bought it.

Being someone who does air travel at least twice a month, I find this app to be very helpful. I had a suggestion for a new feature (being able to email a full itinerary directly from the app) and received a speedy and postive response from the developer. This app will get a lot of use.

With a nervous wife, I was always able to make sure everything was up to date. Keeping her from fretting and searching every monitor with flight info made our time in the airports much more relaxing. Having all flight info especially the terminal, gate, and time left to flight departure, in hand, was totally awsome!! Made layovers much more relaxing.

I've been using Flight Update Pro for about a month, and so far I am really enjoying it. I check it religiously immediately before I get to the airport to check gate status. Don't rely on the SMS test messages you get from the airline - Often times the gate has changed by time you get to the airport. And, if it is a large airport by O'Hare, you may have to walk across terminals to get to the right one. Use this application and you'll always have the latest flight data in the palm of your hand.

The capability of tracking weather, and the gate doesn't show up sometimes. Other than that....the app is awesome! I love it.

I work on the ramp at Myrtle Beach International and use this app daily . It is right on the money and love it. We always know when our next Delta flight is due . I wouldn't leave home without it!

I already owned flight track when you came out with flight track pro. I had to pay you another $9.00? WTF. I emailed you and you did not respond. I used to show off your app to others. Now I do not.  Also I am tracking a flight right now and the airport sent me an update text an hour ago. Flight track update just updated. Very unhappy at moment.

Extremly nice app. Received developer's response within 40 minutes of an email. Glad to know the suggestion is being fixed in next update. It will be nice to see international flight tracking in google map and some of the features can be viewed offline. Your flight tracking in google map is superb. Pls. Keep up your good work.

The overview of flights for a trip is excellent, clearly showing flgihts, times, gates, and layovers. The page for a particular flight is similarly very clear, including even a link to seatguru.com -- though it would be helpful to have a link on that page to go to the next flight instead of making me backtrack to the overview. The "email status" is a VERY nice touch and sets this app appart from others. Finally, the TripIt integration is absolutely essential for me and works very well, even letting me upload changes (new flights) to TripIt! This is one top-notch app!

I had been a user of Flight Update for a long while, I fly every week and this application really works quite well. With the addition of TripIt it is even better now, saves me a few keystrokes. Understand that there is nothing that really is 100% accurate because often the airlines themselves don't have a clue what gate you are landing at, etc. It works the best of all these type apps, just keep in mind that it really just consolidates information from a number of other sites but it does it well and with synching with TripIt now in place and working well--for a serious traveler it is well worth the money. Wish that I did not have to pay to upgrade from Flight Update to Update Pro but software developers got to make money like anyone else, the price for this application is more than fair.

I really like this SW. I have been using Flight Update for quite sometime. I just noticed they released the Pro version which has TripIt integration, something I always wanted. It works great!

Gave accurate info for my roundtrip from New York to Vegas w/a layover in Chicago..not having to check the screen for gate information is a godsend. On my return trip, my flight was delayed in Chicago. Flight Update gave me accurate information regarding this delay.

TripIt sync did not function properlyvat first. After reloading the trip to tripit from another source the sync worked fine. I'm now convinced it was a tripit issue. Love the basic functionality of this app. Have been using it for some time.

I purchased this just before heading out on a business trip. Worked just fine for my outgoing trip. On my return trip it told me my connecting flight was delayed BEFORE the airport monitor did. I sat back to watch a video on my iPhone. I later took a break and checked my status again: my flight was back on schedule and boarding!! I ran and just made it. If not for this app I would have missed my flight. Push notifications would be even better.

I am glad that we are getting the confusion cleared up regarding Tripit. Perhaps the developer will put this info in the presentation so that potential customers understand and don't select a different app. This really is a great app, and I am raising my rating to 5 stars.

Any app that reduces the hassle of travel is useful. An app that does so with features that make you say "that's so cool!" is truly worth owning. I bought and used Flight Update in Dec '08 because it provided vital up-to-the-minute travel info and I truly appreciated it. It's Achillies heel, however, was that it was somewhat cumbersome to enter flight info into the app. Flight Update Pro and Tripit solve all of that. Toss in some extra nice features like tracking of flights inbound to your gate, quickly finding alternate flights for missed connections and map-based flight tracking and you've got a ton of useful travel tools all right in one app. A definite must-have for those who like moving efficiently through airports.

I recently downloaded this app & have found that it will be one of my favorites.Not only does it keep track of my own trips but those of friends, colleagues and family who are traveling as well.The flight status is brilliant. Now I can tell just when a flight has departed, landed...all before I get text messages from the passenger. This is great for not only business travelers but also anyone who needs to drop off or pick someone up at the airport!Highly recommended!

Emailed my previous concern to the developer, got a responce from THEE developer the same day. He expalined my concerns and the hows and whys of their data. Considering all things that are involved, I don't think you can do better than right here.

Excellent application, a must-have for those who travel. It gives you everything you need to get updates on flight changes, gate changes, etc. Very easy to use, and a good integration with TripIt. Very hard to come up with any criticism. Perhaps only a few suggestions on further development. It would be nice to be able to attach electronic boarding passes and include links to check-in websites. Also, it would be nice to integrate FlightUpdate with calendar directly, not through TripIt, because the TripIt calendar feed is useless when you travel between timezones. Thank you for the app, and for your very responsive customer service.

The TripIt download AND Upload is nice.

Easy to us and easy to read when in a hurry. Very accurate information. Sync's with TripIt so I don't have to enter flight information. Not only has my flight but confirmation number, seat and the baggage area number.When I have had a question I have gotten a quick response from the developer. The most responsive support of any app on my phone.I can't be without this one as it has it all for the occasional or frequent flyer.

I spent a long time comparing 5 flight apps side-by-side. In general I found the reported info to be the same in most of them (TripIt app gets zero stars from me). My end goal was to get down to one favorite of these apps, and it was this one. I found the screens and navigation of this app to be my favorites. The right info was highlighted and positioned where I got the results I wanted with the least hassle. Often I could even see my assigned baggage claim as we taxied in. Not all the apps were equal in this regard. After months of my wife watching me have frustration with most of these flight apps, she followed my lead and only downloaded Flight Update Pro. She also travels a lot. While I'm not saying other apps are bad (besides TripIt), how information is presented to the user is important to me. As for getting correct information about gates, terminals, baggage claim assignments, flight delays, etc. this app was on the 'early' side compared to others.This app is very full-featured, including a button for finding alternative flights.

Well done & easy to use. Love the way that the info is mirrored on my calendar. So far, all flt updates have been accurate & timely.

I really rely upon and appreciate this app alot. I travel back and forth to Sacramento from Southern California frequently and before Flight Update Pro had difficulty keeping track of all the paperwork. With Flight Update Pro I've got it all in one spot and have it on both my iPhone and iPad. The app support is also superb! I show it often to my colleagues while they are shufling their travel docs and remind them how easy I have it with Flight Update Pro.

As a DELTA FLUGHT ATTENDANT I HIGHLY recommend this 100 STAR APP called "Flight Updater Pro"... especially to all who work in the Airlines..It's pretty amazing technology... and VERY accurate. One thing that sets-this/apart from other Apps is that you can easily view all INCOMING FLIGHTS that are coming INTO your gate..(ie if you are waiting for your aircraft) and you can easily look on the MAP of where that Aircraft-is-in-the-Air AND see what City & State your next plane is ... See your incoming-plane where it is flying over..AND even see How fast the Aircraft is going..AND even know How High the plane is in the Air..AND What the Configuration is of the Aircraft). /It also shows if you will be serving a Meal in First Class (great to know what to expect!).. Or will it just be a Beverage only. If you are a commuter you can click on InstaFlight and see the various Flights (Route) that are going out that day to a certain destination of your choice...you can search by looking at one airline (Delta) or all airlines. At first when I got this I didn't know quite what to do.. Then I messed-around-with-it awhile & found out how EXTREMELY EASY it is to punch all my Trips & Flights #s in. It all switches for you automatically (gate info). It can notify you of how ling your layovers are.. & give you alerts that you will be departing in 2 or 1 hours. Love this App!! You can Email your whole Trip to yourself, & Family & Friends. GREAT APP... And one of the BEST APPS out there along with: "GPS DRIVE - MotionX" .. the best GPS for iPhones out there.. which is Free along with then you pay $10.00 a year (right now) for Live-Voice right now for a limited time..! ie its Usually $20.00 a yr for Live Voice).. :)
