Big improvement on the built-in camera app
rnb2 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
The camera shake caused by having to tap the screen, coupled with the frequent need to hold the iPhone awkwardly when taking a picture, often leads to less-than-sharp pictures.
Great program!
Mab56 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
This program works great! Don't let the fact that when you take a picture in landscape mode the screen doesn't flip because the photo will be in landscape mode. Once again, great program!
Amazing!!! Finally, I can take great pictures with my iPhone!!!
iphotographer 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
This one of the most useful photography applications for my iPhone's camera! Most of my low-light photos came out blurry no matter how lightly I tapped the screen. And there was no way to take a self portrait other than at arms length. This app solves those problems beautifully! The interface is simple and easy to use. You can see the photo before you take it and save it to your iPhone photo album if you like the photo you took. I just used it at a restaurant this evening to snap an incredible photo of the sunset with my wife and I standing in the foreground!
Works like a Charm!
MsYvetteKing 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
Highly recommended!
works great
kracz_girl 5.0 stars Version: 1.1
Does exactly what it says it does: lets you choose 2, 5, 10, or 20 seconds to give you time to get in the picture. In the info section it gives the option to automatically save your pictures and the option to turn off the countdown sound. Great app.
Finally!
LittleTortillaBoy 5.0 stars Version: 1.1
Having just taken my iPhone on vacation, I know all too well how frustrating it is to get a self-portrait with this thing. This app solves all my woes, I love it! Custom timer would be cool. also ability to only sound off the last 5 seconds (without that piercing 1second twang preferably) Other than that I think this is great. A feature the phone WAS lacking; until this =-) Thanks for the app!
Fixes Apple's obvious oversight
LLHB 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
Why the iPhone camera app doesn't have a timer built in has mystified me from the beginning. FotoTimer solves the problem, is dead simple to use, and really opens up lots of opportunities to get better photos from your iPhone. Nicely done. Anyone who takes pics with their iPhone needs this app, for 99 cents it's a total no-brainer.
good add on...
Anabolical Xecutioner 5.0 stars Version: 1.1.1
I had a hard time deciding wether to buy this app or not, it seemed a lil iffy, but I took the chance and ended up liking it alot, it does what it says it does and it does it very well, I actually use it alot, not only for dark light pictures (night time) but also to take pictures of my self so people wont be saying I love taking pictures of my self, this app makes it look like someone else took my picture...its a one time thing, BUY IT!
What a no brainer!!!
Bpet74 5.0 stars Version: 1.1.1
Apple sometimes really has some silly brain farts!! This is such a necessary app if you use your camera at all!
Great for SP's
Histryboy 5.0 stars Version: 1.1.1
I post a lot of pics to flikr into a group called 365 challenge. We basically take a differnt SP each day of the year. This timer is perfect for being able to get steady shots for my SP's. Have not really been able to use it yet. Glad I found it.
Used it and it's great!
kprpearl 5.0 stars Version: 2.0
I finally propped my iPhone up for a diff type of self-shot, and wow, it turned out beautifully! Thank u 4 such a useful app!
Disappointed and why
Three60guy 2.0 stars Version: 1.0
The information about this camera app indicated "It also works great to eliminate blurry shots in low light due to camera shake. Just prop up your iPhone and set FotoTimer to take the photo for you without having to tap it." To me this indicated it would use the internal accelerormeter to know when the iPhone was no longer shaking and take a photo at that time.
It's ok
obtrunco 2.0 stars Version: 2.0
But it's insufficient. I have my phone jailbroken and using Snapture app. It's free and has more features than this. Developer! Add more!!!! For a paid app it leaves much to be desired! Check out the jailbreak app that I mentioned and try to make this one better.
Not Working Properly with 3GS
Neohelix 2.0 stars Version: 2.0
I'm having issues taking more than one photo
Works Great! Does Exactly What I Need It To Do.
sigsegv 4.0 stars Version: 2.0
I downloaded this from the App Store directly to my iPhone 3GS and had no problems at all. No issues with downloading, installing, or using any of the FotoTimer features. Based on the reviews for some of the other self-timers, FotoTimer seemed to be the only viable option for the 3.0 OS at this time... short of jailbreaking the phone, which I'm not inclined to do at this point.
This is neat
Eric805 4.0 stars Version: 2.0
I like it.
Foto Timer screwed up my 3gs
fotox 1.0 stars Version: 2.0
Froze my camera. Had to remove it.
Works great
Michael_D_ 5.0 stars Version: 2.0
Great app. Instinctive interface. Of course it would have to be because the single tip given as to how it works is in the app's description in iTunes. But no one reads instructions anyways right?:) As mentioned clicking the camera icon toggles between taking a picture and stopping pictures from being taken. Also clicking the '1X' button toggles between a single picture being taken or repeated pictures being taken at an interval for a number of times.
Same here
BENNYpoker 5.0 stars Version: 2.0
On my 3GS stops after one photo and freezes my camera!
Timer works... but the multishot does not
hippiaz 3.0 stars Version: 2.0
Just bought the app and am putting it through its paces. The timer does exacly as advertised, and I'm happy that it has the audible alarm to warn you of the impending snap of the shutter. Problem is, if you want it to take multiple shots (i set it to take 10 as quickly as possible) then it seems to freeze up... First attempt, I had to exit the app to reset. Second attempt took only the first photo even though the sound effects continued and sounded as if 3 shots were taken. I still have not gotten it to work. Bottom line is it works well as just a level and timer feature, both of which were not in the native appple app. So can only give it 3 of 5. Fix the bugs and we'll talk :)
sequence fail
k8thousand 2.0 stars Version: 2.0
downloaded this today for 3gs to shoot a timelapse sequence. installed. hard reset. continues to crashes app after only getting one photo, although makes the shutter noise several times. if you wantto shoot sequences - don't pull the trigger on this one, very buggy.
Works but...
Atomicow 3.0 stars Version: 2.0
I use this on my 3GS to make time-lapse videos. Unfortunately, this app consistently locks up and closes after taking about 250 shots. At a tenth of a second each, thats only amounts to 25 seconds worth. Until stability is improved, I can't give it a high rating
Performs as promised. . .
jmc-1996 5.0 stars Version: 2.0
I like this tool. It has given me what I was looking for: delayed photography so that I can get in the picture with my family and friends. Well worth it!
crashes
MeganB2000 1.0 stars Version: 2.0
I recommend you save your money, as this app crashes repeatedly on a 3GS after a varying amount of photos, ranging from 200-300. Not good for the long haul, same with the Time Lapse app. :(
Works as promised - on iP 3G/3.0
bazuemague 5.0 stars Version: 2.0
If you've been looking for a simple camera timer, this is it. Not as many functions as the failed glory that was Camera Genius, but then CG is now useless on 3.0 firmware. A timer is an absolute essential on the iPhone camera (hint-hint, Apple!), and two bucks is a bit much, but it works on the iPhone 3G running 3.0 software (I can't speak for the 3GS). Now you can get back to gurning for your facebook page and the pix will be crystal-clear. ==Purchased on August 5th, 2009==
Got an idea
Nalsiem 5.0 stars Version: 2.0
I have an idea for a app who i need to contact.thank
I have a 3Gs and it works fine for me.
toulouse2k 3.0 stars Version: 2.0
Exactly what I need for self-portraits and timer shots. The sequencer is icing on the cake. Now if only I could find a small holder for the camera. (Heads over to Google)
