While the tables have interesting graphical designs, they are not laid out well for a pinball game. Add the poor ball physics into the equation and you're left with unrealistic ball movements, lack of ball flow, and slow gameplay. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this game for purchase.

Just bought this game and have noticed two problems with this Pinball game right from the start,

About the only flaw I can find so far is the physics seem a bit off, but it is not enough to take away from this otherwise excellent game. Levels are interesting and fun. I hope for future updates with new levels, as I feel it could make an otherwise excellent title even better.

Game play is amazing. It is so worth 1.99.

This is the only game I've bought from IUGO, WOW! This is a very nice game. I know with the iDevice community, being as it is, some will undoubtedly complain about something, myself; I can't see anything "wrong" with Freeballin'. This game IMHO is a solid, complete pinball gallery. Multiple modes of play are offered in each of four themed tables. Seperate local and online highscores are in here as well. The entire package makes me glad that I impulsevly buy games because by purchasing now, I pd. Only $1.99 The game could easily sell for $10 so I recommend anyone pick this game up while you can get this killer deal

Awesome pinball game for only $1.99 nice graphics, game play, etc. Perfect, however a cut screen on missions to show where u gotta go, like for the tiki area, it says behind the volcano, but couldn't find it. However if u like pinball, get this!!!!!! 

I will tell you that each table and mode offer a different feel and require different strategies that add considerable depth.

I wasn't sure about this one at first, but I bought it and Im so glad I decided to go for it. I bought Pinball Dreams a couple months ago for $5.99 and although it was a decent game I didnt think it was worth the price I paid. It wasnt very addicting either. Freeballin at $2 is a great deal and is addicting and a good time waster. I like how there's 3 different modes to play to give a little variety to the gameplay. The physics are perfect to me I dont know why some people are saying they're too slow, thats just not true. Great background music and sounds too. Its just overall a well done app.

Much different then the other pinball games available on the store, Freeballin' is a nice change of pace from those games it offers a good variety of tables that have some challenging missions to complete, its got enough modes to keep you busy and get your $'s worth. It definitely could use a few tweaks but they are working on those and listening and a new table is already in the works!

The graphics and game design is so good. I'm so glad that this developer is doing games for iPhone, not other devices. Thank you!

Good game

Love the varied themes and varied play modes but I have had significant crash issues when loading new tables. The best way to produce a crash is paying in time trial mode and progressing to the point where you are loading a new table. Still an enjoyable game. I've already put in several hours of play time. I can't imagine how many quarters I would have pumped into arcade tables to get as much enjoyment as I've had out of this little game.

Don't buy this game expecting a real pinball machine. Instead, look for a fun adventure where you'll be doing amazing things to score points. Gameplay is smooth and has little lag. I have experienced a few crashes however. I can't tell you how much fun this is. There are multiple modes which make this really fun. Competing for scores also adds to replay value. I highly recommend this for any casual player who likes pinball.

While I appreciate the effort that the developers put into the themed tables, the subpar ball physics and poor controls make this a wasted $2 for me, but YMMV.

I love this game. Its a great time waster (which is a good thing). I would love to see a free mode where you can play without any goals or time limits just for fun. If it had a free mode it would be a five star app in my book!

Other pinball apps I've had my eye on had mixed reviews and were on the pricey side for this market, or were too simplistic. I took a chance on Freeballin' at the introductory price, and sure glad I did instead of buying one of those other apps. I have no idea what the price will be when it jumps up, but most likely will be worth whatever is charged. The graphics are very appealing to the eye and gameplay is very smooth. Scrolling up and down the board doesn't bother me like I thought it might.

I've been hoping for an iPhone/Touch version of this kind of take on pinball. That is to say, way-tricked-out fantasy tables that are entire landscapes, or mini-theme parks. It reminds me of some of my favorite OS 9-era pinball games like 3D Ultra Pinball Thrillride, Big Race USA, etc.

This is not the standard pinball game. It takes Pinball to the next level. Great game play, Great graphics and Great animation.

I love the game .. but i've had so many freeze ups and crashes in adventure mode that I just can't play it anymore :( and yes, I've rebooted my iPhone multiple times FYI - iPhone OS 2.21, iPhone 8GB

Now if I can just get those missions done! 

While I can't vouch for any sort of "realistic physics", it's a very amusing take on pinball that isn't afraid to go over the top and pull off some tricks that would never be possible in a real pinball game.

This is a really well put together piece of app.  I love the multiple "layers" in the levels. Very fun. Highly recommended. I could only ask for more levels. 

This is the best pinball game app that I have encountered so far. I really like the way that IUGO has combined classic pinball play and feel with arcade like missions for the different levels.

This Game is great fun, but can get very annoying when either aiming for something, or when the ball just falls straight in (I understand that it's part of the game but you all must admit it gets annoying). It also crashes a bit and laggs a lot (mainly when I hit both buttons at once). once there is an update to fix the lagging and crashing (and maybe some minor ball details EX: special effects, different colors, and bonuses that can make the ball bigger, smaller, faster or slow-mo).

If you like pinball and fun you will like this one, get it before the price goes up.

This is a great game, just like all the other IUGO games. Very creative twist to a genre I normally wouldn't bother to spend money on. I'm now a pinball fan! Thanks IUGO, now I'll never get any work done.

1. Bigger tables 2. More tables 3. Unlockable balls ( rainbow, flame, ect) 4. Each ball with a different characteristic (fast, slow, bouncy,ect) This game is amazing and all I want is for it to be better Edit: also, put in a description of how power ups work...I don't understand

But good simple pinball fun. Doesn't have overly complicated boards or missions, which I like.

I'm sure it's fun when you can get it to work, but that hasn't happened for me. After a loooong load time, I get to the main screen, where none of the buttons work. Lame. Maybe I'll actually be able to play a future version, but for now buyer beware.

What sets this apart from other pinball games are the quirky, varied tables. Each table is somewhat small, but there are 4 different ones (with more to be added in updates) which give a lot of variety, and each has a very distinctive theme. My main complaint is that it crashes (particularly when entering the ruins in TIki Trouble) but this should be fixed in the next update; even with the crashes it's already a whole lot of fun. If you're looking for a traditional pinball game this isn't it, but if you like a lot of variety in tables definitely check this one out.

I purchased Freeballin' on 4/4/09 but it has never worked on my iPhone. It always quits immediately after launch. I've restarted my phone, deleted the application in iTunes, downloaded it again in iTunes, deleted the application on the iPhone, downloaded it directly to the iPhone, upgraded to version 1.1 and IT STILL DOESN'T WORK. I've sent the developer three separate emails but after a week I've received no response.

When I play the tiki level it crashes when I go into the ruins

Very buggy on my 1st gen iPhone. About 1/2 the times I try to play adventure mode on the Tiki level is crashes and goes back to my main iPhone screen.

At home I have 5 real pinball machines, I'm a pinball afficianado, and I really like this pinball app!! And it's a good price too!

Awesome game: awesome levels, plenty of game styles, great graphics. Takes pinball to another level, and the extra boards within each environment cancel out the lack of tactile feeling from a real machine... I wish they made real pins with multiple stages like these! There are some minor gripes: physics are a bit off at times, no vibration yet, no extra balls that I know of yet, etc... But it seems like most will be taken care of in updates. Buy this!

The updated graphics makes this a great addition to my game library. By far the best pinball app on the iphone.

I don't get why this isn't at least  or more on average rating! It is a great pinball game. I have been waiting for a good one and this is no disappointment. Easily  from me. More themes is always fun, but this is an awesome game. Worth the cash!

I have been waiting for a good pinball app, and this is it. Buy it, for it is one of the best and addicting app I have downloaded. And I've downloaded 100's of apps and this ranks in the top 3!

It is so addicting! I love it so much! But it'd be awesome if there was a lot more places to play, I'd like one with a classic pinball machine and feel to it. It is the best app ever!

I purchased Freeballin' on 4/4/09 but it never worked on my iPhone, quitting immediately after launch. After three emails over the course of 10 days I finally got a response from the support team who were polite, apologetic, and helpful. I tried their suggestions but had no luck. I sent them my log files and they found the problem and will fix it in the next update. Because they were able to identify the issue (something to do with a null setting in the General --> International settings panel) I changed all off my International settings and then changed them back. For whatever reason this allowed me to launch the game.

Hey update zombie attack!

I'm willing to suspend my belief when a pinball-esque game tries to bring something a little fresher to the genre. Sierra games had quite a few good games like Freeballin' available on the PC several years ago and they worked out quite well. Unfortunately, Freeballin' misses the mark due to uninspired level designs, laggy gameplay, and touchy physics that makes it difficult for a seasoned pinballer to set up a shots. Sure, you get multiple tables to choose from but where's the value if none of them inspires you to return? Granted, if you're the type of gamer that transposes the word "frustrating" with "challenging" then this game might be up your alley. For me - I couldn't wait to delete it off of my Ipod. Now - if only I could get a refund...

Pros: Real Fun gameplay (missions, bosses, etc), some excellent graphics. Great table design. Cons: Menus are slow and crash, loading is also slow, occasionally the game bogs just at the wrong moment and you lose a ball. All these I'm sure the developers are fixing for the update. Verdict: This has potential to be a great game (top 10 in fact) once all the bugs have been fixed. $2 price is perfect and worth the money! Buy this game once the update comes!

My understanding was that when someone create a game it is been checked by itunes so how come they approved it since me and 7 of my friends bought it and the most any of us got is the menu screen before game crashes.Im starting to think that all the 5 stars been given by developer itself.Bullcrap!

I love this pinball game. Great music and graphics. Most of all I don't lose immediately like most pinball games. Also like the toybot series so I can't wait for that table

Upading is slow & i dnt like that u cant view the whole table vertically. The screen mvs up & dwn the board w/ the ball but it kinda gives u vertigo. I got bored fast.

The tables are not well balanced, meaning that you end up often at one flipper much more than the other, or the ball falls along certain paths too often. This makes some ramps very hard to approach. On the surface this game seems fun, but a good pinball table needs careful balancing in order for a player to want master it. These tables all lack that.

Been waiting for a pinball game, but this made better than my expectations wanted! Looooove the level designs with all sorts of hidden quests and goals you can do, and the levels have boss battles on some?! I mean, I knew this was Pinball, but it's MUCH better than I hoped!

I have downloaded it 3 times and it crashes within 2 seconds of starting up. Can't even play it!!!

If this is the best pinball app that isn't saying much about the competition. I played for less than a minute on the tiki level and somehow hit the ball out of the map and couldn't do anything but restart the app. Then after it restarted, the app just crashed on me. Don't get me wrong i don't dislike all of it, the graphics are pretty slick and the gameplay is alright. Its hard to get the hang of it at first though as it took me at least 20 minutes to adjust to the sensitivity of the paddles.

This app rocks .... when it works which is about 1 of every 4 times it try's to load. Most of the time durring start up it resets and goes back to the main iphone screen. Now the maker will not refund. I have to take it up with itunes to try and get a credit. DO NOT BUY!!!

I don't know why people are giving this game a bad review, it made me afraid to buy it. But I bought it anyway and I've had no trouble with it yet it's super fun, I have an ipod touch? Maybe it's buggy on the iPhones?

I guess I should count myself as lucky though after reading the issues others are having on loading!? Yah, err, not so much. I love the idea, but am I the only one who gets bored in the adventure mode? Collect candy, polish all 3 () statues, etc? I find myself losing interest and half watching tv, waiting for the next challenge. I always thought part of the fun of pinball was it's kind of manic pace, the crazy blinking lights, bells and whistles, various bonuses, demand for total concentration, etc. Anyone getting that from this app

Very creative pinball layouts and challenging goals.

I'm with some of the others in saying there needs to be more objects to hit to score points. The controls are very easy to use. I love pinball games and this has great potential of being a high 5 rated game in my opinion. The graphics are really good for most of the boards.

I've purchased around 200 applications, and have been meaning to write some reviews, but I couldn't get motivated. Well, my hatred for this app has sufficiently motivated me to do something. I was initially impressed with the graphics and level design, but this app has more bugs and crashes than all my other apps put together. One time (far into a game), the ball went of the screen and disappeared for good. Several other times the game just exited without saving. If the gameplay could be more consistent, I would drastically raise my rating of this game. Loved it otherwise, but as is, it's a 1.

What sets this app apart from all the other apps on my iPhone 3G 16mb is this one doesn't run. It crashes every time I select the game I want. I've never been able to get this game to run. I've reinstalled. I've rebooted. I then deleted.

There should be more objects in each map because they are kind of plain. Also in the Tiki map the ball flies off the field occasionaly. Other than that it is one of my favorite apps.

After v 1.2, everything is a lot better In v 1.1,whenever I went to the tiki troubles level, it kept crashing but evrything is solved now. Great app!

For  business practices. You launch an app on sale, then lower price rather than fix issues and leave customers feeling deceived. Be warned, practices such as these will get Apple to step in sooner rather than later. You'll be required to start giving refunds and you'll have no one to blame but yourselves. This is four pinball games in one, all are really fun, way better than pinball for windows, must get this one endless fun

This is good but not great. My headline criticizing Zen Pinball is based on the fact that Zen falls down in possibly the most important area -- responsive flippers, theirs have a distinct lag. Freeballin's flippers respond exactly as they should, which automatically puts it ahead. Freeballin' does, however, have a couple of other areas for improvement. First, despite having several different boards to choose from, the boards are kind of sparse with targets few and far between. Second (and this is true with real-life pinball as well), it's hard to figure out what to hit, when, and why. Third, they make it hard simply to play the same game over and over. After each game (which, with just three balls can go very quickly), the player must press *six* things on six different screens simply to play the same game again and that doesn't include loading time. Certainly an update could include a simple 'Play Again' option. Finally, the plunger can be unresponsive forcing the player to tap, slide, whatever, simply to put the ball into play.
