Gamespot is a leading competitor in game news online. Their recently released app aims to bring that experience to the mobile platform, more specifically, the iPhone. The app is essentially a compilation of the content available on the company's website. It offers video news and reviews, photos, and previews of recently released games on a variety of platforms. Right off the bat the app comes across as slightly too busy. The only reason I could find for this is the absolutely obnoxious ads that plague every single section of the app. They are always present and they even frequently interrupt the user when viewing photos. This was extremely annoying. Other problems with the app came in the way of speed.
