There have been several bad reviews of Gas Cubby lately that are factually incorrect. As the developer of Gas Cubby, I'd like to set the record straight.

Before switching to the iPhone, I used a Palm Treo 755p. One of my most-used apps was Auto Slate which logged fuel fill-ups, maintenance, repairs, trips and accidents. Of these features, Fuel and maintenance was by far, the most used. It was difficult finding a suitable replacement, but this app far surpasses the feature set of my old Palm app, while making data entry easier and more intuitive and providing much more useful reporting.

I have been using Gas Cubby for several days and have manually entered about 2 years worth of gas stops. I have 5 years worth of records in a spreadsheet and I started at the most recent ones and worked my way back. As part of this data entry process, I made several mistakes including skipping records and entering the wrong number (mostly missing the decimal point). Scanning the data, it's hard to find these bad spots in the data. That's where having a graph works out great. The bad spots in the data were very easy to find in the graph as they created huge spikes and dips in the chart. Easy to find and easy to fix.

After only one week this app has convinced me to retire the 12 years worth of log books I've religiously kept in my cars.  Every time I gas up I record the date, the price per gallon, the total gallons used, and the total cost.  Then I sit in the car and calculate my MPG.  Then I look down the columns and get a feeling for how I'm doing, how much more I'm spending, etc.

I had been keeping track of my MPG with another iPhone app (which I loved), but I had always wished that I could keep track of my service history with it too. There are a few other apps in the store that do both, but I never liked the clunky interfaces. Gas Cubby has filled that void for me. I just got through transferring my MPG history over (took me about 15 minutes because the other app used 'trip mileage per tank' instead of my actual odometer reading, so a little math was involved :) ). I also went back and added a couple of service appointments from the past year. The app is well thought out, and at times you might say 'too well' thought out. Just kidding! :) For example, for a simple fillup, you have about 10 fields to enter information in, everything all the way down to tire pressure. I'm not one to check my tire pressure at every fillup, but maybe there are some that do. The good thing is though, you can turn the unwanted fields off in the app settings. Turning the iPhone on its side is nice too - you get a really cool graphical overview of all your expenses & MPG. Overall, I'm really glad I bought Gas Cubby. I'll be using it constantly. One thing I'd like to see, and maybe this will be in a future update, is the ability to email your history. Right now I don't see an option to do this. Still, easily a five star program! :)

Out of everything I looked at and have used this App meets my needs the most. I was using AccuFuel and decided to buy Gas Cubby when I saw something on Gizmodo about it. I don't miss AcvuFuel at all. The features that I like about G.C. Over Accufuel are: Clean graphing that show gas cost over time. Graphs for car expenses, work done, and MPG. Excel export Reset option for gas miliage input. Good when you forget to make a record without it messing up your graph info. Tons of labeling options and the ability to add more. This is just after using the program for a few days. I love it and it is on the first page with apps I use all the time. Great product. Excited to see what future updates may bring.

I've checked out several auto maintenance software like this one, so far this has the best mix of great interface and features. I like the use of the wide screen for chart display. I could do without the brown color in the interface but this is a minor issue. $5 may see high, but considerable work went into creating the interface.

This app has everythign I could possibly think of. This is NOT a scaled down 1.0 app. They thought of everything. Well worth the money. Buy with confidence. This is an extremely high quality app. Same guys as the award winning Trip Cubby app. Also great app.

This is a very polished application for tracking MPG, as compared to Accufuel. The data entry is more streamlined, and it has all sorts of other service-tracking features that I'm only scratching the surface on right now. I recommend it highly as the best-of-breed for gas mileage tracking. It's worth the price right now - you don't need to wait for refinements or enhancements in order to get your money's worth.

I really like the detailed service logs and the entry screens for the Gas entries are much easier to see than the Car Care app that I had previously been using. The export feature is very nice as well (having the CSV file)

I have pretty much been looking for a replacement of the Auto Slate app on my Palm since day 1. What a find in Gas Cubby! This app is easy to use with the ability to record any service I could imagine, has reminders, charts and email of reports.

I've tried ALL of the gas log applications, and this is the ONLY one that is easy to use, fully featured and elegantly designed. They've thought this one out really well, and I especially feel relieved to know I can export all of my data at any time. Thank you App Cubby people !! Fantastic !

Love it! My lst app, Car Care, although "cute," made me jump through all kinds of hoops just to get the data I wanted. On top of that, it had no way to delete a record - for example: I accidently added the same entry twice. The app crashed, then when I started it again, the same entry was recorded three times - with no clear way to remove. It also, after a month and three fill-ups, never calculated my mileage. Gas Cubby did it all the first time! Thank you . . .

This is the vehicle mileage/service app I've been waiting for. It has more features than the other two mileage apps I've used on the iPhone. I'm particularly happy to see the CSV email export function; now I can keep a complete record of all vehicle expenses in a Numbers spreadsheet. The developers answer questions rapidly also. To use the export function be sure to look for it under the Search menu.

(11/25/2008) Try this one. They done a great job and continuing to do so. Any suggestions or reported bugs, they will response quickly. A++ app.

Really, it couldn't have been designed any better. I've always tracked my car receipts and maintenance records and now I can finally put them to use.

Well worth $5, IF you currently track your gas mileage and service intervals already. Or if you want to start doing so. This program allows you to change the service intervals for many different service types. Quick and easy data entry. Plus you can email your complete service history to yourself (or anyone for that matter) when you sell or trade the vehicle. If you are tracking this stuff already, the $5 is very well spent on this VERY well designed, and stable app. Great job Gas Cubby (although I don't like the name)

Unlike so many iSoftware apps, this one actually works and works as described.

This app works great and it replaces that stupid book I keep in my car so well! Plus the developer responded to my bug/feature request with useful information. I have very high hopes for the future of this app. Great job App Cubby, keep it up!

This is a far superior replacement to FuelLog which I'd been using on my Palm for years. It's easy to use out of the box and tracks many addl important maintenance items besides just the cost of gas and mileage. I have an older car and Gas Cubby is extremely helpful to me with staying on top of maintenance. Definitely worth the price!

My only complaint with this app is that I paid $4.99(worth every penny) and it's now $.99. I have multiple paper car mileage and maintenance records and tried a few software ones as well and NOTHING has every matched the ease of use and portablility of this app. Its main selling points are its gas usage tracking abilities which are fantastic with the options to customize what parameters you want to monitor. But it also keeps track of all maintenance and repairs with alarms/notices of when you need to perform them. i.e. Once you enter in your first oil change it will remind/notify you when you are within a established period of time of milage of the next time you need to get another oil change. If you set up the reminders for oil changes at 3000 miles it will tell you when you areclose to that mileage. It will make car care so much easier for you. Important, go to the website and scour the manual about, not that the app is hard to use, but once you understand the details and tweak it to your preferences it will become much more useful. And at less than a dollar menu item at your local fast food joint how can you lose?

If you like to keep track of your car data this is the application. Gas Cubby replaced years of excel sheets. It is easy to use and the interface is simple and nice. The only thing I will add is a $/mi calculation.

Simple, elegant mpg and fuel tracker.

I'd been waiting to buy an app to track Car Maintenance. I use another app to track mileage. Kept looking around. Heard great things about Gas Cubby. Finally plunked down the $5 (10 was too much). And I really like it. Does everything I'd expect it to. I've bought a number of apps that just down hit the expectation mark. This one does on all fronts.

I tried a lot of gas gauge programs. This is by far my favorite program. Easy to use. Lots of reporting options. I certainly like the graph feature. Highly recommended.

This app is great. Obviously it tracks individual, as well as lifelong fuel mileage well. If your detail oriented about your fuel, there are fields to enter where you purchased it, what your tire pressure was, how much per gal it cost, etc. Also, it's great for service reminders. Just annotate when you perform maintenance and you can adjust the intervals so it will tell you when things are due. Great app, and the developer is friendly to answer individual questions. 2 thumbs up. I plan on using this program for a long time!

This is a great application for monitoring auto expenses. Would love to see cost per mile include maintenance costs, but that is the only addition I would make.

I really like this app. It has a slick and intuitive interface. Gives you all kinds of graphs to look at mpg and service costs. Bunch of built in services and you can customize your own complete with reminders when to have them done again. I've tryed a few of the other programs out there and this the best. Well worth the $10 price. Finally, if you have any suggestions for new features, the developers are quick to respond at their website.

Good customer service has almost become a joke in this modern era, and is often the last thing considered by a company when growing, or the first thing eliminated when times get tough-- both of which are huge mistakes. Thank heaven there are still a few companies out there that understand the meaning of customer service in the old-fashioned sense of the word and are willing to give customers a level of care and support that is virtually unheard of today. I'm speaking in particular of the service superstars at appcubby.com, the creators of Trip Cubby, Health Cubby, and Gas Cubby. Even though these apps are comparatively inexpensive, though extremely powerful and very helpful, they helped me work through a compatibility issue with my iPhone running 3.0 long before its official release, and well before they had any legal obligation to support me. After at least twenty e-mails, they helped me solve my problem and all of my old data, which had taken nearly 2 years to compile, was successfully imported and available to me once again. All I have to say is, whatever these guys are selling, I'm buying.

This is a very good app. I picked it up on sale and have loved using it ever since.

OCD people rejoice!! A truly wonderful app that enables car lovers to track their precious baby in oh so many ways. I love the mpg tracking of course but the service and repair tracking is equally great not to mention that it syncs online to save and back up. Anything that touches my car goes into this app and for that reason alone it is awesome. The user interface is easy and allows for you to track as much or little as you want. Very helpful for catching trends in mpg. I can never live without this app and once you buy it you will wonder too! I had two others before if that have nothing on Gas Cubby!!

So to start, I'll admit $10 is a bit steep, but this is a must have for all of the car enthusiests out there. I'm tracking everything from oil changes, to tire rotations, to total cost per mile. Of course you can track your gas mileage, but there's so much more. If your serious about our car, drop another $10 on this app.

This is my second mpg program that I bought. It is outstanding compared to the other one and the developers were very quick in replying to my question. I would recommend it without reservation.

I was slightly dissapoointed until I read the manual. Now I see the genius of this app. No bugs, all beauty.
