Best
John Lovell 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
This is the best one.
Wow...had issues, but they were fixed...and FAST...makes this app the best I've found.
p-kinch 5.0 stars Version: 1.1
What can I say...except Wow. I contacted the developer about my issues, and presto, they were handled immediatly. He contacted me to let me know that the fixes would be added to the next upgrade, stayed in contact to keep me abreast of the progress in getting the upgrade ok'ed by Apple. I beleive this whole process took less than a week. This developer, Tom, not only has the best diabetic program I've found on the App. store...he really cares about how his program fits your needs.
Almost perfect
A1C Champion 5.0 stars Version: 1.4.5
Just to preface this - I have had type II diabetes for 20 years. For the past four years I have been on insulin to control my diabetes. I have also been running a Palm application to keep a log of my blood sugars and, carb intake, insulin use, etc. Given the age of the Palm, an iPod touch seemed to be a good choice to replace it.
Diabetes helper indeed...
HendrixMarley5 5.0 stars Version: 1.4.5
Downloaded this app a few minutes ago and am already very impressed. Easy to input numbers and easy to view. would say that the first thing I noticed was the scroll wheel. obviously I'm a fan, after all, if Apple does it, then it's all right in my book. Another thing I saw was the option to send feedback directly through the program. Keeping as much as possible in the program (as opposed to having to open my own email client) is very beneficial for me so if I have any questions I can just type away.
Best of all monitoring apps I've seen
mustafa_b 5.0 stars Version: 1.2
I've been using it for about a month and it works well. Tech support is responsive and helpful. I inquired about modifying the email function so it will send only a selected range of dates. They say this is coming.
Best diabetic app on the app store
Jensview 5.0 stars Version: 1.2
After spending 10+ or so dollars shopping around for a diabetic app on the app store, I finally settled on Glucose Buddy. Let's face it, being a diabetic is hard enough as it is so I wanted logging/monitoring my bg to be easy and pain free. If it weren't for such an app, I actually wouldn't have bought an iPhone, I can now retire my Touch and razr.
Great
Flatches 5.0 stars Version: 1.3
Good interface. Would like to be able to backup data.
great
aimsucks12321 5.0 stars Version: 1.4.5
just got this app but it looks great and has the potential to be very helpful
Love this app!!!!
Momoftaylor 4.0 stars Version: 1.4.5
I love this app. My 14 year old son has Type 1 diabetes and this has helped me greatly with keeping up with his blood sugar. I could never get him to write his numbers down. Now I just ask him each night and add it to my phone. He is getting an Ipod touch for Christmas. I hope by getting this app for him, he will record his numbers himself. I had a few suggestions that I e-mailed to Tom and I had a reply the same night. He said they are working on some of them now. If those changes happen, I will give 5 stars.
Wonderful Application!
Asohn 5.0 stars Version: 1.2
I love the layout and functionality. Be sure to reboot your phone after installing.
Ugly but useful
ewhaug 4.0 stars Version: 1.2
This app needs a cosmetic makeover to earn 5 stars --the icon and splash screen are absolutely terrible.
CAN'T SEE ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT
MotX 5.0 stars Version: 1.4.5
I USUALLY look for the wrong in anything i download even if it is for free. But this really does look Applesque [and you know what i mean]
Help me get healthy
Diabetic iTuner 5.0 stars Version: 1.4
I contribute much of my A1C lowering by .5% to this application.
Excellent!!! Must have!!!
NinaRios 5.0 stars Version: 1.4.5
This is the best log that I have found! I have tried several others, and this one keeps track of everything!
A really solid app!
cstenn 4.0 stars Version: 1.4
I think this is a great app. My only suggestion would be to allow for food to be grouped into meals. Right now, you enter each food item as a separate entry which gets tiring. It would be great to create "lunch" entry with multiple items. That way, you could see the total carb count for that meal and see what you ate, all in one screen. Otherwise, I really like it.
Great Interface, with a few changes could be perfect
NobodyFrmNowhere 3.0 stars Version: 1.4.5
The program is beautiful, looking like it was something that came from Apple. Couple things that if they could be added, would make it perfect:
Fantastic Application!
AdriaTJ 5.0 stars Version: 1.4.5
I really like this app and it's FREE. I have only had it for 4 days and it's amazing. I successfully e-mailed it to myself and brought it to my doctor. He was impressed. Great product. Kudos to the developer(s). GET IT, USE IT, LOVE IT!
Very useful app.
GrayWolf68 5.0 stars Version: 1.4.5
This is a great way to track my blood sugar readings and medications. The email function is useful in that I can send it to my doctor when needed and forward a copy to my online medical alert database so it is available in an emergency. Very fast and helful support when I had email trouble with app + very willing to listen to my suggestions
Good but please add...
Abyko3313 3.0 stars Version: 1.4.5
I love this app but I'd like to see the ability to view glucose level by time of day so I can adjust my pump accordingly. Also, please decrease the minimum value for glucose to 20. I am frequently in my 30s! Make these changes and it would be perfect!
Suggestion to make it a 5
LeBaron Family 4.0 stars Version: 1.4.5
If you could import information from my tester(pump) to this program so I could see it would make it incredible.
You get what you pay for...
the_vermonter 1.0 stars Version: 1.4.5
Logs cannot be edited after they have been entered. Poor user interface design. Free app, but very hard to use and I was a paid database guru so I know bad software when I see it.
Update Crashed my Itouch and Iphone :(
andre379 1.0 stars Version: 1.4.5
I loved this program, was using it for about 4 months now. However, the update crashed my Iphone and my Itouch. I restarted both but Glucose buddy will not load on my Itouch any more and it takes forever to load on Iphone. I also lost all my data, shame on you guys.
Decent App
MattySt 4.0 stars Version: 1.4.5
This app is decent. All I think that it could use is on the graph it should have average blood glucose levels graphed for certain times of day. Morning should be a color, afternoon should be a color, and evening. If this is added I would give this app 5 stars.
Good application...
mikeindm 4.0 stars Version: 1.4.5
Looks good, so far it's working well... one thing I'd like to see is the ability to log A1C values and to graph them.
Can't email log entries
FamousNick 2.0 stars Version: 1.4.5
At first this handy app seemed flawless, but after adding over 100 log entries, it's lost the ability to email them. Unfortunately this has rendered all of my careful logging useless to my doctor. Oh well. I suppose this app is still helpful if you are not being carefully monitored by your doctor, but since I need to give my logs to my health care professional, I will need to look for another solution.
Great, but a travel time issue
miramariphone 4.0 stars Version: 1.4.5
I use this everyday. It is a great app and really helps in monitoring Glucose levels. Easy to use and simple interface. However, just took a trip with a 5 hour time difference. Naturally the iPhone selected the correct time at my destination. If I entered a reading at say 7am in my local travel destination it was changed to 12pm when I returned home. In fact at the travel destination ALL times were set 5 hours back. The entire weeks of readings (about 28) were all set five hours forward when I returned home. It seems the ONLY way to avoid this is to NOT have the iPhone automatically adjust the time which is not ideal for everything else you want to do. No matter where you are if you take your morning reading at 7am it should keep that same time when you return home. I use another app for also monitoring and it keeps the times exactly as you recored them whether at home or traveling. Outside of this time issue this is a super app and I highly recommend.
Could be a bit better
Naina09 4.0 stars Version: 1.4.5
If it had some sort of menu with carb averages instead of guessing all the time.
Insulin Units Need Adjustment
Grungyape 3.0 stars Version: 1.4.5
This is a nice app, the biggest issue I see, which for me is a show stopper, is that it assumes your insulin intake is in groups of .5 For me, I take units in .1 for example 7.1
Great program!
Netraven001 3.0 stars Version: 1.4.5
Out of the free logs, I like this one the best. However, my son was only recently diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, and his bgl tends to go all over the place, especially when he doesn't keep track of things as well as bye should! The biggest detractor from this program is that it used the "dials" in order to enter numbers. A key pad would be so much easier, and it wouldn't have a 400 level limit on bgl. The only other "opportunity for improvement" that I see, is each log entry should be entered on its own line when exporting the log. As it is now, I have to copy and paste it into a text file on my desktop in order to manually review the logs. Thnk you!
Nice App! But could you add one thing?
wheresmygravy 4.0 stars Version: 1.4.5
I like the Glucose Buddy app and it's features, however, I also monitor my BP as part of my Diabetes Care. Would it be too much to add BP data tracking to this app? Otherwise, I have to get both BP Buddy and Glucose Buddy and track them in two separate data bases. Thanks!
Need to add pill
DobieDad 3.0 stars Version: 1.4.5
I take pills not injections should be able to track pills too. Other than that it's pretty good.
CHANGED MY LIFE
LAGaffer 5.0 stars Version: 2.0
I was diagnosed with Type II in January. After doing a lot of research via books and the internet I realized the best way for me to keep my disease in check was a detailed log system that was easy, reliable and shareable.
Best with pre-planned meals.
twerppoet 4.0 stars Version: 2.0
It's got a good interface. I found it easy to make entries and I liked the reports. On the down side you have to figure out how many carbs you ate by some other method. There is no access to a food list, not even one you create yourself. Not a problem if you pre-plan your meals, and it's easy enough to remedy by pairing up with another food app of your choice if you don't mind switching back and forth.
Great App.
SLO.Bigdog 5.0 stars Version: 2.0
I was recently diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. Glucose Buddy has helped me understand the importance of daily glucose monitoring and has assisted me in lowering my daily glucose average. I have tried other apps & Glucose Buddy is the best one I have used.
The best, the most useful app in the i-Store!
Jeff Hauser 5.0 stars Version: 2.0
I found out about my diabetes about three weeks ago and started looking in the iStore for an app. to track my sugar levels. I was looking for free or cheap and easy to use. Man did I hit on a winner when I found Glucose Buddy! After a couple weeks I was able to take my Touch to the doctor and show the graph and she was REALLY impressed, she said she will suggesting that her patients that own iPhones and Touches download the Glucose Buddy. Support the guys at MYLEstone any way you can cuz this app is a freebie and is well worth a cost of $9.99 and up. Good luck coming up with something negitive to say about this app. Jeff H.
Mom
Type 1 Mommy 3.0 stars Version: 2.0
I'm a mom with an 2 year old that was diagnosed 8 months ago with Type 1. Just downloaded yesterday and so far so good, but already have some suggestions for the developers, that I would like to have updated as soon as possible so that I can utilize the full potential of the application and email charts to my daughter's endocrinologist. The application does not allow me to properly enter her weight since it only goes down to 50 lbs. Also, very often she gets 0.5 units of insulin and the application won't allow me to enter that either. Lastly, I can't properly enter her BG target range which is 100-200 in the application, unless I'm doing something wrong. The Glucose Buddy website allows me to enter her BG range properly, but when I sync the two, the BG range is not adjusted within the application. Otherwise great application, keep up the good work and the apparent good customer service. I'll keep dropping suggestions as they pop-up.
Back on Track =)
turbopod91 5.0 stars Version: 2.1
I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU for creating this app. It's been wonderful and such a help. I was diagnosed Type 2 in 2006. I started doing everything as I was supposed to, logging my food, logging my activity, logging my meds... after about 6 months into it my life got a little more hectic and i kept forgetting my notepad. At the time I logged everything by pen & paper. Eventually I started forgetting my notebook, eating on the go, forgetting my meds, etc... Well 2 months ago my old Treo started dying a slow death. I started phone shopping and my husband & my sister were both iPhone 3G owners so they kept pushing the iPhone. I was so against the iPhone just because it was so mainstream and everyone around me had one. One day as I'm watching the 2 of them talking about apps & seeing the commercial saying they got an app for everything, I started to wonder... I already had an iTunes account so I went looking for a diabetes management app. Sure enough I found Glucose Buddy, and much higher rated than even paid apps!! I went out and bought an iPhone3GS that day and Glucose Buddy was the first app I installed =)
One word: tedious
Elmas 2.0 stars Version: 2.1
The app is very complete, but it becomes too tedious too soon.
Glucose buddy - diabetes help
jringer 5.0 stars Version: 2.1
WOW- A great app! I have been waiting for something like this, and it is just what I wanted. Thanks for creating this great app guys. Jim
Wonderful application
MTGMAN1 5.0 stars Version: 2.1
This program is great! Just by tracking my food, activities, etc. I've been able to drop my average glucose level from 119 to 100.8 over a 90 day period. I had a question for support and they responded in a very timely manner.
