I had this a few years ago on either the Treo or WM and I played it for months (so it's definitely got value in terms of play time). There was, as I recall, some weird glitch that only affected whatever platform I was playing on...like maybe after a million points the score started going backwards, but it didn't happen for the other platforms and it didn't stop me from loving this game. And it's a natural for the iphone.

I have played this game on my computer but it was only a free trial version and that was a $20 game but now you can have this awesome game for $1.99 (while its on sale). Isn't that insane!! I loved the free trial and now I can have it on my ipod touch and its even better! This was a much needed game! THANKS Sandlot Games!! Keep em coming! It is so much fun and def worth the 2 bucks its really worth $10.

This is the best app ever made. As one who buys for no reason, This has a reason. AMAZING game. Sometimes I find myself playing out of addiction.

Updated review after playing the game for a while. The game has the potential to be great but currently is just decent. The games appears to require logic to solve, but in reality results are driven by luck a good deal of the time. Many of the levels require that you get a particuliar type of special power - like breaking otherwise unbreakable rock - in order to complete the level. However, the powers are given out randomly and is quite possible to not get the required power for 10 minutes, even though once you have the required power, you will blast through the level in a minute. Even worse there are levels where you will boxed into the point that you can not make a move because you never get a special power that will let you get rid of the rapidly multiplying rocks that replace matchable jems. Sometimes the timer moves so fast that the only choice is to mindless touch the screens as fast as possible. All of this would be more acceptable if not for the fact that you are allocated 3 lives, with one extra being granted every 25 levels, and if you loose them all you will have to restart the quest mode. Typically, you will not need a life until you get to one of the handful of very hard levels coupled with bad luck and just like that you will go through all of your lives in the blink of an eye, and after completeling 70 levels will have to restart! I restarted the quest 3 times, and on the last time through I actually got to the 149th (out of 150) levels and promptly lost all of my lives on a level where everything was ramped up to the nth degree. I deleted the game from my iphone because completest that I am, evenI had no desire to torture myself any further with this game. If the game got rid of the concept of lives and let you replay levels endessly, I would not be so disappointed with it. I think it could benefit by getting rid of the timer which detracts from being able to make logical moves, and a way to effect through gameplay what powers you get rather then having it be random.

Thi is one of the most addictive and well done puzzle games I have purchased at the App Store, and trust me I have purchased A LOT of puzzle games. The graphics, animations and replay values are great and the little details are a welcomed +

This is the first and only review I've ever written. I have been playing this game, in my spare time, for several days now and I absolutely love it. It's one of my top 5 apps on my touch. The graphics are crisp and aesthetically pleasing and the game is lots of fun to play. I highly recommend this app.

I'd give Glyph 10 stars if possible! Choosing brightness of stones is ESSENTIAL for legally blind people! The music is BEAUTIFUL! The voice in story mystic; love that you can hear & SEE what the voice is saying, like closed captioned. $2? Best bang for the buck. I love color match/eliminate games such as Columns, Bejeweled2, Trisms. I also LOVE that you can view the game before purchase. Also, being legally blind I was a little concerned about viewing it sideways. NO PROBLEM! keep up the great work guys! Now, I have Glyphs to uncover...

if you lose on quest mode towards the end of the game, you have to go ALL the way back to the beginning and play through the entire game again starting at level 1. Very, very frustrating

Pretty design props for that. But I just beat a level while watching a movie and blindly taping around on the screen. I'm all for easy games but this is less a game and more like taping practice. Might be for you but it's not for me.

This game is similar to many I had for years on the PC or my PPC, but I have to say I'm having the devil of a time selecting the matching glyphs with just a fingertip. Used to a mouse-click or a stylus-tap, attempting to get the iPhone screen to acknowledge exactly WHERE I have just touched becomes more frustrating as you move up the levels - and the speed with which you do so becomes more important. I have small hands, and can only imagine this for men, or others with larger fingers!

My original review was a three-star review where I knocked the app a little for being more of a button masher. However, I gave it more time and I really have found more depth and enjoyment than I saw on the surface. I'm actually caught between 4 & 5 stars. If it continues to be as much fun as I've been having, I'll definitely bump it up another star. It already has achieved 5 stars in pretty much every other way: presentation, sound, options & settings. Great job!

Seems to be a lot of fun, even for a casual tamer like me. I don't understand why you have to start back at Wood 1/1, though. Lost my interest quickly here. Make it so you start back at your level you were working on, please! UPDATE: Even if all your lives are gone, you can use the arrows at the bottom of the screen and turn the machinery to get back to the level you were at. You get lives again and can go on as usual. Your points start over, they don't carry forward with your continuation. Just pick new quest and use the arrows/ turning technique. I finished aether level last night, excellent story and good fun. Now 5 stars!

It's a great game if you love puzzle games. Not very different from jewel quest or bejeweled. It also is EXTREMELY long. Also the story is pretty interesting with good graphics. Overall I recommend buying it over jewel quest or bejeweled.

Adds a nice amount of depth to the classic match 3+ style of game. Also does a good job of easing you into the complexities that later make the game so much fun. It's hard to play just one level.

Loved this game. I played it every chance I could get until I finally finished the game. Definately recommend it.

...and worth every penny! This game stays on my 1st page of apps for good reason. It's much more fun than your typical match-3 with intriguing gameplay (especially the powered up glyphs), superb graphics and enough quest levels to keep me playing 'til my battery was nearly dead! Luv this game!

Verrrry worth the $.

It's highly polished and has cool music and graphics, power-ups, quest and action mode, and a lot of structure and variety with the gameboards. If you die in quest mode and have to restart, you can use the left and right arrows on the "machinery" screen to wind through the levels to play at any previously completed level. I tend to play this one a lot.

It's good for when you are bored to tears at work. Most of the levels are Very easy to beat, just tap your finger on the screen and listen to the blocks demolish! Good sound effects! The rules are a bit hazy when it comes to the Simonesque Glyph construction, I had difficulties remembering the longer sequences but it still past me to the next level? I lived for the levels that would drive me crazy! recommended for anyone with extra time on their hands.

Quest mode kept my attention for several days as I worked through it when I had free little chunks of time here and there. Indeed I would even say I was a bit obsessive over it. Perfect for a game on your phone. Took three tries to get all the way through; thank goodness you can skip levels (though that functionality could use to be more straightforward). Pretty, clever, fun. Five stars. But. Action mode is a different story. It's nice to have a whole second kind of game included, but it's kind of a disaster. It's too hard to beat the last level of wood, and with probably ten tries I haven't gotten through fire. I hate that you can't skip levels in action mode; enough to quit trying in fact. Minus a star. All in all definitely a satisfactory fun to price ratio. If they change action mode I'll probably get even more hours of enjoyment from it.

Originally thought it was just a button masher, but the more I played the more I realized it was a strategy game! Each level adds new complexity and new challenges. This game kept me entertained on an overnight flight from the East Coast US to London! The only problem is that in quest mode, once you run out of lives you must start all over from the very beginning. I am thoroughly sick of the wood level. I wish that when you ran out of lives you started at the beginning of the glyph level you're currently playing. I find myself getting frustrated to the point of not wanting to play anymore. Why should I play when I'm going to get through 30 levels, die, and start at wood all over again?!

I was so happy to find this game on here! I love playing it and couldn't put it down until... I got all the way to the end of the metal level and lost every single life I had saved up on an unbeatable level... It was then that I discovered that I had to start over at WOOD!!! I don't want to do it all again! I already did it once!
