As crazy as this sounds, I still have friends who don’t have a cell phone. Those same friends, believe it or not, all have a laptop, desktop, or iPod Touch (since Android is seriously lacking in an alternative at the moment) which they use to stay glued to Facebook. So if I can’t easily text or call them, what am I supposed to do? Facebook has a chat client built right in for their Android client! Theoretically, I can transition from my laptop to my phone and continue a conversation in real time — but there’s a problem. the Facebook chat that is cooked into the app is terrible. Absolutely terrible. It has never worked properly for me, therefore, would never work as a solid line of communication for anyone on Facebook (whether they have a cell phone or not). Still sucks after unstalling because I was never able to login . And after about two months thinking this problem would have been fix to my surpise I still can't login ( htc desire ) !! Nice feature for chatting, but 4.38mb!, WOW, I WAS SURPRISED AT THAT. It Is the total mb, before sdcard save,why do they lie about size? Size given after saves to sdcard 2.29mb to card and it wont even work from there?, THEY should have to tell us the complete size before its loaded! I love this app, it's better than the Facebook app by exponential amount. All I would recommend is to add a manual refresh button because I've noticed it showing people online when they aren't because it hasn't refreshed itself yet.

Good but needs mobile indicator and no notifications when chatting on a computer This app works be perfect if it showed you and friends on their phones as "on mobile." Also, when i'm chatting on a computer, I keep getting notifications on my phone. It would be great if I could chat on my computer without my phone going "Droid" every few seconds. I have a Droid razr.

The app itself is downright awesome and works great. However, if you don't exit when you are done and let it run in the background, you can expect MAJOR battery drain. I turned it on and 3 hours later I had less than 1% batter power left. It was at 100% when I started it. My battery usually lasts all day and into the next when I don't touch it.. That was a huge drain.

Works good for friends that are on laptops or computers.. if your friend is using an ipod it doesn't show that they're online and you don't get notified that they send you a msg until a half hour later.. I got the pro version and didn't improve.. uninstalled both

nice app and id have rated it 5 stars if i was able to chat to friends who were using the facebook messenger, i have one friend who used blackberry facebook and they show up in "chat" but the others all have a mobile icon next to there name but i can send messages when using facebook on my laptop or that crappy fb app they have updated which does not allert me to new messages. if you can add support to allow messae sending to those friends who have mobile icons next to there online status i will change my rateing. I use this app all the time on both a razr and nexus. For both phones it will randomly disconnect after a while and you will have to restart the app. When it disconnects it doesn't tell you and everything "seems" to still be working but you won't receive messages and people won't get yours. Please fix this issue or maybe just have a way to receive the messages you didn't get while disconnected.
