These folks did their homework. I'm a 6 handicap right now and this program is going to help me get back to being a 3. It should also help me to finally get a shot at a scratch HDCP. I live near Los Angeles. When I first registered, it automatically downloaded every golf course scorecard in California from Pebble Beach to San Diego and out to Palm Springs. Every course I've ever played in that area is in there including the 9 hole courses and even the par 3 courses. The scoring analysis features are very detailed and completely automated. Every completed scorecard is maintained for easy access and automatically loaded into your scoring analysis database. The program Is fast and very, very easy to use during a round. You can even keep the scores of your group if you want to. This App is the Real McCoy! Many thanks and congratulations on a job well done!

This is my first review of any program and I was so impressed that I had to comment. I used this golf scorecard yesterday and it is awesome. Definitely utilizes iPhone's unique characteristics such as using finger swiping left and right to change holes. Great post-round stats. It worked perfectly and even automatically emailed my scorecard to me. I would like to see future versions give the user the option to keep more stats. I can't wait to see the GPS part of this program!

I got this app for my son who is a junior golfer. The scoring and stats are very helpful with high quality throughout. And it emails my son a scorecard with all his stats after the round. They didn't have the First Tee course where we play available at first, but got it up within 1 day of requesting. Great app.

I’m sure this isn’t true everywhere, but in California it looks like every course is available – even my local par 3 course. But in planning a trip to France I noticed very few courses were available. I sent golf shot a request for the courses I’ll be playing and they had them ready later the same day. I wanted to view scorecards and statistics for all my golf rounds, and I’m impressed with the fast service.

I've had the phone a almost two years now and have downloaded several apps... some free, some paid. This is the 1st time I've been moved to write a review. If you're on the fence about this app.. I hope this will push you over.

The website looked too good to be true. I read about golfshot and the pga tour stats but was skeptical that it would be that easy. But this app won me over. It’s simple to use but the real quality is in the details. Every screen seems to provide the information I’m looking for…when I’m looking for it. I’ve looked at a number of other golf scorecard and golf gps apps, but golfshot is the one I’m keeping in my bag.

The app looks and works great. As others have stated the developers paid nice attention to detail and the app looks like it was meant for the iPhone. When the promised features are added this will be an unbelievable app.

I like program very much especially the graphic charts etc. My only complaint is that my (old) iPhone shuts down after entering a score and other data and requires a delay in restarting and reloading before I can enter the info on the next hole. There should be a way of keeping the program up while playing. I do set the setting of auto lock to "never". Otherwise it is a fine program.

Finally a golf application that looks like it was built for the iPhone.  The screens are really easy to use – just select a course, add golfers and play.  Entering scores is very intuitive and extremely fast, even for a foresome.  This app is as simple to use as my other built-in apps including weather and stocks.  And it looks like it was designed with the same attention to detail.  Great job!

Just purchased Golfshot, and I'm very pleased. Obviously, the golfshot company knows golf. Live in texas and all the courses I play were available with the correct scorecard information. recommended.

Finally! A golf app that looks good on my phone. The stats are incredible - Mine may not read like Tiger's, but they're measured the same as on the PGA Tour. If only I could move my Oobgolf account over - I hope Golfshot adds this ability soon.

Very impressed with the simplicity and power of the app. I did have some latency issues when entering information. I will try to run it without email in the background to see if that improves response time. The scorecards and reports after the round are awesome.

I've had it freeze 2 out of 3 times already. It doesn't seem to like any interruption to the normal application workflow. When I paused rounds to return to the main screen it freezes every time. It also froze once after I ended a round early.

Golf shot is easy to use and is very well organized. It was definetily worth 3 bucks.

I've waisted a lot of money on golf apps and have finally found a great one. The price is incredible...I'd pay 5-10X this amount for this app. Functionality, simplicity, and variety make this stand apart.

I was skeptical, but the five star rating is well deserved.

Needs more courses

This app is perfect. Great design, great features. I've been using ProCreative's Golf 09 this summer and will now start to use this app. While I still feel Golf 09 is worth $15, this app just makes things simple compared to that app. I haven't played a round with it yet but hopefully it will live up to what I see and hear. I believe starting a round could be a little less confusing but that's just my opinion. And being able to add course info into the app is a plus over Golf 09. A must buy.

App is easy to use and really helpful. Good layout with a lot of nice tracking options (penalty shots, sand shots, puts, fairway hits, etc.). Support is phenomenal. When I bought the app there were no courses in my area, but within 2 days of submitting my requests all my courses were added! Email questions were answered the same day. Highly recommend!

OK, let's start out by saying this app does everything it says it does. It's easy , intuitive and just plain works great. I would have done the GPS version, but the courses I am most commonly going to play are not very clear on Google Earth at this time, so I am imagining it wouldn't show up very well...hopefully very soon, because if it works half as well as the basic Golfshot app, it's a winner. Course look up is easy and fast...scoring is easy and fast, it's not going to slow down your play. What's great is that you're able to track your statistics, and even look at past rounds, not only the entire score card for a past round, but the individual statistics for each round, like Greens in Regulation, etc. This will really help you know watch where you need to improve your game. OK, enough gloating, now let's talk about where they can make improvements, but trust me, it's worth it the way it is if they never changed a thing. Would be nice if their website has a video showing the app in progress, being used...showing the features...even still imagery showing details of all it can do would simply help them sell more apps, I think if people really saw more of how great it is they would be selling even more. It would be nice if it flowed a little differently, as it is now you score your hole, number of putts and then click in your other information (club for tee shot, fairway hit/left/right, etc.) I think it would be nicer if you put your club in on the tee and which way it went, left, right or on target, this would flow in the manner in which you actually play the round, but the way it is isn't too bad either. A notes sectionw would be nice too for each hole, you could quickly put something in that would detail something important, or better yet, a voice recorder for notes at each hole. You can only track the statistally charted information for your primary player, guess that makes sense, but it would be nice to track it for the other players too if you deemed it worthwhile. Hey...it's this simple...get this and start improving your game now!!

This is the best and most efficient scorecard I have seen to date for the iPhone. Very simple and easy to use. Definitely the best deal for a golf app. However it does not have gps rangefinder tracking if you are looking for it (other version of Golfshot does though).

It's awesome, easy, fast, and everything. The only problem for me is that you can only input detailed shot information for yourself. I play with my brother a lot, and he doesn't have an iPhone which means I can only enter his score per hole whereas I enter fairway, bunker, penalty strokes and all that other stuff for me. He should get an iPhone. I'm also looking forward to the 1.1 update so I can change the date of some earlier rounds I've played and already entered. Good stuff!!!

No I do not mean that this only works on a mac, merely that this app really understands what makes there app better than others. Sure there are apps that can do all the same things as this one and maybe even more things than this one. But.... this app however does its functions better and even better yet, simpler than any other Golf app out there. (Read the reviews People!!!) I have finally found the app that makes me smile when I fire it up. This company now has me in there clutches for sure and when I finally do upgrade to an iphone with GPS capabilities they will find me on their list of purchasers of their $30 version... Yes, this app is worth that much. Thank You!!

Really a great scorecard. Would be even better if you could track shot yardage and if the hole handicap info was on the front page of each hole. Regardless of those minor improvements this app has already helped my game just by reviewing my stats after each round. Very easy to use. Thanks shotzoom!

Wonderful app. Any course can be added with out a hassle. However, I got the 3.0 update and I can't seem to sync new courses. This is a large problem and hope it is fixed soon. I bought this for $3 and even then it was a steal. Anyone who golfs atleast once a month needs this.

Very cool app for tracking scores.

I am absolutely blown away at how terrific this application is. The inteface is simple and keeping score while playing is easy. And, best of all, the analysis following the round is invaluable. I have discovered things like my putting is WORSE when I hit a green in regulation versus my putting when I scramble. It's probably the lack of pressure. Whatever it is, I didn't know it before. I'm telling you: for 99 cents you can't beat this application. It is helping my game, fun to use, and very well-designed. Thanks GolfShot team!

Entering the number of strokes should be changed back the old way you score by gliding your finger up and down. Simple reason.... Everyone who used the eye phone is use to the way the calendar scrolls. So please switch it back. It's way way better the way it was.
