By Rene Ritchie, Tuesday, Jan 25, 2011 | Following a pilot of iPhone and iPad, Deutsche Bank’s Chris Whitmore says there is no going back to BlackBerry: The result “was a fantastic experience as it was easier/faster to access data (touch UI) than on the Blackberry. It was also great to only have to carry one device for personal and corporate email access.” They’re using Good [iTunes link] for messaging so users complain about the lack of background email receipt, and they do miss the BlackBerry notification light but the positives “far outweigh these issues”. Apple reported over 80% of Fortune 100 were piloting or deploying iPad, an unheard of adoption rate for new technology. For any of you in enterprise, is iOS an option yet? Read More
iOS 4.2 iPhone, iTouch, iPad apps now in AppStore
Calendar16 Mon, 08 Nov 2010 00:55:57 UTC +00:00
November 7, 2010 by Brian     It appears that the public release of iOS 4.2 is coming very soon now, as Apple started accepting iPhone / iPad / iPod Touch iOS 4.2 apps into the AppStore. While there’s still not too many apps that support iOS 4.2 there now, they keep arriving. Here’s a few of the apps that are now iOS 4.2 compatible: Overall we’d be willing to bet that iOS 4.2 will be available to download this coming week. If not, we’ll eat our collective shorts.   Related posts: Article by Brian My name's Brian, Brian Jones. I'm a professional in my thirties and I'm really into technology. Good Technology gets its own iPhone app
Calendar16 Thu, 10 Dec 2009 10:38:18 UTC +00:00
As enterprise users are turning to iPhone, Good Technology is following. The company has launched the Good for Enterprise application, providing “enterprise-class email and secure access to behind-the-firewall applications and data for iPhone.” Among the features, Good highlights remote wipe capabilities, on-device data encryption, and the ability to manage all devices from a single, web-based management console. The press release continues with praise of the user interface, which is “customized to be as intuitive and familiar as the desktop.” The application prioritizes tasks most important to the business user — i.e. composing email or viewing attachments — making them easily and seamlessly accessible. Secure email, calendar and contacts are all accessible from the application. As for the pricing, Good for Enterprise is available as a free download (AppStore link), but in order to use it, you/your company must use a Good for Enterprise server and have client access license (CAL). Good is much better...

This is one of the app, you can't live without, once you start using it. It gives you real time PIM synchronization with your enterprise exchange server with industry grade security options. Good for your Enterprise...
What a let down
Terrafaxx 1.0 stars Version: 1.1
Where are my notes? Where is the mobile access client?? Where is the ability to see ALL of my exchange folders??? Are you kidding? This is what I have been waiting for? I want the features that come with the windows version. This is worse than active sync at least there I get more than just "inbox" "outbox" "drafts" and "sent" Please tell me you are going to add this soon!!!
It's getting there
Drewtlo 3.0 stars Version: 1.1
I just set this up today and honestly I feel like I'm losing functionality over Exchange ActiveSync.
Why?
Jrowe24 1.0 stars Version: 1.1
Email, calendar, and contacts on the iPhone? Wow. I'm pretty sure Exchange ActiveSync already won this battle, and the iPhone's native ActiveSync support gives users legit, always-on access to PIM, without your ridiculous per-device tax. Good, the PIM wars of the late nineties are over. But, thanks for trying to lock me into a solution that's solving a problem I no longer have.
Game Changer
I Love Good 5.0 stars Version: 1.1
This is the Game Changer! Finally I can get corporate email on the iPhone securely, all with the dependability and reliability I'm used to with GOOD!
Good app
pochaxoo1 5.0 stars Version: 1.1
As an Exchange user I really like this application, it gives me email icons that indicate forwarded, priority, attachment, and calendar invites. Finally I can accept calendar invites and have it reflect in my calendar, and I get notifications when my calendar events come due. I also like the automatic lookup into my global address list. Very nice!
Works GOOD
CarbonAD 5.0 stars Version: 1.1
Seems to work good but I don't need the added features and I use multiple pop accounts so I'll stick with the default email client. I would recommend this to our clients though.
Public Folders
raton954 4.0 stars Version: 1.1
How do I sync public folders?
It's a "Good" start

In a company that has Good for Enterprise and supports many devices it is finally good to see this client out. There are still come things that aren't quiet there yet. I am seeing inconsistancy in cal reminders. It's hit or miss if I am getting them. Otherwise I love the mail features, onther than the remiders the calander is fantasic, and over all it works. i am happy I can finally use my iPhone and can stop lugging around two seperate devices.

No spell check and you don't get titles in the exchnge look up. Not really better than what Apple offers.

A step backward
Coyote1302 2.0 stars Version: 1.1
I was a big fan of Good for Palm Treo, which I used for years. This app is a pale comparison, and a step down from the mail, calendar, and contact apps that come preinstalled. My big issue is that you can't flag mail for follow-up, but there are many other short-comings and few redeeming features.
Horrible... Where r all the features?
Cooch1974 1.0 stars Version: 1.1
Activesync is better! Good for my Treo had features, this is garbage! What a let down..
Mobility Director
CBKB 5.0 stars Version: 1.1
So far so good. Love the features on this release and can't wait for features coming in the next release. Other products have similar features but only Good has military grade security combined with a robust central management capability that serious enterprises need.
