Google just launched an update for Google Maps for Android that brings three interesting new features to the app: integration with Google Offers, support for Google Business Photos and indoor walking directions. With the new Google Offers integration, Android users will now be able to see which nearby stores currently offer deals. This, says Google, includes both offers that can be purchased, as well as “free” offers that are available immediately. Users can also opt-in to receive notifications when there are offers near them. Google, it is worth noting, also offers a dedicated Google Offers app for Android as well. The Google Maps for Android app now also lets users in the U.S. and Japan (the two countries where venue owners can already upload their own indoor maps) get indoor walking directions. This is clearly an area Google has been working on for a while. Earlier this year, the company, for Read More

Google just announced its latest creation, Google Offers for Android. The Offers app brings deals near your current location into a simple piece of mobile software. Users can enjoy having the convenience of Featured Offers, which allows access on-the-go to daily deals from local businesses. This gives people the chance to purchase something they like on the spot from their phone. Other noteworthy features include: This is all very interesting, as Google goes head-on against Groupon after the company rejected its takeover bid earlier this year. It’s obvious that the search giant was less than happy that it couldn’t acquire Groupon, so prepared itself to wage war with today’s launch of Google Offers. I wonder if Google will incorporate any elements from its purchase of Zagat, a company which collects and correlates the ratings of restaurants by diners. I don’t know, but time will tell.  In any case, visit Android Market to download Google Offers, or visit their Read More

No support in any cities in my home state. Closest are Phillie and NYC, both are like 1 hour drives during low traffic and neither I have any reason to visit to be able to use this app. Seems pretty useless unless you're in one of the select few major cities it actually supports.
Wayne 3.0 stars
Nice looking. Would be great if it worked better on tablets though. The menu button doesn't even work. Would think more of an official Google app.
Brandon 2.0 stars
Only 2 in seattle? Also tricks you into subscribing via email on first run (can opt out in settings). Google shopper has same offers.
KA3YAN 3.0 stars
Shouldn't this app be a part of Google Shopper? It seems that it should considering you can already see your purchased offers in Shopper.
Ivan 2.0 stars
Why a separate app when Google Shopper already does everything (and more) this app does?
Fabian 5.0 stars
How there's more reviews than app downloads.. lol anyways app is good really like what they are doing with the interfaces though Hd2- gingerbread
strangebum 5.0 stars
As with most of Google's latest offerings, the Offers app follows a fairly strict design philosophy and it works just as well here as it has everywhere else. The app is easy enough to navigate and though in my Hometown there are not a whole lot of offers, it's only a matter of time.
Rob 4.0 stars
Your city is available, may be a while before there is widespread deployment. You can change cities by clicking on blue dot.. Verizon. incredible
Ben 5.0 stars
I've been able to find out the newest daily offer without having to read the email. I love that I can quickly check the deal within the app and purchase there too!
Beerfuzz 3.0 stars
Well as soon as it becomes availible here in Houston.

Has nyc uptown, downtown, midtown. How about ny metro like long island or westchester?
Androph 1.0 stars
Cant get location correct.
PinocchiosQuest 2.0 stars
Google Shopper shows me local offers. This is not. Why are there 2 apps. I'll stick with the other one that actually shows me the offers.
Patrick, Tar Tar, Patrick, Tom, T-Unit, The Black Momba 4.0 stars
I'm unistalling because my city isn't listed but this seems really useful.
Jared 5.0 stars
Love the great deals from google... and this app is the best way to get them! Never crashes, always works and is NOT a drain on battery life... Awesome!
Sagar 4.0 stars
Exploring this new app. Hope it really saves me some money. ;-)
Yev 5.0 stars
I just got this app and it looks pretty cool. I look forward to exploring all of the deals and offers available!
Z 2.0 stars
Force closes. Makes me a sad panda.
Jack 3.0 stars
Why don't the app list all the subscribed cities instead of just the current one if I an interested in deals on multiple cities?
Pablo 5.0 stars
What I like most is that I can buy and redeem directly from my phone! No need to print and all my offers are stored on my phone
Anthony 1.0 stars
Couldn't add Cleveland? There should atleast be a by location or area code search.
anakin78z 2.0 stars
Ok, you did NOT just force portrait orientation on my tablet! How about following your own guidelines?!?
Alex 1.0 stars
They don't have las vegas listed.
Kerry 3.0 stars
Oh well, not in Buffalo, hopefully update soon.
Leslie 5.0 stars
Great purchase experience, great REI deal
Lesandro 4.0 stars

Melissa 3.0 stars
The app looks great but it is not in New Orleans. (>_<)
blitzfire911 5.0 stars
Looks like a great app, need to add Evansville IN though
Rydah805 4.0 stars
But I'll hold off until it progresses a little more. Can't wait!
Dan 5.0 stars
Beware of angry groupon/living social employees. Lol It's not available in every area. Just subscribe to a city. No GPS needed.
RyanG 5.0 stars
Great idea and app but it needs more cities and offers
Ballen 5.0 stars
Not in Atlanta but the app itself looks great. Win for google
Kam 5.0 stars
Initially it looks great. I can't wait to see more vendors get on board. I would love to see more specific categories in the future
steve 1.0 stars
But I'd give less if I could, should have waited to come out with this, like when u have More than a few cities covered
Erik 2.0 stars
Looks handy and all but there aren't any areas close to me, so this app does me no good.
Abdulaziz 3.0 stars
limited number of cities.
Zach 5.0 stars
Like the ics like UI. Keep up the good work Google.
Anthony 5.0 stars
Bring on Cincinnati!!!!!!!
Justin 5.0 stars
Its got Phoenix! !! Love it
Joseph 3.0 stars
Works , but pretty basic Works, but it is pretty low on features. it also breaks up more than others streaming apps I used, even on wifi. No widget too.
Mike 3.0 stars
Ok app Groupon is still the king for this type of service. I hate that it sends me an email for every single offer and can't turn off email notifications.
Jacob 4.0 stars
Evil GUI is well thought out, but content is lacking. Hopefully this will change when moved out of beta.
JCam 3.0 stars
Ehh Looks promising, but there's not that many offers at all...only 2 in my area and I've had this for 3 weeks
None Of 1.0 stars
Why does this app need permission to record audio, Google?
Tony 2.0 stars
Nearest city covered is two hours away?!? I live in the Palm Springs area, I unfortunately will uninstall for now till my area is covered.
Anonymous 1.0 stars
? I fail to see why wallet, shopper, and offers are 3 apps instead of 1. And I only see 4 offers in Boston area....
samps 5.0 stars
Great job Its fantastic. Smooth, polished, and you can keep easily track of your offers!
Gustavo 4.0 stars
Good Start Keep it going
vkelman 5.0 stars
Google Offers, it's convenient I already used Google Offers a couple of times. Nice little thing conveniently allowing you to save some money. Let's try it on Galaxy Nexus now ;)
TheGG 3.0 stars
Lack of locations This is a excellent app! However its missing some cities (Like Cincinnati). I would rate it 5 stars if more places are added on.
Torrei 5.0 stars
Flawless!
Isai 2.0 stars
nice concept its sort of like groupons, its just not available in virginia beach.
Jake 5.0 stars
Easy to use Maybe it depends on the city where you live, but the 'Google Offer' offers me more and better deals than groupon does in my area!! And the best thinf is that this app is really easy to use. I love this app!!!
Robin 2.0 stars
Notifications Would be great if sent notifications that offers are expiring.
Selwyn 5.0 stars
Awesome Better services than groupon, and this app is faster than both groupon and google shopper. I wish it would tell me how many people have bought an offer, though.
Bryan 2.0 stars
I thought this would be a nice little app to install and look at once in a while for some cool deals. Then I quickly found that the app sends notifications to my phone that I CANNOT turn off. At 6:00 AM. No thanks.
Trent 4.0 stars
The closest large city to me is Minneapolis I go there maybe twice a year I like how convent this app is and the deals are great but christ I don't need 30,000 emails a day
Tony 1.0 stars
Good deals, just got a screaming deal on paintball. BUT...how the hell do you change location? ridiculous, even un-subscribed to one city, hoping it would force the other, didn't work, still kept local offers only. People do travel...
Rosalie 5.0 stars
When I first signed up for Google Offers, I was expecting to find a few deals here and there to save a little money, but I wasn't prepared for just how many Offers there are for things I actually can use, or the amount of money I've been saving is phenominal! I signed up for offers in my hometown, and also for the area in FL where we vacation. So far we've taken a dolphin seeing boat tour and saved $30 for the two of us on that alone. It was amazing! I got my hair washed, cut, styled, and pampered with a luxurious silkening treatment at a premiere salon for just $20...a savings. With additional discounts on the hair product I purchased to take home, I saved more than $80 on that one offer!! We've gotten free food, drinks, paid next to nothing for off airport valet car parking for a week and on and on. There's never been any "catch" either, just great deals . I'm very happy. Keep the offers coming Google!
JoeMaMa 4.0 stars
Unfortunately I was unable to locate local offers, only those miles away. I only see this improving as time progresses.
Mr. Riggs 2.0 stars
Firstly, the deals aren't very compelling, which is further compounded by the pain in the butt notifications, which I am still receiving despite having turned them off. wtf, google? Droid X.
Brendan 1.0 stars
until you have one, this app will remain uninstalled
Brian 2.0 stars
But no company I've bought deals to so far allows me to use the mobile app as payment, even though there's an easy way to do so. It's nice to keep up on the deals, but without the ability to use them from my phone the app is kinda pointless.
cyberop5 3.0 stars
Consistently pops up a new notification for offers with no [working] way to disable the feature.
Ryan 3.0 stars
Google shopper includes the same thing, but shopper has more features. Why bother with this app?
donwon21 1.0 stars
Google has very good products. But this is a prime example of where they go wrong. The text that they use in their applications is too small it needs to be adjusted or the user needs to be able to Make these adjustments. I would rather give my money to Google then groupon anyday. But I installed this product and as soon as I saw how small it was I uninstall it and that's that.
dbschuler 3.0 stars
I don't want to get woken up by a notification I can't turn off to buy fruit gift baskets. Uninstalled for now.
Mike 3.0 stars
Groupon is still the king for this type of service. I hate that it sends me an email for every single offer and can't turn off email notifications.
Geoffrey 2.0 stars
I like this. But wish it was based on my current location rather than city.
Jake 5.0 stars
Maybe it depends on the city where you live, but the 'Google Offer' offers me more and better deals than groupon does in my area!! And the best thinf is that this app is really easy to use. I love this app!!!
Brian 5.0 stars
I used it twice and already saved $15. Awesome! Thank you Google!
Niel 2.0 stars
Why am I getting notifications when in settings I have notifications deselected? Hmmmm... UNINSTALLED
amadigan 1.0 stars
The menu won't open on my Galaxy Tab 7.0 plus, and therefore I can't access the settings to disable the (very annoying) notification sound. I'm uninstalling this, and I probably won't use Google Offers without this app.
Kevin 4.0 stars
Its okay But it only has offers for tourist places in Los Angeles. Cmon Google, L.A. isn't just Hollywood! Stop giving West L.A. all the love!!!!
Stephen 2.0 stars
It installs but doesn't create a shortcut
Ben Tobin 3.0 stars
Menu doesn't work on tablets. Can't change settings, such as turning off notifications.
Paul 1.0 stars
There's a setting to turn off notifications, but it has no effect - they come if its checked or not.
DatzME 4.0 stars
I don't need notification AND emails of new offers need to be able to disable emails when you choose your subscriptions
Kieth 5.0 stars
I give five stars
Eric 5.0 stars
I'm in!
Selwyn 5.0 stars
Better services than groupon, and this app is faster than both groupon and google shopper. I wish it would tell me how many people have bought an offer, though.
Anthony 3.0 stars
I live in sacramento, California and it puts my city as Atlanta, Georgia
Shirley 2.0 stars
Not very useful if you can't redeem offers through the app. It simply tells you to go to the google offers website via your browser. Going to uninstall.
Julian 1.0 stars
Notifications won't turn off, even after uninstalling the app. Also my email inbox is bombarded daily with the offers. I was hoping the app would be slightly less virus/spam like. Very disappointed.
John 4.0 stars
I haven't used a deal yet, but glad to know they are there. The map feature is great.
Dustin 5.0 stars
Cool
Srini 1.0 stars
Doesn't show my purchased offers so i have to print every time. App couldn't located me and neither would it let me add a new city to my subscriptions. Most actions end up in an error page. Google has way too many sub-standard apps at this point. Why can't they produce a few quality ones instead of flooding the marketplace with crap?
DJBLUE 4.0 stars
Like the app, please add pomona ca. Or inland Empire please.
Jacob 4.0 stars
Oh I hope this app is what opens when I get an email and click on an offer so I don't have to close the internet and go to this app.
Aaron 2.0 stars
Useless. Better off on the website. Though I could redeem via the app but have to go to the website. No advantage to app
Brian 2.0 stars
Otherwise I don't get much use out of the app
cazi007 3.0 stars
I'm in Long Beach, CA and haven't been overwhelmed by the variety or quantity of offers in my area. But it's cool and I'm anticipating that it'll improve.
Jugg 3.0 stars
Offers different deals though. What's confusing is that why didn't they just add this functionality into google shopper instead of making a whole new app???
Paul 2.0 stars
I just purchased the Starbucks deal and discovered that I cannot directly redeem through this app. Fail. What's the point of an app if you have to open the web browser to properly display the redemption page? This needs to be corrected.
Oscar 1.0 stars
Sends me a notifications for new deals at 5am...
jason 3.0 stars
But this app is slow as molasses to load.
hank 1.0 stars
I disabled the beep and vibrate notifications, but it beeped at the ungodly hour this morning. Uninstall.
Robin 2.0 stars
Would be great if sent notifications that offers are expiring.
Joseph 3.0 stars
Works, but it is pretty low on features. it also breaks up more than others streaming apps I used, even on wifi. No widget too.
JaySee 4.0 stars
Gives me some great deals on all the big cities I travel to. Who doesn't like saving money? Check it out!
David 2.0 stars
I installed Google Offers on a Saturday. On Sunday morning at 7AM it made noises and woke me up. I'm not sure if its the same time everyday or not, but it should bring up a notification later in the day.
Scott 1.0 stars
Unavailable in New Orleans, Covington, Mandeville, Slidell. Uninstalling.
Aaron Echols 2.0 stars
Was working well until a recent update, will not sign in any longer. I have cleared data/cache, deleted and re-installed the app, to no avail. I liked the app otherwise, it works well here in Phoenix.
TheGG 3.0 stars
This is a excellent app! However its missing some cities (Like Cincinnati). I would rate it 5 stars if more places are added on.
Heather 2.0 stars
No offers in the state I live in. Tried both major cities Kansas city and St Louis
hunter 5.0 stars
Perfect for Orlando
MattyB 5.0 stars
Thank you.
Nathaniel 4.0 stars
to many notifications. good deals though
Dell 5.0 stars
I get some good and USEFUL offers here, compared to ones from other services.
dajhorn 2.0 stars
The apps works, but the Google Offers are boring and most vendors try to weasel out of the deals with things like service charges for redeeming a coupon.
Lou 1.0 stars
Authentication failed. Uninstalled.
Scott 5.0 stars
This is a great service just like Groupon. The app works perfectly and even sends notifications to your phone.
kassendra 5.0 stars
Great app
Justin 3.0 stars
Settings button doesn't work on Xoom with ics
Neale 4.0 stars
Since I'm not traveling it's just as easy to work off the daily email and the web.. a little more battery at the end of the day
Dan 1.0 stars
Nothing available for either Springfield, MA, nor Hartford, CT, along the RT 91 corridor. Buh!
Mel 1.0 stars
Add hartford, Connecticut
Steve 1.0 stars
No Chicago, Milwaukee, Los Angeles, St Louis, Orlando. I went through the whole list. Around 5 cities work. Also REDUNDANT. Google Shopper is better.
Purplenv 5.0 stars
Great UI. lol at the people complaining about only one offer. Offers are released daily, and today is the first day... As far as supported regions, to get companies interested, they need to have the app available to the public first. I'm sure the areas and offers will improve quickly.
JC 4.0 stars
This is being overdone. The Pretty soon there won't be anything special about them. 4 stars for a good and familiar app... Already in Shopping app
Riq 5.0 stars
Great app, those complaining it doesn't have all the cities, this is made for the poeple that have google offers in their city. They will add more soon
Ilya 1.0 stars
I fail to see why wallet, shopper, and offers are 3 apps instead of 1. And I only see 4 offers in Boston area....
yodamuppet 2.0 stars
I'm having a hard time understanding why this wasn't just integrated into Google Shopper, since some of the functionality is duplicated. I also don't understand why this app was even launched when there's extremely limited support for cities across the U.S. There's only one offer available where I live in Salt Lake City (we hosted the Olympics! LOL), and it's only there because the offer is for a national chain store. Right now, the only thing going for Google Offers is the decent UI.
Razloga 5.0 stars
I can use this instead of getting emails and setting up filters for them.. Portland was one of the first to get Google Offers, many are wanting it for their cities as well. I for one am happy with it. There have been some great deals, a few of which I have partaken in, and some of which I forwarded to friends.. Keep on keeping on, Google!!!
Melissa 1.0 stars
Doesn't accept my gmail password. Says it changed, but I was just able to login to gmail using my password.
samps 5.0 stars
Its fantastic. Smooth, polished, and you can keep easily track of your offers!
Dan 1.0 stars
Why do I have to download the app to find out that it's worthless within 300 miles of me?
Martin 1.0 stars
This is a pathetic me, me, me from Google as Groupon goes public. We expect more Google! Come back when app is populated.
Asha 3.0 stars
One offer in Miami?! Gimme a break. Use Groupon for the same lameness.
Tony 1.0 stars
Most of the features of this are also integrated into Shopper and Wallet. I fail to see why we need 3 separate apps.
Steve 2.0 stars
I live in NY so there are offers available to me but why should I use this when google shopper already has offers? Oops, I mean deals
JCam 3.0 stars
Looks promising, but there's not that many offers at all...only 2 in my area and I've had this for 3 weeks
AJ 1.0 stars
Pointless if you dont live in a major city. Should be integrated with Google Shopper. Fix for better rating.
JoeD 1.0 stars
Annoyed at the moment as I just 10 minutes with no luck. The app is installed (Droid-1). My account shows up in the app, but when i try to sign in authentication fails. Tried to refresh by re-adding my account but got message that account already exists on my phone -- DUH. Anybody have any suggestions?
Gary 1.0 stars
no way to access settings on a tf101 tablet running ics. pressing settings button does nothing. can't configure notifications, so every day it makes annoying notifications sounds. on mytouch 4g running gingerbread, am able to access settings ok and configure notifications. google hasn't updated this app in awhile, why are they taking so long to fix this, there are a long list of complaints about this!
Jeromie 1.0 stars
Why is there no way to reedem from the application? Not even a hyperlink. Unistalling now...
Alexey 1.0 stars
Unexpected wake up call early in the morning?!?!
Jean Philippe 1.0 stars
The application does not allow to redeem offers.
John 1.0 stars
Not able to navigate? Poor app.
Chris 4.0 stars
if you are familiar with Android navigating this app is not a problem as dome suggest. I find better deals from offers than I do groupon or living social.
