Our refrigerators are becoming increasingly bare with the decrease in travel postcards and increase in Facebook photo uploads. There are several easy to use and extremely inexpensive apps to document special moments in life and share it via snail mail, email, or social media–and sometimes all of the above. In the ecosystem of the App Store, the postcard-sending app occupies a healthy niche; about two pagefuls -- 60 apps -- show up in the store, for a category weighting of 0.125 flatulans. The flatulan, of course, is the unit of measurement of App Store penetration, equaling the 480 individual apps that include the word 'fart' somewhere in their description. Among those postcard apps, there are several standouts for virtual cards (ADA winner Postage, for example) and even a few that let you send physical postcards for a small fee (TapTapCards, goPostal and Postino). With Postman (iTunes link/website), released today by Freeverse and Taptivate for $0.99 for iPhone OS 3.0 devices, the postcard-sending app category gets a social media boost. Postman lets you deliver your two-sided ecards (yes, the app gives you the option of simulating the back of a traditional postcard, complete with stamp graphic) via Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr, email, Read More

Better than expected

I had to try twice to get my photo uploaded, but other than that the process went very smoothly. I just received my postcard and it is a very high quality print. Highly recommended!

Great Looking Cards
Three_putt 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
I found this really easy to use. What pleased me the most, though, is that the cards themselves look awesome. They really do look like a post card that I might have bought in the store, except, of course, they had my kid's picture on it.
Wansnt able to upload

Outstanding app!

The only bad thing people are saying about this app seems to be about the upload speed. I've tried uploading pictures from edge, 3g, and wifi networks, and never been given the slightest reason to complain. The cards that arrive are easily as high quality as anything you could buy for a buck or two in a gift shop, but personalized! Get this app and try it out!! One word of warning- if you're in an underground parking structure with one bar on edge and a sudden and urgent need to send someone a postcard, maybe think for half a second and wait a few minutes to try uploading your picture? Then you should avoid the problems other reviewers are describing and have the outstanding experience this app is capable of providing.
Fun app Cool idea

This app is fun and easy to use. The cards look great. People are always surprised when they get them in the mail. I've used it a lot - it's a great way to stay in touch.
Very cool!

It works. Took a picture of my kids baseball opening day with iPhone and used it to make postcard. Sent it to myself for a test run. There was one hick-up. 3 days later I got a message that the receipent address was corrupted and to please enter it again. Once the address was updated it was just a few days later until we got the postcard. I'm impressed and will be using it again. The message also stated the address problem was being corrected. I hope so, because this thing is awesome and a good value for the custom card and postage only $1.29, That's a good deal.
Great quality

I had no problems uploading my photo, and the postcard arrived four days later. It is very high quality, as others have said. Highly recommended! My only wishlist items would be (1) the ability to "move and scale" my photo, just like I can do with the photo I select for my device's wallpaper, and (2) the ability to see the status of my orders, and perhaps edit any that haven't already been printed.
Wow!

I just got the postcard I sent myself... It looked great! I love it! Perfectly priced, too.
freakin' brilliant!

Went out with my girlfriend's parent and on the car ride back sent them a postcard from the day. Showed up a few days later to their great suprise. Picture was suprisingly high quality. Only complaint is that the message was cut off. Only the first few words showed up. Not sure why. Surprised this isn't more popular yet. I will use it a lot (but please fix the text!)
Poor customer service

I was the show chair for a recent dog show - I uploaded the "win" pics and sent them to the winners denoting "CONGRATULATIONS ...." and everyone was very impressed! They got the pics before the professional photographer sent them so they had something to brag with! Great idea!!!!
Love, love, love it!!
rhonnyr 5.0 stars Version: 1.0.1
First I sent a random photo to myself...super easy and turned out great. Now I am using it for "thank you" cards for my sons's birthday party. I always like to send a pic and what a reasonably priced way to do so!!!!! There are so many uses! Thanks for the ap!
Amazing app!!

first post cards
Sombutnotal 4.0 stars Version: 1.0.1
This is such a great idea! Unfortunately, my iPhone is an early version and that makes uploading and downloading very slow especially when I am on the road which is where I want to use GoPostal. Postcards were eventually sent and after multiple trys goPostal accepted my credit card so I could send.
Why no international postage
Thai fan 1.0 stars Version: 1.0.1
What's the point of this application, if you can't send postcards internationly. Not everyones friends or relatives lives in the USA. I am sure there are apps that do this. Accounts Log O
Disappointing
Backgammon Junkie 2.0 stars Version: 1.0.1
I sent a card to congratulate someone on the birth of their baby. Eventually, I learned that they received it, but had no idea who it was from. It didn't include my name!!! What's the sense? Needs major improvements.
