99 Awesome iPhone & iPad Apps You Must Download
Calendar16 Thu, 29 Apr 2010 21:56:43 UTC +00:00
Posted 04/29/2010 at 1:56pm | by Ray Aguilera With 185,000 apps and counting, the App Store is a vast warehouse of digital goodies for your iPhone (and now iPad too). But like most mega-marts, the sheer size of it all makes the good stuff harder to find. We’ve scoured the Store, and found the best apps to help you use your iPhone to it’s fullest potential. Whether it’s games you seek, or productivity tools, we’ve got you covered. As it turns out, there really is an app for that, no matter what that is. The iPhone and iPod touch brought back fun to videogaming, with developers focussing on innovation, affordability, and novelty. Touchscreen and accelerometer controls also force designers to think different, resulting in games that are a glorious collision of classic and cutting-edge gameplay and technology. --Craig Grannell Steph Thirion · $2.99 Eliss is the perfect game for the iPhone’s Read More

**This is APPVENT CALENDAR FEATURED game for Dec 8!** No Monkeys delivers a super addictive eco-friendly puzzle that’s easy to learn, but difficult to master. Do you think you have a green thumb? Prove it in Green Fingers, the exciting new puzzle game from No Monkeys.  Swap the flower pots to collect the correct item for your flowers and watch them grow. Test your dexterity and puzzle skills in this original and fun game that is available exclusively for the iPhone and iPod Touch. My Take Another 99 cent good FREE puzzle game!  I will say it’s similar to Yoshi’s Cookie on the NES.  So the only difference in the game is the themes, Yoshi being the Mario World theme. With Green Fingers, your growing flowers and lining up bees, and with better touch controls.  It’s a definite casual game, meaning it’s not meant to be too deep. Given it’s using Read More

Gamer’s Corner: Craving New Games?
Calendar16 Wed, 02 Sep 2009 12:05:39 UTC +00:00
Tired of playing all those old apps you downloaded last week? Looking for something exciting and new because there’s only so many times you can play Flight Control or Tetris? You’re not the only one. In fact, we all want more games. We want them so badly that games have practically taken over the entire App Store. Don’t believe me? Fact time… As of right now, there are 34 game applications in the Top 25 category of the App Store. That means well over half of the Top Paid applications in the App Store are just games alone. Currently the number one app… Geared. A game that came out only three weeks ago. Climbing up the charts is Alive 4-Ever, which was released only a few days ago. I’ve started to notice a trend where the minute a new game is released, depending on if people know about it or not Read More

Green Fingers worth a green back
Djflippy 4.0 stars Version: 1.0.0
This is a nice new game by No Monkeys, the developers of Alphabetic (which I highly recommend, BTW). The goal of the game is to line up appropriately tagged flowerpots with the corresponding item falling from the sky, such as water, sun, and seeds. The player simply taps the first flowerpot, it highlights, and then when a second flowerpot is tapped, they swap positions. Each correct hit provides points, which can be increased by quick hits in succession into the same pot, tapping the falling item (speeding its descent), and by finishing multiple flowers simultaneously.
Easy to learn, hard to master
JPDeckers 5.0 stars Version: 1.0.0
Darn, this is addictive...
Addicting and fun!
Twanno 5.0 stars Version: 1.0.0
I found myself trying to beat my score over and over again. This game is very addicting.
Windowsill Gardening for Fun and Points!
Lord Gek 5.0 stars Version: 1.0.0
Your primary objective is to line up the pots so they're ready for the appropriate falling item, mess this up only once and the game ends (if the pot now needs sun and you dump in another bag of dirt, you lose).
Brilliant
xgarriga 5.0 stars Version: 1.0.0
One of the best fun and addictive game of the appstore. Excelent graphics, magnfic gameplay. And preciss controls. Worth 9,99 $
Great app

How Will Your Garden Grow?
LoobyLibby 5.0 stars Version: 1.0.0
At my rate, not very much as just 1 mistake and it's all over . But my goodness is this a great game! There really is more than meets the eye when playing. Not only must you match the items falling from above, one must ensure growth by nurturing the seeds once planted, or you'll end up completing a level without many blooms. Extremely polished, original gameplay, unlockable achievements, online leaderboards, pretty graphics = . Note to the Devs: please add a mode where one mistake doesn't end everything and it's back to the beginning 
Fun game with NO room for error!
EddyGeez! 5.0 stars Version: 1.0.0
This is a fun -- and addicting -- game. It is pretty easy to "pick up and play" (except I keep wanting to drag the items that are dropping ala Tetris instead of flipping the pots around!) but I have a feeling there is some strategy involved that I haven't figured out yet -- some of the scores on OpenFeint are ridiculously high already! And since you can't make even ONE mistake, it's definitely a challenging game! Kudos to the devs; definitely worth 99¢. One thing I'd like to see is a bit more in-depth explanation of scoring bonuses and such.
Fun 'n' Simple, All I Ask For A Dollar
Eggzbacon 5.0 stars Version: 1.0.0
Pros:
Easy to learn, hard to master but fun all the way! :)
LiveTouch 5.0 stars Version: 1.0.0
While main puzzle games will allow you to direct the falling pieces to match the pre-existing structure, Green Fingers works the other way around. The falling pieces stay in there column while you have to switch the flower pots under them to match the needed ingredient with the one approching. This twist is very enjoyable.
Cute, simple and polished.
SqueegyX 5.0 stars Version: 1.0.0
And the gameplay is actually fun for such a simple mechanic. My expectations were exceeded.
Limited, needs a few more options.
amybang 3.0 stars Version: 1.0.0
Fun little game but escalates to too hard too fast. Some of the bonuses you can earn are not clear - what is a time bonus? How do I know I got one? Also, when you die there is no way to start again at a higher level just to practice. Would be nice if you could earn extra lives in some way.
