The amount of content in this game makes it great on it's own. Just had a few problems though... 1. I can live with the pop up backgrounds, but cars in front of me disappearing when they get a little bit away is very annoying. 2. Haven't had this problem with any other car (not sure if i will), but when i was in interior view driving the Ford mustang (might have been the shelby don't remember which) i had to switch from that view so i could see the road the steering wheel and dash took up well over half the screen. 3. The C and B championship opponents are too easy (haven't gotten to A yet). Don't think it is the AI so much as it is their cars specs aren't high enough. 4. Not that big of a deal since the in game music is great, but being able to play my own music during that game would be nice.

This is an ambitious game that just doesn't make the cut...graphics are truly terrible...pop up occurs 3 feet in front of you..load times are enormous and the game is just not worth waiting for. Engine noise and music are awful. There is no reason to get this with Real Racing available unless you must have licensed cars...RR is console quality..people who say this is console quality must not have anything newer than a PS1. I have other gameloft titles so I expected more from them..I never write negative reviews but with this getting so many inexplicable positive ratings I had to speak out. **UPDATE** The depth of gameplay and physics of the cars is impressive, but the game still lacks polish

Don't believe the hype for the positive reviews below. I can only assume that they are the work of Gameloft's PR company. This is a terrible game when compare to Real Racing and NFS Shift. The car dynamics are very unreal, the opponent cars seems to float above the track and the background pop-up issues should have been dealt with long before it was released to the public. I can only hope that they release a patched version soon that deals with these issues. Until then, for me at least, this is pretty unplayable.

Gameloft came through and delivered! Graphics are MUCH improved. I have all 5 major racing titles for the iPhone platform, and this one is slowly gaining steam in my book! 5 stars for being diligent about fixing glaring graphics problems. Thanks!

The graphics aren't bad, but there are games for the iPhone (need for speed underground) with WAY better graphics. The most annoying thing is that if you buy a part and put it on your car (like a spoiler) it gives you the performance improvement, but there is no spoiler attached to your car. Same thing with body kits, it changes how the car drives, but there is no visual change. You can improve the performance, change the paint color, but that's as far as the custimization goes. However, with a little tinkering in the tuning and settings, the car handles pretty well. It would be 5 stars if it was 1 or 2 dollars, but for $5 I expect more. With the update, graphics didn't improve much, but cars stopped randomly disappearing and reappraring.

This game might look great and all by the pictures but, to get your moneys worth your probably gonna want to get real racing instead of this game, the grafics are not good and the controls are very unrealistic, NOT WORTH 7 BUCKS!!!

As a person who also owns nfs shift and Ferrari racing, this app has good and bad qualities. It's graphics are like ferraris: so-so. But it's cars are like nfs: awesome! So if u don't mind 3 to 4 star graphics, u will enjoy this game a lot!

A Bugatti on top of it all, sweet! If your a fan of the Gran Turismo series this is for you!

First off, im using this game on a iPod touch 3g, which has better graphics and 256mb of ram. I love this. It is literally a full on game. The graphics still need a little tinkering, but it is really a good game. I own almost all the high priced racing games, and this is ranked at least 1 or 2. (3/2/10) UPDATE: Still a great game! The update added better, longer graphics, so the buildings barely pop up on you! The fast bugatti veyron was added, and that was just great. I now rate this game a firm number 1. This is the best racing game out there, and will be for a few months. Get it now if you have thought about it. Very fun and challenging, it's almost like carrying around a console game with you! FUTURE UPDATES: Please gameloft, add a Audi r8 v10 in the S class, just as another person said below me. Also add the chevy camaro, dodge challenger, other various dodge made cars, Aston Martin's, Porsche, and the eclipse. Some buildings are not fully 3-d, so please look into that. Als, make future paid updates that makes the standard of this game a little higher. This is what we all want! If you don't do this, this game will probably fall down and be forgotten about in the app store, like your other games. Make the display in the car move with the game too. So, when your going 100mph, the dashboard on the car says that too. And on the steering wheel, make the car logo more detailed. It sort of looks like you copied and pasted it there. Lastly, fix the white flashes while racing please! (3/2/10)CONCLUSTION: Great game with great, brilliant graphics. Get it. Thank you for making a great game, and I look forward to future updates! UPDATE: I have played this for quite a while, and still love it. The cars are great, but the sound is basically the same for each and everyone of them. Please make the Audi r8 sound like a Audi r8. This game has a lot of races, far more than need for speed shift, but a little less than real racing. I still rank this game a 1 or 2 on my list. Great game once again! If your on the edge of getting this and not, I think this game is worth the $6.99. Heck, I would of paid 10 for it. Have a great day!

This game is horrible to the point of being unplayable. This makes me wander how anyone can rate this 5 stars. Since I can't get my money back I will never again buy a gameloft game.

OK i know how people are all "oh its great and stuff" i'll tell you why. 1st off the graphics are some of the best that i've seen don't listen to these idiots who say "oh well the background fly's around and is distracting. they fixed that 2nd you can play with almost any car in the game in arcade mode which i thought is better than just playing the campaign 3rd of all the campaign is great it shows you every thing in detail you can even get cars without buying them which is a token saver for me although its a little easy but sometimes it can be difficult but its great game definitely worth the $7

I gave this a three star because there's no crashing effect, and in the interior of the car totally looks like a cut-and-pasted picture. Other than that it's the greatest racing in the whole app store and I'd recommend it to any body.

Thanks for the update. Would like to see more updates in the future. Also I'd like to see some dlc. Some car packs some tracks. More trucks/SUVs. Hope im not asking for to much here. In willing to pay for the dlc and any updates that may not be free. Moneys not a problem. I just need something to buy. Great game. Your best raccing title to date. One of your greates apps too.

The update came out was amazing thanks for cars Now it's better I can play game everyday on my touch.

Fix these graphics!! This is unacceptable from gameloft, which just happens to be my favorite iPhone game developer!!!

Got it since yesterday and I think the graphics can be better. That said,I noticed a long delay in booting up everytime ur trying to start a new game or an event and I find it disturbing. The controls are pretty responsive and the array of cars to choose from is a delight. I expect an update soon to correct these ills and hopefully it becomes my best racing game on the iPhone.

I can't keep my car on the track on even the highest sensitivity, let alone ahead of the pack. Cmon Gameloft- make the controls like the Asphalt series- as it stands I just wasted 7 bucks on an uncontrollable game that looks pretty- so disappointed.

Pros: 1) Gran Turismo and Forza had a baby. Gran Turismo depth of story and Forza phyisics. 2) Online runs very well. 3) Buy, sell, and customize real world cars. Cons: 1) Needs a car and track pack (Honda, Camaro, Challenger, Neon SRT4, more race cars, Road ATL, Nurniburg*, LeMans, etc.) 2) Glitches some times. Acts like a Toyota and gas stickes. 3) Drifting takes too much speed off the car. Conclusion: This is that game you wait for it come out for a year and buy it at midnight. It's that good. Needs a bit more to it but it's an iPod game. Just a sugesstion, not a complaint. If this was a 10 star rating I'd give it a 9.3ish. Definte buy.

I can't beleive I spent 5 bucks on a app but after reading the reviews I had to buy it! If you like racing games you will race this for hours then you will go buy the extra batterie pak for your iphone!! this is by far the best game on iphone graphics are owsome and you feel like you are racing for sure! It is not like those other crappy games that you just get alot of practice pressing ''DO IT" I love this game and as soon as my batterie is charged up again I will stop writing reviews and go back to what is important, RACING!!

You should add like when you crash an airbag cone out of the wheel as an option that would make it even more real. (:
