Well, finally! A long awaited ibisMail is here. I've bought it and tested about one hour with 3 different e-mail accounts. Everything works fine for me. Very good and useful application. I guess, it even can get golden award "editor's choice" of news portal www.ibloko.ru even, after more tests.

I have downloaded and run ibisMail and it seems to do everything as advertised and its added features above Mac Mail make it well worth the investment. I really like the landscape mode and the ability to add folders with filtering.

The app is unable to sync any of my folders without crashing (I have tried 3 different accounts) and throws a "BadPortNumber" error when it attempts to connect to an SSL server with a self-signed certificate. Eventually this app may be nice but right now it's unusable.

Must have for anyone who uses email often

This app needs to be removed from the store. It formerly crashed upon every launch. Now, with the update, it loads messages into the wrong folders, including putting previously received messages into the send queue--which it then sends. I will now most likely have to track down and apologize to the dozens, maybe hundreds, of recipients of these old messages because I have to assume they weren't just re-sent to me, but to all the "to:" and "cc:" addressees. When the first round of rougue sending was done, The inbox on the server had over 30 messages sent by the app--with the app telling me that it has loaded 30 more to send. Apparently each time it reloads mail, it puts more previously received messages into the send queue. I simply can't afford the time of dealing with the problems this item creates. Remove it, debug it, and test it properly before releasing it again.

Doesnt work with MobileMe, very slow and buggy.

Just crashes when refreshing Gmail account.

The worst iphone app I've used.

I was teased by this app on TUAW but have been unable to connect to ANY of my email accounts: IMAP, POP, and MobileMe. Nothing works. And it looks soo promising. Let's hope there is an update coming soon where I can get a chance to see if there is something to get excited about. But for now, 1 star.

Well, now I can't even add accounts for G-Mail... This version seems worse. If I can't add an account, what's the use in syncing. I'd rather have my money back until it's out of beta, but oh well.

The update fixed the sending issue. Next update needs to include automatic fetching, able to set a reply-to-address, and notification options when emails are received.

Does not work at all. Noticed the bug report. Why sell it if it does not work for my IMAP.

It crashes constantly. Can't update a certain folder and will not send mail. I have gmail BTW. From what I have seen this addresses all the shortcomings of the OS.email. It looks like it will be the email we have been waiting for. Please fix it guys!

A little buggy but I haven't had any major problems with any of my accounts. The landscape and filtering are a definite improvement over the junior high iPhone email. I would like it to be sortable and searchable but that is apparently too much to ask on an iPhone.

Hackers must be a favorite movie around ibis inc. because crash and burn is about the only thing this program does well. I have fiddled with my gmail account with the imap configuration and could get nowhere. I could see a folder listing if i tried to remap my outbox, trash, etc, but could not get any mail to load. I finally got it to load through pop and it was nice enough to load 200 emails into the inbox from 2005 and didnt create any of my labels or folders.

This looks like it could be a great app, but I can't get IMAP to work with exchange. Pop3 works, but just doesn't offer the same features. Stay away if you are looking to use IMAP with exchange. I tried with 3 accounts on 3 different servers.

Doesn't work with MobileMe, which I hope will change with an update. Once that little hurdle has been cleared, it looks like it will be a great app.

The app crashes all the time. I set up my gmail account and it's unfortunate that the app crashes continuously. I would love this app if you would stay connected to your mail account. Rather then reconnecting. Again the app crashes . I love the layout of the app and it's landscape keyboard .

I have always had trouble getting my sbc/at&t mail on my phone with mail, but with this app my account was up and running in no time! Keep up the good work!!! :^)

.....unless you understand Japanese. I bought this yesterday and all text (except for the menu buttons) are not in English, but all the screenshots on the app store ARE in English. Honestly, the program looks good from the description, but until they release the English version, hold off.

I downloaded this app knowing about the reviews and bugs. I have set up 3 gmail accounts and I have yet to have any issues. This app has amazing potential.I can't speak for the other reviewers because I'm not sure if they know how to set up IMAP . It hasn't crashed, it sorted all my folders from gmail without issues. I'll write again if I run into problems. I would recommend downloading it at 99cents because once the bugs are fixed for other servers ( none with gmail so far ) this app will probably replace the native ( atleast until 3.0 ) . I am not friends with the developer nor do I know them. This is an HONEST review

Read thereviews and took a chance. There's a lot of configuring just like with any pop account. I added two different accounts. All my email downloaded fine. the icons at the bottom of the screen could be a bit bigger. Others mentioned the program locking up. I thoght this happened but I was wrong. If you select a lot of emails to delete at one time the app takes a while to delete them and appears to not be working but it really is. I like how simple it is to add contacts. Needs a few improvements but over all it does everything it said it would do. This app turned my iTough into a mail app rather than just having an email reader (which is really all the Mail App really is that comes with the i Touch).

Update: Just received response from developer. Fetch (and push) reception of email is NOT supported. You MUST OPEN APP first for it to go out and look for mail and to see if you have any new messages to download. At least with native app there is FETCH and/or PUSH support to automatically download email without having to open the app. With this app you have to open it first to even see if any new mail is available which means you have to constantly open the app to look for mail. Only then will the number of emails appear on their mail icon. That's pretty useless. Also HTML is not supported. I see absolutely no advantage to using this over the native email app. All the "advanced features" like rules and folders are useless if automatic fetch isn't available.
